Having chatted to Rob at the company, I’ve politely requested several times that Hampton Lovett remove my details from their database, and stop implying they will undertake work (for a service fee) for properties we are not associated with, for a company they (Hampton Lovett) have no relationship with. The company also has no (zero) properties. I am pleased to say that Rob at Hampton Lovett has formally replied and agreed that the business in question has no relationship, nor has had with Hampton Lovett and they will not send any further communication, on any matter. Thank you for the prompt response.

I get several emails a week from this outfit telling me that my business rates are over-priced and that they can do something about it.
I pay NOTHING so this is obviously a mass-mail with no attempt to genuinely determine if the email is appropriate.
I attempted to stop this by unsubscribing in 2020, but over time they have crept back out and restarted.
PS expect this and other emails complaining about spamming to disappear shortly when HL complain to Trustpilot. This calls Trustpilot's judgement into question as well.
PPS see how many 5* reviewers have only ever left a single review.

Didnt get off to a good start with these clowns when they emailed me threatening that because I hadnt paid the upfront fee, they were going to sue me for it! At that point they hadnt actually done anything either (I knew I should have dropped them there and then)
Further down the line they kept sending emails for info they needed (different info every time), and all the time the didnt move their arses out of the chair, they just sent another mail saying why they couldnt progress because "they didnt have this/that document"
Came to a head today when they "released me from the contract" because I apparently "hadnt answered their emails, and they couldnt get through on the phone to speak to me", which is a complete and utter lie as we have 7 lines coming into the business plus an answer machine.They've obviously disappeared into the sunset with my £1800...................
AVOID AVOID AVOID. They will take your money, put the onus on you to do all the chasing of documents, then when you get close they will close the case citing "contract breach", when in reality I thing they realise they aren't going to be able to save you a damned penny.

Judge for yourself would you trust a company that buys email lists from unknown sources? They did this to sell their services to me. I have never given anyone permission to contact me via email for the simple reason that I don't use a business email. Hampton Lovett seem to think it's OK to break GDPR rules to send unwanted mail to random email addresses. If I did contact them from their spam message how will they handle my data? For this reason I wouldn't trust them or recommend the company

Hampton has been invaluable for my company, and I would recommend them to anyone!

The company delivered slightly more than the savings they had predicted. This means they understood their brief and were not wasting the client's time and money.

I Can’t begin to stress enough. I wish I paid more attention to the reviews before signing and paying.

If you’ve gotten this far into my review, i kindly ask you delete any emails from Lovett and direct all future emails to junk or spam

They are nothing but scammers who will sell you empty promises knowing full well they cannot deliver.

We had already challenged my rates to no success then Lovett approached us claiming we were unsuccessful simply because we failed to use key industry “grammar “ nor was the supporting document from a registered survey.

They convinced me alright. I fell for their sweet words.

Only for me to make payment and they disappeared. 9 months later they finally sent a surveyor who came , spent 2 minutes then left.

Another 5 months went by of my chasing for an update only to be told it was unsuccessful.

They sent me the contract stating it was never guaranteed in the first place even though they were aware I had already challenged the rates and both got refused on the same grounds.

They did nothing you or I can’t do.

Anyways I took it as lesson learnt. Always trust my guys moving forward.

Only to receive another email today , more than 2 years since they first took payment asking us for a possible revaluation in the hope this time around they will be successful.

Ooooo this new revaluation cost £1300 + vat.

Don’t contemplate it. You are better giving your money to charity than this scammers.

I am happy to upload all email correspondence and contract to a Google drive for everyone to make up their own mind along with cctv footage from when your surveyor attended. All 2 minutes from start to finish.

Lastly , 80% of their positive reviews are fake. In one day they received nearly 9 positive reviews, very very suspicious I must say !

Keep sending unsolicited spam. Would you trust a company like that?

