I bought a refurbished "like new"…
I bought a refurbished "like new" Precor treadmill from GymPros. I was so excited to get a treadmill that I use at my Gym! GymPros said they would even rush my shipment for Free! Then I got it and had to help get it off the transport myself! The treadmill was full of dirty and in no way like new. It had parts from other treadmills as if it came from a Junk yard. It didnt even work when it was plugged in and there were cord that say broken on them! It took them over a month to get a tech to see the issues. On top of that they do not return phone call or emails. It been the worse customer service and unethical company I have worked with. On top of that the tech came out to my home to see the treadmill and even the tech said this treadmill was trash and the whole thing needs to be completely replaced! HORRIBLE COMPANY AND VERY UNETHICAL. DONT BUY FROM THEM. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HASSLE!
Gym Pros looks to be a fraud and scam!
I ordered a Muscle D Single Stack home gym from Gym Pros on 11/21/20, and was promised delivery in 2 weeks. It is now almost a month. I call various people at Gym Pros and they promise to "look into it and we will call you back." They have NEVER returned a single call I have made. I paid a total of $3,270.03 for the home gym, delivered and assembled. Nothing. I have contacted my bank and have been promised a temporary credit while my bank looks into the matter.
Possible Scam Alert! Buyer beware! Would not recommend!
I ordered a Precor 556 V3 elliptical from Gympros on September 25, 2020. I have called and emailed them multiple times concerning my order and have been given various excuses why it hasn't shipped yet. At one point I was told Precor had to make a part for my treadmill so they could finish the refurbishing and then the next time I called I was told that they had just got a new shipment of used ellipticals in and mine would ship from that batch. I have yet to get a return phone call from them and have had to initiate each interaction. Finally, last Monday I was told by Jim on the phone and by Brie via email that it would ship last Friday. I called today to check on the order and Dana told me that she would check my order and call me back. I have been holding off writing this review because I wanted to give Gympros the benefit of the doubt but after reading a review that suggests someone ordered and received(in NYC!)an elliptical in 6 days I felt I should report my experience. They have my money and I have nothing but excuses and empty promises. Hopefully I will be able to revise this review after receiving my elliptical in the coming weeks.
Update- called again on Thursday, December 10 and was told it would ship this week. Today is Friday the 11th and it hasn't shipped. I've called both numbers for Gympros and they don't answer. Looking more and more like a total scam.
I bought an AMT elliptical in late…
I bought an AMT elliptical in late July. It showed up complete destroyed, Brie said she would send a new one, it never showed. Finally got a sales person on the phone to ask for a refund, he said he would get me one. Have not heard from them since. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT OPERATE AS A BUSINESS SHOULD.
FYI, they did give me a refund, so at least they tried to do the right thing. (10/9)
Ordered equipment 5 months ago (April…
Ordered equipment 5 months ago (April 4th) After I paid in full for the equipment ($16,000 plus) all communication stopped. I am still waiting on equipment or a refund, but I get no response. Brie and Roy will tell you what you want to hear until you realize it is all lies. Dig into the positive comments and I guarantee most are fake. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else.
I was told over a month ago they couldn't get olympic plates that I paid for so I ordered from TAG and recived in under 7 days. Gympros.com still won't refund money. Very poor customer service. I am pursuing legal action since they try to wait people out. I'm to stubborn to give in.
Horrible to say the least
Horrible to say the least. Do not buy from Gym Pros: no call backs or very late answers to emails and calls. I'm a 70 y.o. retired woman who bought this machine to improve my health and mobility during the pandemic, and all I've gotten is a tremendous amount of stress, and the expenditure of a critical amount of my income. I bought an ELLIPTICAL PRE AMT 100I Commercial + the anti static mat + Shipping + the White Glove Delivery ($ 2,790.33 on a credit card). The purchase date is June 17, 2020. Delivery was not until August 21 = Without the White glove service for which I paid. The 500 lb. machine was dropped on my backyard on a pallet. The delivery man could barely move it and said that was all he could do. As of today, the machine has been under 100+ degrees of heat in the yard, the grass dying, who knows the effect of the heat on the machine, and Brie, plus other people from Gym Pros have said they would send the White Glove people to finish the work, but they have not come. My son has been helping with the communications and I have a full record of the conversations. NOTHING has been done, no resolution at all, I do not know what do do at this point. Get the law involved? I have Facebook, and will open a Twitter account to speak up and post about this abuse, so other people like me, do not buy from Gym Pros.
