I can't say enough good things about the team at Halo. I have never dealt with such a responsive and friendly team. Full disclosure, the first collar I received failed and while they did an excellent job of replacement, I decided to test drive another pricey brand to make sure I had the best GPS fence system for my dogs. Long story short, the quality of the collar and the responsiveness of the Halo team won out in the end. I returned the other collars and am happy to say, I'm Halo for life!

Very frustrating app. I am tech savvy and I was disappointed that settings for various features were not straightforward. Worse yet is the battery situation. If you don’t have access to power daily this collar is useless since there is not way to conserve power or shut it down.

Waste of money for dogs that typically stay outside. The battery life is terrible and has to be charged every 18-24 hours. You have to keep charging them.

I purchased 2 collars for my dogs. One day before I could return them to Amazon both collars had charging issues. After 10 days or so Halo agreed to replace the collars. It took me 2 weeks to get them. After about two more weeks one of the collars wouldn't fully charge. They had me diagnose for another 3 days then shut the collar off (with no protection) and said they would send another collar. That was 3 days ago and it still hasn't shipped. I was also told twice that I would be receiving a phone call from a manager to "Rectify thee Situation" All I got was the same canned email they had previously sent out. I have had major issues with 3 of the 4 collars they sent. At this very high price and the monthly subscription ($13 a month for 2 dogs) I would definitely consider another collar. When they work it's great but their customer service isn't honest or organized. When asking for ETAs, they can't give one. Very disappointing.

Terrible customer service, deceptive shipping practices and price gouges you on the shipping cost. Buyer beware, They will take 7-10 days before the even ship the item, via ground shipping which will take another 3-5 days to arrive. They charge you $20 for the shipping then take their sweet time to actually ship it. If you contact their customer service they will throw company policy in your face as if it somehow makes the customer service experience right. I ended up having to dispute the charges and buy a different product. learn from my mistakes and look to other products right from the start. I have not even received the device yet, and already don't want to do business with this company ever again.

Never got to use the collar. Charged it for 3 days and still wouldn’t turn on to set it up with the app. Reviews had a lot of issues but we bought it anyways with the handful of good ones. For 600$ you would think it’s a good product. Quite frustrating.

The collar itself is great, but if the strap breaks or you need new prongs, good luck. It's been over a week since they took my money and I've received nothing. They need to work on their logistics.

The Halo collar is very beneficial....until it's not. I ordered a Halo #3 collar, for my Pit Bulldog, in the Fall of 2023. Within 3 months, the collar malfunctioned and another Halo #3 was sent (under the 1 year warranty). So far, so good.
On the other hand, in October/November 2024, another collar was ordered for my son's dog and a Halo #4 was sent. As of May 30, 2025, 5, that's FIVE, Halo #4 collars have been sent, due to various malfunctions of the NEW HALO #4. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. If I could get a refund for the Halo 4 collar, I would....not possible..refunds only given within the first 30 days of purchase (how convenient). If the warranty isn't extended each time the collar malfunctions, we are going to be out $600 with no working collar. DOES THIS SOUND ACCEPTABLE??

I purchased my dog’s halo collar in May of 2024, and since then, I’ve had to request two replacements (prior to the one that I submitted tonight). One replacement was for GPS malfunction, and the 2nd one was that my dog’s collar just stopped charging. On both accounts, I had to talk with a couple of different people to even get a replacement collar, and all in all. It took between 2-4 weeks to receive a replacement for both collars. This is incredibly frustrating. When the collar works, it’s great, but when it doesn’t, it’s incredibly frustrating. $500 for a collar, and having it break about every couple of months is incredibly frustrating. On top of that, my husband I posted reviews on their website giving our honest feedback, and they removed our posts because it wasn’t in the best light of the company. Out dog’s collar just stopped charging tonight, and I had to submit another claim tonight. The earliest in which we can get an appointment to get them to approve the claim is 5 days from now. This will be our 3rd claim, and from speaking with their rep previously, the battery charging and gpa issue is common. In between our monthly subscription fee plus paying for the collar, Im wishing that we just got an invisible fence. I’m so frustrated, and really just want to help people understand the product that of which they’re buying. 3 collars returned in a little over one year span is unacceptable.

We have a Spot On collar for our GSD and love it, no extra fees and outstanding customer service. We need a collar for my small terrier and unfortunately Spot On doesn’t make one small enough for her. So I bought a Halo on May 22. I was told it would be here by the 5/30 After numerous phone call on where my order is they keep saying their tracking system is down for required updates. I still have not recieved the collar but I had to buy a $9.99 monthly fee and have been charged for it without the collar. I am very disappointed in Halo and if I do not receive my collar by Tuesday 6/3 I am cancelling my collar and plan and requiring a full refund. Spot On is a US company and is in NH, I know my collar is on a shipping container in China. Buy USA!!!

Just save your money this makes no sense you pay $500+ for you to train dog to stay in fence than you have to buy a beacon $40 to have dog stay with in fence to time consuming and a waste. I thought when you bought collar after few feet collar whistle than vibrate than static if they get to close nope not how it works makes no sense you can use anywhere but than you have to train them in New area it was waste of money. They are proud to have Caesar Milan training video when in real life his dog aggressive look it up his dog attack a lady and unalived rapper Queen Latifa dog look it up. I was hoping for better results. Than when I called guy was nasty making me seem like a bad dog owner saying well if I want to put any shock collar on him instead of taking time and patience with dog no I paid for virtual fence for him to stay on property instead I got a collar that didn't work honestly like made no sense
