A Journey to Remember – Bosnia Ramadan 2025 with Halal Travel Guide
We traveled as a family of three from Malaysia (parents and a teenage son) during Ramadan 2025 to Bosnia with Halal Travel Guide and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We went really not knowing what to expect, and with some trepidation as we don’t usually travel in Ramadan. We need not have feared, because from start to finish, the team demonstrated the highest level of warmth and genuine care whilst being completely professional. Every detail was handled with care, and it was clear that our comfort, spiritual growth, and connection as a group were their top priorities.
What stood out most was how flexible and attentive they were to our individual needs. No request felt too big or small, and their responsiveness made the entire trip feel deeply personalized. The decision to keep the group intimate and small made a huge difference – we formed real bonds, shared heartfelt moments, and connected with one another in ways that larger tours simply don’t allow. We really felt that this was a testament to their sincerity and commitment in conducting trips with an intentionality that goes way beyond profit (though we hope you made a profit - so deserved!); but by a genuine desire to create meaningful, transformative journeys that bring people closer to their faith, to each other, and to the communities they visit.
Our host and guide, Sami Hamdi, was the soul of the journey. His generosity, insight, and sincere care for each traveler were palpable. Sami didn’t just guide us through Bosnia – he invited us into its rich history, culture, and spirituality with a depth that was both educational and moving. It felt more like traveling with a close friend or brother than with a formal tour leader. Alongside and supporting him were Nedim, Selma and the HTG Bosnian team who were always, always above and beyond; and so much fun, too!
We came away with beautiful memories, lasting friendships, and a deep appreciation for Bosnia’s spirit, resilience and love and admiration for our Bosnian brothers and sisters . We are so grateful to Halal Travel Guide for facilitating such a special trip. We can’t recommend them highly enough to anyone seeking more than just a holiday – this was a journey of the heart.

Beautiful Uzbekistan
This is our second trip with Halal Travel Guide, and it did not disappoint! Uzbekistan and its sights are exquisitely beautiful but what made it more special was to understand our own heritage and connection as Muslims to this land. One of the things that I love about Halal Travel Guide is that they make it easy to explore countries that we may have never even thought of visiting, but are in fact so vital to our history. The accommodations were phenomenal, food was great, and our guides, Humayun and Nedim, made the trip all the more special with their valuable insights, humor, and great company. We had a lot of ground to cover (hello, legs!) and a large group with us, but the itinerary was very well organized and executed.

I went on a summer trip to Bosnia…
I went to Bosnia in June of 2025 (Ladies only) and was blown away but the nature and history of the country. And through out trip we thoroughly explored both. Special thanks to Melissa for giving us everything we need and guiding us through her country, and Selma and Nadeem were amazing tour guides who explained the history of their country.
I think every Muslim needs to go to Bosnia, and learn about the history there, especially in todays world. It shows us a world after tragedy. A world rebuilt. A struggle that ultimately lead to victory. InshAllah I will be retuning.

Unforgettable moments in Uzbekistan
We just returned from the most incredible trip to Uzbekistan with Halal Travel Guide, and we’re still thinking of it!!
This was our first time traveling with a group, and to our surprise, it felt like we were with family from day one. Everything, from the thoughtfully planned itinerary, to the delicious halal food, and seamless logistics was absolutely perfect. The HTG team went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable for everyone, especially the kids, creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax and connect with others.
We laughed, explored, and made beautiful memories in such a unique and historically rich destination. It didn’t feel like just a tour, it felt like a meaningful journey with friends. We truly can’t wait to travel with them again!