They did nothing that they promised me
They did nothing that they promised me. Order was three months late. Equipment was broken. Took another six weeks. They then told me installation was not included. I feel so cheated and lied to. I would highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs.
Don't believe a word they say!
I'm the kind of person who normally writes good reviews. Gympros has earned a VERY NEGATIVE review from me. Swore the machine they were sending was "Like New". Not even close. Not the machine I ordered. Machine not working, cracked, and missing parts. Brie sounds nice on the phone but doesn't do what she says she's going to do. Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau and am contesting charge with Credit Card. I wish I could rate them with no stars, but I'll have to settle for 1. Look somewhere else!!!
Believe the negative reviews.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. The finance company they used to work with has even stopped working with them because they told me too many of the customers are asking for refunds because GymPros either didn't deliver the right item or the item was damaged or missing pieces. Here is my story.
I Purchased a TUFFSTUFF UNIT 550 $4800. Financed it through their GreenSky finance co.
4 weeks later I received the LESSER Model 225 $2800.
Texted Roy, Brie called and told me MY UNIT is NOT AVAILABLE for several months and that I could use the lesser model until I get my unit. I then received the bill from GREENSKY for payment for the $4800 unit!. After about 50 emails and texts, NO ONE IS RESPONDING. I contacted GREENSKY and disputing this charge. I told them to come pick up this other unit and cancel my order. I'll order it from someone else. Trust me when I tell you BELIVE THE BAD REVIEWS.
FIVE MONTH NIGHTMARE UPDATE!
This is an update on my horrific, “over the top’ bad dealings with Gympros. After FIVE months, never ever got the parts taken out of the boxes to my brand new $7000 gym.
Had to buy the parts from the manufacturer. Imagine your car dealer sold you a new car, but no headlights and you can’t drive it. That’s Gympros.com. Three words: PLEASE STAY AWAY.
MILES AWAY. SOLAR SYSTEMS AWAY. Because whatever you buy you will not get. Brie is the master sales woman that can sound nice during the sale, but when your equipment does not show up or delivered with missing parts, the woman vanishes into non-existence. And if she ever tells you “ we shipped out what you need”, well must have been the ship Titanic because it’s never going to arrive.
Don’t say you have not been warned!
Never shipped, and double charged!
One of the worst experiences ever. Didn't send me my invoice, had to reach out and ask for it. Once I finally got it, they had charged me for shipping TWICE. Hundreds of extra dollars (now I know why they didn't send the invoice).
Delivery would take 14-21 business days. Reached out because I still hadn't received it, and was told the office manager Brie would call me later that day. Nothing.
Reached out again, days later and Brie picked up. Told me that it hadn't shipped and wouldn't ship for at least 2-3 weeks.
When asked why I was being charged full price and why no one was telling me anything, she said that Tony should have already contacted me about the delays, but he was no longer with the company.
Worst experience ever. Would not recommend this company, or their "manager" Brie. She also kelp saying she would call me, and never did. She even went as far as to threaten to cancel my order since there was a wait list of people who actually wanted this.
Do not believe the rating
Do not believe the rating, should be zero!!! I ordered a piece of equipment and paid extra for white glove service of $500, Roy promised me to be delivered in four days- it has been four weeks - Brie is horrible customer service- DO NOT BUY HERE !!!!!
