Headline: Warning: Misplaced Trust and Costly Fine Print
I am sharing this to help others avoid a major financial pitfall. I met the owner, David, through my church and believed I could trust a man who worships and praises with me. Unfortunately , that trust led to a business experience that contrasted sharply with the integrity I expected.

Davis owns A&D Hail Garage LLC (also known as Hail Garage) . He works out of two shops , one in Arlington named JC’s Body shop 2623 S Cooper St ste117, Arlington, TX 76015 and the other one is Angel's Garage, Inc at 828 N Belt Line Rd , this is the one he has listed on his business card . I brought my vehicle in to JC’s body shop .

I explicitly told David, I did not want to repair the cosmetic hail dents on my 18 year old 4Runner; I simply wanted to keep my initial insurance payout. David persuaded me that he could get a higher "supplement" for me, he said I had much more damage than what the insurance is accounting for and paying for . I signed what he described as a "formality" to speak with my insurance company, when questioned the contract , he kept saying “don’t worry” , but it was actually a binding work contract.

While the insurance claim was increased, the contract allowed him to claim the entire sum , including my original $1,800 payout. To get my vehicle back , I was forced to pay $3,100 for cosmetic repairs on a 18 year old vehicle barely worth that amount.

While the business stayed within legal bounds, the process felt predatory.

As an insurance professional and active member of social circles and my neighborhood association, I am often asked for repair recommendations. Based on this experience, I advise extreme caution with this business . My advice: Do not let personal rapport , a friendly smile or shared values cloud your judgment. Read every line before signing, as a signature carries more weight than a man’s word and handshake.
