I've used Heritage for several years for cards and coins. Their recent increases in buyer premiums are a lot higher than most auction houses, but you know what you're bidding on is authentic.

I've bought from Heritage Auctions for the past few years, but the service is getting worse. It can take days and multiple attempts to get a reply to an email. The items that used to be dispatched within a few days, now take weeks to be dispatched. Meanwhile the fees keep increasing as the customer experience declines rapidly.
Broken sign-in, fix your website. The website does not even remember sign-in credentials so I can not make a bid. Worst site experience I have ever had.

A great site and transparent. The shipping is a black box though. As a UK buyer, having no option to choose shipping options is poor. I bought $130 item and paid almost the same again for shipping after two weeks of admin to ship.
There must be slower secure ways of sending an item of that value. Otherwise, no complaints.

I recently tried Heritage Auction for the first time. My goal was to explore selling some coins and in the second, to buy some coins. I wasn’t a good fit to sell coins because my collection is very small. That’s okay it was a clear quick answer and sometimes “no” is the answer. On the buy side, I find every element to be well functioning. The pricing for the coins at the time of bidding is clear and it’s helpful they post the “Buyer’s Premium” (BP) with every bid, that way there are no surprises. There is plenty of time to alter your bid from one bid to the next and the ability to post a “Secret Maximum Bid” is extraordinarily helpful if you can’t wait for later coins, or you can’t join until after the auction has started. Because this is my first time I have had lots of questions. Sarah Miller and the Customer Support staff are prompt to respond, and very knowledgeable.
They tell you upfront and throughout the process what their fees are. If you want a good product and good support that costs money, and you get both with Heritage Auction. If you don’t like their pricing, that’s on you, they are very transparent about their pricing.

Heritage just like many other auction houses are just looking for "easy sells" they provide nothing to the community and no interest in history. They are lazy, rude, and misinformed.

Good evening. I tried to access an auction today. I've been trying to enter my information for over an hour, but I couldn't. I couldn't bid on the item I wanted. I feel frustrated and incensed . I will never work with them again.

The fees are outrageous to begin with and then when you receive your items if they are broken they will not give you a refund. It's a complete waste of time and money. EBay is much safer and won't break the bank. Who doesn't give refunds for broken materials? It's a complete joke

If the object is not of interest to them, they answer you by saying they sell it on eBay, without giving you any evaluation.
I had asked for an assessment of different types of objects in each request that I sent, but it was not considered, they probably use automatic emails.
This is not very professional.
Update: Some objects need an evaluation before being sold on eBay. On eBay, everyone does their price, there are expert sellers in the field of what they sell and there are scammers. There are people who sell coins for a minting error that does not exist for 2000 € !! . I did not send you coins, I sent you objects to which you could give an approximate estimate, but since it was not of your interest you did not consider the idea of helping me.

I recently had two foreign coin consignments in HA.com's NYINC auction in January 2025. Both coins brought much better than expected prices. A tip of the hat is due to the international coin division of Heritage (and to Al Pinkall) for facilitating this most positive outcome. Thanks Guys!

This was my first time selling with Heritage Auctions, and I was pleased with the results. The bidding was robust, and the proceeds exceeded my expectations.
Sarah Miller is pro and was great to work with.

Excellent service, as always. Sarah, at Heritage, always provides excellent service, prompt replies and helpful information and instructions. Pleasure to work with.
I read the reviews and not satisfied with what I was about to consign. can't afford the Bull Larkey. Dosen't sound like a safe bet. Things missing and to much S--t.
I bought fantastic works by Tommi Parzinger in the November 2024 design sale. Adam, Ricky, and their team were so helpful in making sure that these pieces arrived safely. Transparent, communicative, an A+ from this collector.
The team at Heritage Auctions is fantastic! I mainly bid on coins, and I've consigned some coins and sports-related items. Every interaction is professional, fast, and leads to great results. Sarah Miller is extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the coin side, and Lee Iskowitz and Tony Giese deserve a shout-out on the sports side. I wish I had more to consign!
Sarah Miller made the whole experience both informative and easy from the point of initial submission of images to physical handover and the cleaning process prior to auction.
Excellent auction experience. The process was easy and efficient.

I've been a Heritage Auctions client for decades at this point and they've always been my go-to for coin and currency transactions, both buying and selling. I don't collect 6 figure coins yet I'm on a first name basis with top management. Just a professional organization all the way around.
From the initial inquiry through sale the Heritage staff kept me up to date on all aspects of the auction process. They were always available to answer questions.
And finally I am delighted with results.
I’ve been both a buyer and seller in Heritage auctions and find them to be the premier auction house in the country. Sarah Miller specifically is professional, knowledgeable of the industry, and driven to assist the customer. I use them exclusively.