First time I've ever had to file a…
First time I've ever had to file a complaint against a business. Such a shame, because all it takes is communication, which this company completely lacks. They get back to you right away when you're showing interest in purchasing something, but the minute the money exchanges hands, you won't hear a word back from them. My husband and I purchased a $4,000 refurbished Precor AMT from Gympros. Originally spoke with Brie who was very pleasant and answered all my questions as I was a little nervous spending that much money on a piece of exercise equipment. Brie ensured me that purchasing the warranty would take care of any concerns I had. We decided to go with the top of the line model which supported an integrated console that allowed for wired internet access. We purchased the unit on May 24, 2020 and the unit was delivered on Friday June 5th, 2020. Delivery is an entirely different story. For 3 days I was given the total run around. Still didn't clue in to what I was dealing with with this company. Because of all the issues, Brie offered an additional 6 months on my already purchased 2 year warranty. When the unit was finally delivered and set up, we noticed that two of the welded feet that adjust for height and keep the unit stable and balanced were broken off (first thing wrong with machine). The technician said we'd have to contact customer service. We also tried to get instructions on how to setup internet access and he said "look at the owners manual" online. After going to the Precor website, we were able to find the online manual and attempted to set up the internet access. We ended up finding out that the unit wasn't even wired for internet (main selling point). There was a giant hole where the Cat 5 cable connector would be. So basically, internet capability is useless on this machine. We called and spoke with Brie, sent her pictures of the broken feet and the missing Cat 5 port and she said she'd order the parts and send a technician out to fix. We waited two weeks and heard nothing. We called back and asked when we could expect someone to come out and were told someone would call us back to set that up. I asked if the parts had been ordered and was told there wasn't anything indicating that parts were ordered, but sit tight and we'd get a callback. Another week goes by and we hear nothing. We call again and this time get transferred to Roy. We explain our entire situation again and are promised that a technician would come out and look at the machine. My husband follows up the same day with an email to Roy going over what was discussed on the phone and provided pictures of the things that needed to be fixed on the machine. Roy never responds back to the email. I send an email to Brie hoping that maybe I'd have better luck than my husband trying to reach someone and she doesn't respond to my email. I ask my husband to call yet again (two weeks has gone by) and he gets told that he needs to leave a voicemail and someone will call him back and is forwarded to a mailbox that is full. I'm at a complete loss as to how to get anyone from this company to respond to us. It's as though they have completely dropped off the planet. I'm realizing now that anything that needs to be fixed on the unit is going to be my responsibility and paying for a 2 year warranty was completely useless. I decided to give Gympros one last time and I sent Brie a text message and Roy one last email saying that I was going to file a report with the BBB and neither responded. We've been completely ignored since the unit was dropped off. At this point my hands are tied. I was suckered by this company just like all the others who have filed complaints. These people will gladly take your thousands of dollars and then disappear when it's time to honor the warranty. I'm now stuck with a machine that has started making these terrible shrieking noises, is propped up with two wood shims, missing the wired internet and to top it off, I'm still waiting on the original mat that I purchased but was told they were sold out of. In short, please think twice before you do business with Gympros. Unfortunately we learned the hard way. Just wish it wasn't such a big ticket item.
If I could give this company zero stars…
If I could give this company zero stars I would. I purchased an Arc Trainer in August 2019, upon its arrival it was making noises and not working properly, we notified them and sent pictures and video of the unit. After about 50 phone calls and emails with "Customer Support" they sent a tech (Feb of 2020). We haven't been able to use the unit the entire time, the tech gave us a long list of items that needed fixing, said clearly this wasn't "refurbished" and that it is unsafe to use. Now as of July 2020 (11 Months after receiving the unit) it hasn't been used and responses from the company aren't being answered. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
General Experience
First of all, I’m one of those people that likes to go out of my way to give people a good review when they do anything right. I hate giving bad reviews but this one has to be noted. The treadmill took eight weeks to arrive. They sent me the wrong one 6 weeks after I ordered it and that one was completely banged up. Extremely difficult to get customer support on the phone. It felt like they didn’t have enough equipment for the demand during the quarantine and they didn’t have the customer support in place to handle what people were asking of them. I have the exact treadmill that I wanted and I love it. A part on the bottom cracked during delivery and they said they would send someone to fix it but they never did. At this point I’m out of gas dealing with them and I’ll just keep it with the cracked piece. Please also keep in mind that these treadmills are enormous and they cannot get through a normal doorway so plan on having someone really clever take it apart and put it back together if you need it to go through a doorway. The bottom line is that the treadmill is great for $2400 but the process of buying a treadmill from Gympros wan not a pleasure.
