There are a few things that I rate highly.. first, Hammonds are happy for you to take out a car for a test drive on your own.. That had not been my experience on previous occasions with other suppliers..
Secondly, their warranty is well-worth having. A couple of year back, we had occasion to how good it was and were delighted with the support we had in having repair work done. We paid the initial cost but Hammonds refunded us within a day or two.
Lastly, as long as you keep to the manufacturers recommended service intervals, Hammonds are happy for you to use a service centre of your choice..
A great crew to help you check out your 'new' car :-)

I have a good experience with Jayden on my car.

Do not buy any car from these people. Within a few months of buying from the Norwich branch my Audis suspension totally broke on the back including snapped a spring and two broken shocks. Hammonds warranty wouldn't cover any of it. Then 2 years later the front suspension has followed suit the whole lot including engine mount has snapped. Seems like hammond cars scrape their cars through an mot and sell the cars ready to cost the customer thousands of pounds to fix. Avoid at all costs!

I bought a car on 16th May. I had a good look around and decided on a vw polo. My daughter in law and I were served by George at the Norwich branch. He was friendly and didn't rush me to make any decisions. He came with us on a test drive and helped me through every step on the way to buy the car. I would thoroughly recommend this branch of hammonds, they were all a friendly bunch and very professional. Thank you George. You are a credit to the team.

Beware dynamic pricing model, look at a car online, price goes up, arrange a viewing, price goes up, scan the QR code on site, price goes up...Warranty is expensive and is not underwritten but is a pool of money set aside for all Hammond sites, everything is dependent on assessment by them so you could end up with poor quality repairs or none at all.

Dealt mainly with the Ipswich branch where Stan was incredibly helpful. Also went briefly to the Norwich branch where George was helpful also.
We ended up buying at the Ipswich branch as the right car was there and Stan was great in talking us through the electric car and then with our purchase

I recently bought my car from this dealership and had a really great experience from start to finish. Lucy was absolutely fantastic- friendly, professional, patient, and very helpful throughout the whole process. She made everything easy to understand and never made me feel pressured.
Her customer service was excellent, and she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I’m really pleased with my car and would definitely recommend both Lucy and the dealership to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. Thank you again!

Polite, friendly and knowledgable staff. A good range of cars. As a woman buyer, they treated me the same as my husband, which other dealers haven’t. There was no pressure to buy, just a relaxed and honest approach. I like the 30 return policy, if you find the car is not what you expected. Would definitely buy from here again.

I bought a car from this dealership which test drove well, but broke down completely on the drive home and was left dead on my driveway. After being recovered, a serious engine fault was diagnosed.
As a rural resident relying on this as my only vehicle, I asked for a courtesy car, which was flatly refused because it was a "warranty issue rather than breakdown." Left stranded and unable to get to work, I legally rejected the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
While the dealership accepted the rejection and took back the keys/documentation, they are now unlawfully refusing to issue an immediate refund. They claim they will withhold my money for up to 4 weeks until the new V5 logbook arrives in the post.
Under the Consumer Rights Act, a refund must be issued "without undue delay and within 14 days" of an accepted rejection. Legally, they cannot withhold funds over a V5 document (which is not even proof of ownership). I have already notified the DVLA by post to backdate the ownership change, and the trade transfer could easily have been done online.
This company is lazy, shows zero consideration for the financial impact of leaving a customer stranded without their money or a car, and is operating in breach of UK consumer law. Avoid them at all costs.

Given space to browse but offers of help by all staff when we arrived. Able to see as many cars as we wanted albeit one at a time (assume for security?) very quick to sort out a test drive and encouraged to take this for as long as we needed (within reason), Paperwork was completed without fuss and able to drive away the same day.