We had an incredible trip with Halal…
We had an incredible trip with Halal Travel Guide to Uzbekistan, a country steeped in history, culture, and breathtaking Islamic architecture. Our well-planned and immersive journey took us through three of Central Asia’s most famous cities: Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara. Each city offered a unique glimpse into the region’s rich past and vibrant present. Our guides, Brother Sami Hamdi and Sister Soumaya, along with their local Uzbek team, provided insightful and engaging commentary throughout the trip.
This was our first experience with HTG, and we were blown away by their attention to detail and carefully crafted itinerary. They made sure our days started on time and we stayed on schedule. We got to experience amazing authentic Uzbek cuisine, learn how to do Islamic Calligraphy and pottery painting, and so much more. We learned so much about the Islamic history of this region and immersed ourselves in the Uzbek culture.
We are so grateful to Sister Soumaya and Brother Sami for their help in reviving the lost Islamic history of this region and making this trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to embark on another adventure with HTG and highly recommend them to all our family and friends. This was truly a memorable experience!

Uzbekistan 2025
Traveling with Halal Travel Guide is always one of the most enriching and soul-nourishing experiences one could experience.
From the moment we landed in Tashkent, it felt like this trip was designed to connect us to something much deeper. It wasn’t just about visiting beautiful places, it was about reconnecting with a part of our Islamic heritage. What made this trip even more meaningful was the fact that I was traveling pregnant and with my one year old in tow, something I was initially a little anxious about. But as always, HTG went above and beyond to make the journey not only manageable but genuinely enjoyable. The level of care, patience, and accommodation shown by the team and fellow travelers made all the difference. It truly felt like we were traveling with family.
What really stuck with me in Uzbekistan was hearing how meaningful our presence as Muslim travelers was to the locals. We were told that our visit, our duas and our curiosity helps breathe life back into the Islamic heart of the region, which made it so much more than just a vacation.
Every HTG trip I’ve been on has left me with an imaan boost and feeling closer to Allah, and that’s the most invaluable part of all. So excited for future excursions inshallah!

An Unforgettable Family Adventure with Halal Travel Guide
Our family loves to travel, but this was our first time exploring a destination with a group and with such a wide range of ages, from elderly parents to the babies in our family. We chose Halal Travel Guide for our journey to Uzbekistan, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From start to finish, Halal Travel was beyond amazing. Every logistical detail was handled with such care and professionalism that all we had to do was enjoy the moment. What truly stood out was the warmth and sincerity of the team. It genuinely felt like we were traveling with family.
The itinerary was thoughtfully curated, striking the perfect balance for our multigenerational group. Each day offered something memorable, meaningful, and manageable, whether it was exploring ancient cities, enjoying local halal cuisine, or simply soaking in the beauty of Uzbek culture.
We cherished every second of this trip and came back with full hearts and lifelong memories. I would highly recommend Halal Travel Guide to anyone looking for a well-organized, spiritually enriching, and culturally immersive adventure.

Uzbekistan Adventure
This was my third journey with Halal Travel Guide, and once again, they exceeded all expectations. Traveling with HTG isn’t just about sightseeing — it’s about purpose. It's a revival. It’s an ummatic mission.
On our trip to Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara with Sami Hamdi, one of the most eye-opening realizations was how underrepresented Muslims are in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector. The locals were clear: our presence as Muslim travelers helps revive and affirm the country’s Islamic identity. We weren’t just guests — we were part of a movement. We were told that the more Muslims show up, the more the country will naturally respond and shift to reflect its rich Islamic heritage.
A special part of this trip was our local host, Humayun from Tashkent. He welcomed us with sincerity and shared deeply personal stories — like the first time he and his friends went for Umrah, and what it was like growing up trying to live as a practicing Muslim during difficult times. His honesty reminded us of the resilience and faith that still runs deep in this land. And to our surprise and joy, we were joined by Nadim Frko from Mostar, Bosnia — our guide from a previous HTG trip. His presence brought back beautiful memories and added so much warmth and familiarity to our journey.
I strongly recommend visiting Uzbekistan — not just for its breathtaking architecture and profound Islamic history, but to support a living tradition. You’ll leave with more than memories — you’ll leave having contributed to something meaningful for the ummah.

I booked the Sisterhood Bosnia…
I booked the Sisterhood Bosnia Experience at the very last minute (two days prior to departure) with no prior experience or knowledge of HTG. The trip turned out to be a sister's wish come true. Bosnia itself was absolutely priceless—the natural beauty, rich heritage, and the warmth of the people made it unforgettable. But what truly elevated the experience was the incredible HTG team (and I say that without a hint of exaggeration). Our tour guide, Selma, was an absolute rockstar. She kept the group grounded, nurtured a harmonious and supportive atmosphere, and ensured we were well taken care of every step of the way.