Sadly there is insufficient time or text space to explain our experience. Utterly unprofessional, administratively incompetent, bold promises made, mis-selling accusation never investigated.... we could go on. The initial 'salesman' didn't even want to inspect the whole building, yet promised big savings! Thankfully the sorry saga is now over. I urge anyone considering this business to consider very carefully the unusually high volume of 1 star ratings. (Thanks for your reply - I stand by my comments and can support with evidence each and every one).

Companies that send unsolicited spam I'm going to rate 1 star from now on. Regardless of the services they offer. It's failing at the first hurdle as it's such a naff way to acquire new business.

Repeatedly spamming us, I imagine all the other reviews are fictitious. Check the recent google reviews, it says it all really.

Update: I click unsubscribe (which should really read - take me off your spam list as I'd never subscribe to this type of gutter industry), and they're still emailing me!!!

After many months of unending spam from this company, I wrote a review here. Because I had deleted the emails Trust Pilot took my review down. In the meantime I was contacted by Chris from Hampton Lovett who swore blind he would make sure my whole domain name was suppressed - what they had been doing was to just put random names as a prefix before the @ and so got past every attempt to unsubscribe.
For a short time the emails stopped, but today, lo and behold, there's yet another spamming email. This kind of thing HAS TO STOP.

I do not appreciate being sent to spam emails.
Do not use the contact form on my website to contact me to try and help me to use your business. If you're looking for business, create adverts on social media and pay money, then wait for people to contact you.
I have kept evidence of the email you sent me, so I can prove that this review is accurate! Also, I don't need to contact you as your website domain has been blocked! If anybody contacts me from your company again, I will seek legal action and sue you for harassment!
I will also not to email you. I shouldn't be in this place where I have to leave this review for you because you shouldn't be spamming people in the first place.

This company have been sending us unsolicited emails repeatedly for months.
Despite unsubscribing several times!!
Really fed up as they do not seem to take a hint.

I got talked into instructing Hampton Lovett which has proved to be a big hassle and expense for little reward.

Initially, I received a phone all stati that they believed I was overpaying on business rates compared to other local businesses in my area in similar premises. They arranged for an agent to come out to estimate the likelihood of submitting a successful case.

When the agent came, he strongly advised that we could reduce our rates bill by THOUSANDS, approximately £6-8000 per year.
Then came the high pressure to sign on the spot and arrange for payment up front to cover a surveyor. This was when red flags started to show, but the promises of savings that would be made were very convincing.

Within a few days paperwork was received and payment was sent.

It took several weeks for any further updates. Several months later an 'initial' saving of £750 per year was made to my.busoness rates account. I was assured that this was a positive sign and that much larger savings would be made when the main appeal was submitted.

Several months later, with no contact from Hampton Lovett, and the only information provided to me was when I initiated contact, the main appeal was submitted.
This was quickly rejected by the VOA.
Despite the negative outcome, no-one from the firm reached out to explain the situation and I had to call up and speak to someone who frankly didn't have a clue what was going on.

Several months later and there have been no updates and no further contact whatsoever apart from a couple of unrelated letters.

Very disappointing service and I do believe I was missold the service based on false promises and exaggerated savings that Hampton Lovett would be able to obtain.

In total £750 per year has been saved (approx £375 after the business rates multiplier). It will take several years before this small saving pays for the initial expense that my business incurred.

I'd recommend avoiding thisncompany and take all 'promises' with a large pinch of salt.

If you engage these people, make sure you keep on at them, or they will do nothing. Once you've paid them, of course. Having heard nothing for weeks/months, I asked for an update on 7/9 and my appeal was submitted on 8/9....

We signed with them approx last September. Action is slow and they submitted our appeal at the very last moment even after being chased. We are now advised it could be 12 months before the VOA respond. A lot of time was lost through the process.
Maybe all will come good in the end, but from start to finish our process will possibly be close to 2 years. If the VOA respond sooner, then maybe it will be about 18 months from start to finish. Just be aware before you sign, that you understand this can be a long process. When it was sold to us, it was made out to be a relatively simple process and we expected it to maybe take 6 or 9 months. Hopefully, we will see a return on the money we paid at the beginning at some point.
I will update my review once this is settled, good or bad.