Do not order anything from this company…
Do not order anything from this company they are horrible. I ordered a stairmaster back in March. When I finally got it it was missing the cord to plug it in called and it came in 2 weeks later. Went to start it up and it did not work took 3 weeks for them to get someone to come look at it. Guy said it was missi h a part they would call gympro to get it approved to get it under the warranty. That was back in may and I am still waiting for it top get "approved"called multiple times and have been told it's a approved but the service company has still not gotten confirmation from gympros. I am so sick of dealing with this company it's a load of crap. It has a 6month warranty and it's been 3 since I got it. I feel like they will keep giving me the ring around til the 6 months is up then say it's not under warranty so they cant do anything. Do not under any circumstances buy from this company. You will regret it. They should be shut down
I ordered a PRE 835 Precor EFX 835…
I ordered a PRE 835 Precor EFX 835 Commercial Body Elliptical Machine on March 18th, 2020. I was dealing with Brie Garrett. She led me to believe that the product would be delivered within 2 weeks I got constant e mails from the company that the product would be shipped. The product was never shipped and they lied about the installation as well. I paid for installation in the contract which they denied. i then cancelled and was advised about a 30 percent stocking fee when the product was not delivered. I called Green Sky the financing fee who I got the financing from. I was advised that Gym Pros refunded some of the money and I owed $2267.79 which was 63.55% of the product cost without ever getting it delivered or installed..
Stay away from Gym Pros and Green Sky. They are bogus fraudulent corporations who do not deliver and attempt to collect most of the cost of the products. Similar complaints have been made. They need to be investigated and regulated ASAP.
BUYER BEWARE*** terrible custom…
BUYER BEWARE*** terrible custom service!! Especially from their INCOMPETENT employee, Brie Garrett who misleads you to make the sale and then lies about product shipping.
As off June 2020 GYMPROS has 39 BBB COMPLAINTS filed in past 2 years.
GreenSky, the finance company they use have 420 BBB Complaints.
My Experience: Product promised in 14 - 21 Business Days
I'm on DAY 33 and STILL NOTHING. I asked for refund after the 21 day point and was told I could cancel with $700 RESTOCKING FEE
april 21, 2020- Product ordered
May 7th to May 19th- Repeatedly asked for specific shipping details, Gympro response: CAN I CALL YOU BACK? 3 different occasions
May 29th- Sent email to request CANCELLATION with full refund due to poor customer service
May 29th to June 8th- Numerous calls and emails with Green Sky and Brie Garrett
Also now trying to get a hold of ROY CROCKER, V.P. of Sales, wont take my call or reply to 2 emails sent.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I was told my machine would arrive within 14-28 business days. When it did not, I reached out via e-mail, with no response whatsoever. I tried to call three separate times and it wasn’t until the third time that I actually received a call back. Within a few days from that I received a call saying my machine had shipped but might take longer than normal to arrive. About two weeks after that, it still had not arrived. I sent two e-mails (about four days apart) requesting a tracking number to follow my order. I received a response to the second e-mail saying that I would receive a tracking number the next day. This did not happen. I then called today and spoke with the sales manager. He told me my machine was still in production and has not been shipped out yet.
I reached out again 7 weeks after placing my initial order. Not once during this 7 week period did Gym Pros reached out to me to inform me that progress on my machine was being delayed or that it still hadn’t shipped yet. The only updates I received came after my repeated attempts to get through to customer service.
I eventually gave up and decided to get a refund and take my business elsewhere. I was not impressed by their customer service. I would not recommend them.