First of many solo travelling trips !!!
This is my first time solo travelling and I’m SO happy I booked with Halal Travel guide!! First and foremost I must commend them on their excellent customer service and experience- They made everything so smooth and easy from the moment of booking . They were extremely responsive; within a couple of hours of messaging or emailing , I got a reply with all my questions answered. Not only that, they made a WhatsApp group with one of the managers/ owner of the company, another employee Gia who was the organiser and point of contact for our trip, and also Selma, our tour guide who was with us every day. Everything ran on time and so smoothly- transport from the airport as well as daily pick up and drop offs were on time , and felt very safe. If we were unhappy with anything , it was sorted very quickly by Gia or Selma.
I have to speak about Selma- our tour guide. She made the experience so amazing, so fun and so informative- she is an amazing woman who we all bonded with so much! Thank you Selma for making this trip so memorable.
We did so many things in such a short space of time , from the Sarajevo tunnel of hope to the old town to the beautiful and breathtaking short hike amongst the mountains with an amazing homemade lunch from a sweet Bosnian woman. Then we went off to Mostar which was just stunning. What made this trip so unique is that we were able to go to eat at the places the locals go to, we were able to do things that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do on our own, for example a fig cake making class in a Bosnian home - this was a a great experience with a Bosnian family who were so welcoming and generous! I would DEFINITELY book again! I felt safe as a woman travelling on my own and this is one of the biggest perks of the trip.
Thank you Halal Travel Guide for making this experience one to remember !! Thank you Soumaya, Gia, and Selma for your hard work, excellent customer service and experience, and a 5* trip.

Waste of time
The service hasn’t been good—halal travel and tourism are difficult to access, and overall, the experience has been disappointing.

Dear HTG,
Thank you for your message.
While I appreciate the follow-up, my disappointment lies not in the response time but in the handling of the situation as a whole. There was no refund, as no payment was made, and rather than seeking a constructive resolution, I was excluded from future services.
I’m grateful not to be proceeding further. As no successful resolution was found, I can only leave it here — though I would strongly advise investing in better complaint-handling practices moving forward.
Best regards

Selma's Number 1 Group
It was wonderful to travel with a ladies only group with a female tour guide. HTG dealt with all enquiries before the trip and throughout the trip. Had an amazing time in Bosnia with the very knowledgeable local tour guide, Selma, who was very helpful and kind. Met some amazing muslimahs of different ages and backgrounds and had the pleasure of discovering Bosnia's history and sights with a lovely group of people.
Thank you to Selma, Gia and Soumaya and to the "Number 1 Selma's Group". It was my first time travelling with HTG and thoroughly enjoyed it- looking forward to bringing my family to Bosnia one day soon Insha'Allah to learn more about the bravery and resilience of her people and to see some more beautiful sights iA.
Wish the company all the best, thank you for setting up a company which caters to the needs of muslimahs who love to explore! Jazak'Allahu Khairun

My Uzbekistan trip with Halal Travel…
My Uzbekistan trip with Halal Travel was a wonderful escape from home and gave me the opportunity to connect deeply with Islamic history. I also learned so much about the culture, people, and history of Uzbekistan. What made it even more special was being able to experience and learn about the history directly from the locals—it added a truly authentic touch.
Although our group was small, it was filled with energy and a shared enthusiasm for history. I was blessed to find a sister in Shameema and a brother in Zackriya—MashaAllah, both showed incredible patience and kindness, especially towards Safiya, the youngest in our group.
Humoyun was an outstanding guide—well-organized, well-prepared, and incredibly knowledgeable about every topic he discussed. His amazing team—Rahmatullah, Saodat, and Ameera—were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, which enhanced our experience even more.
Alhamdulillah, it was a memorable and enriching journey and I am looking forward to join halal travel guide again for another memorable trip InshaAllah.
