Rude, unreliable and a borderline scam

The female receptionist is extremely rude and my the price I got quoted doubled. I told her my car was dirty and she replied “Not my problem”. She also couldn’t find some parts to my car and told me if I didn’t find them, they’d recharge me for the entire MOT. I had to order it online and give it to them for them to fit it on the car. Not sure why they couldn’t have ordered it themselves? Never been told to buy my own parts for a garage to fix a car in my life!!

Terrible experience from start to…

Terrible experience from start to finish. Customer experience is nonexistent, rude receptionist and low quality of work! My car was left dirty and had to pay for my own parts. Visited due to recommendations but wish I’d stuck to my local garage. Would not recommend at all.

Avoid This Place – Total Disappointment

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Hamble Garage. The receptionist was incredibly rude and unhelpful from the moment I walked in. My car was returned in an unacceptable condition—completely dirty inside and out. On top of that, I was told I had to source and pay for my own parts, which I’ve never experienced at any other garage. Completely unprofessional and I won’t be returning.

Took my Landrover in for an oil leak to…

I took my Landrover in for an oil leak to crank case and a winch kit. After paying over £1,000 was handed a box with bits left over from the winch which I had to refit myself as had been done incorrectly.. They complained there were no instructions but didn't think to call me OR the manufacturer whose details they had in the packaging. A winch should be straightforward. Electrical connections weren't correctly made which I refitted myself.

The oil leak was worse than ever even after they'd replaced the crank case gasket. I took it to another garage who confirmed that a bolt was missing from the crank case hence the leak, it hadn't been replaced.. the other garage said they had deliberately left it out rather than do the job properly. I told Hamble garage the leak was worse than ever and was told with a shoulder shrug there were "lots of leaks". They just didn't seem to care. The other garage, S&C also in Hamble, were much better and fixed it. No leaks. I will go there in future. There was just one leak no lots, which was repaired perfectly by the other garage who put right Hamble garages work.

Bizarrely when mentioning this to others in Hamble I found I was not alone including BOTH my neighbours who had taken their cars to Hamble garage, both complained of paying more and more to "not" get their car repaired, simply paying more and more but yet not getting their issues fixed. Pity. I personally would avoid if need anything important done, other than simple service. In my opinion individuals just weren't up to the job and it seems I'm not alone. It very much depends on which particular mechanic you get to to do the job even at the same garage as I know some are good there..better management and hamds on supervision would have prevented my poor experience.

Great team and great service

Lovely team, very helpful. My car went in for an MOT, failed and had problems rectified nice and quickly for me to collect the following day. Also the price was very good, don't feel like you get overcharged like other garages.
