GWS recently completed a significant repair/replacement of our roof. They were brilliant from start to finish.

Unlike many other companies, they came on time to quote and promptly provided an estimate; they took the time to explain any uncertainties, and provided indicative sums where required to cover potential risks. All questions, no matter how trivial, were answered promptly.

Once budget and schedule were agreed they showed up every day on time. The crew was always polite, cheerful and respectful. Again, they always took the time to explain progress and next steps.
They worked hard to find solutions to difficult areas and where honest when work was not required, thereby saving us money.
There weren't any major issues but all small ones were always resolved quickly. They do not walk away from the job until you are satisfied.

A huge thank you to GWS for making a very stressful period just that much easier.

Our roof has been leaking for 10 years, over that time we've had various builders look at the problem and none have been able to fix the leak.

GWS Roofing were recommended by a friend in the building trade. When they came to quote they were immediately able to identify potential problem areas. They gave us a clear quote detailing the cost to fix each problem area.

The workmanship was excellent and the job was completed on time and to budget. Plus it appears that the leak has been fixed :)

Major repairs and re-roofing carried out to our Grade 2 building in the City of London. Compared to competitor quotes GWS were clearly more confidence inspiring and less ambiguous re scope and uncertainties. Completed job on time without calling on any of the contingency amounts. Couple of minor issues as we went along, as might be expected for a big job, and no issues have arisen 1 year on.

I manage our own apartment block and our flat roof was in very bad repair and leaking into several of the flats. It needed replacing. I got several varied quotes for replacement and as costs were pretty high I recruited a chartered surveyor to oversee the quotes and recommend. Best thing I ever did. When I told the contractors there would be a surveyor involved, they disappeared. The surveyor then recommended GWS Roofing as they had dealt with them before. One thing of importance was they would guarantee the roof works for 20 years. They did a full analysis on the roof and recommended Langley Roof technology and they are approved fitters of this roofing product. The job took just over 2 months. They did an amazing job for me. There were weekly inspections by the surveyor and the roof suppliers with reports to me on progress. They were on site every morning and on time and worked every day until the job was complete. I could not fault their effort and enthusiasm throughout the construction. They invited me to observe the roof at regular intervals to see the progress. I was delighted with the result. I could not recommend them high enough. I have my guarantee too and that is something that not all roofing contractors will supply. Brilliant Job and company to deal with! I thoroughly recommend them.

Really great, professional, worked on schedule and didn't overpromise. Laid out the risks and options for a very serious and complicated job. When damage (from a previous roofer) turned out to be worst that expected, GWS provided expert advice and worked flexibly to solve the problem at fair price.

For a routine plastic roof overlay two years ago, I had originally gotten an estimate from GWS and another roofer. I went with the slightly lower bid and lived to regret it. When I brought GWS in to fix the problem the low bidder left, I realized I would have saved a lot of time and money going with them in the first place. Thanks to Joe, Gary and Stu!

A professional and reliable roofing company who clearly set and deliver high standards of work. My wife and I were initially unsure how to approach such a company as we had not dealt with a roofing problem before but I must say that GWS made the process simple and stress free from the outset. I’m not usually one to leave reviews but since we’ve had a lot of free time I just thought I’d say thank I you to GWS for the impressive work recently undertaken to replace our roof. The overall project was managed extremely well, and had everything explained throughout Including the process and all the costs. The work had started before the covid-19 lockdown happened, and we were so delighted when they told us that they would do everything in their power to finish the job for us, which they did, and was all completed last week.

Thank you GWS! Recently had a leak in our roof which had been progressively getting worse, and was over the moon with the service I got from this company. The man I dealt with over the phone was really helpful and had a guy come over and take a look at it a few days after our call, he very quickly worked out what was wrong and it was sorted the following week!
That was over 3 months ago now and so far had no other problems!
Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful, and friendly company, from start to finish they were professional and super helpful! If I have any more problems in the future they will be the first I call and will definitely be recommending them.

I would give no stars but that’s not an option. I’ve recently asked this company to quote for a roof job. I have a leaky roof. I’d read that they were members of Which and thought I may have found a reputable company but I was wrong. I asked three roofers to quote and this one came back with a quote for over £10,000 for a job that costs under £1,000. They are charging £3,000 to replace flashings that cost less than £700. I was appalled by the amount of things they included in the quote. A complete new roof costs around £6,000! I’m not sure what planet they are living on but it’s certainly not Earth. They give the trade a bad name. I will complain to Which about them as they can’t get away with this. Don’t go anywhere near them.
