Our current tenancy with Hamptons is…

Our current tenancy with Hamptons is coming to an end soon and our property manager, April Keane, has been amazing throughout our 2-year tenancy. She’s extremely responsive and very helpful, we’ve never had a reason to worry. Any issues that arose (and these were quite minimal), April was our first point of call and got it sorted for us efficiently.

Fabulous service

The staff in the Alton branch, particularly Adam Masters, went above and beyond to get a long winded and complicated sale over the line. Adam is professional, calm and supportive. I have used Hamptons three times now and would wholeheartedly recommend the Alton office.

Hampton has been my letting agent for…

Hampton has been my letting agent for many years. Recently I have been contracted with Hamptons again as I move out of my flat. Monika has been assigned to be my property manager since 2022 and I find her great in her job. She is personal, attentive and approachable professional. Despite I may have some difficult ask, she can handle them well. I have been sticking to Hamptons so far partly because of her and I know I can trust her to take care of my property appropriately.

Hamptons Canary Wharf office team

Hamptons Canary Wharf office have let and managed my property for the last few years and have never let me down. Laura and her team are hard working and always on hand with professional advice and assistance. My property manager, Charlie has been brilliant, always proactive and understanding and finding the best solution for myself and my tenants.
They are my ‘go to’ agent and I highly recommend!

My experience as a tenant with Hamptons has been truly outstanding, and I want to give special recognition to Lexie (Alexandra Lancaster) for the exceptional way she manages everything.

From day one, the level of ease, efficiency, and professionalism shown by Lexie and her team has been remarkable. Communication is always clear, timely, and proactive. Any questions or issues are handled with genuine care and swift follow‑up, and there is always complete follow‑through - nothing is ever left hanging or unclear.

As a tenant, it makes an incredible difference to feel truly taken care of. Every interaction has been positive, respectful, and supportive, which is something I value enormously. At the same time, it’s obvious that the property itself is in excellent hands from a landlord’s perspective too - the attention to detail and standard of management reflects a team that looks after everyone involved.

This has been such a welcome change after dealing with a previous agency’s property manager, where communication and responsiveness were constant frustrations. The contrast with Hamptons is night and day.

Lexie’s dedication, professionalism, and warm, human approach have made this experience feel effortless and genuinely reassuring.

It’s rare to find a property manager who is this reliable, engaged, and committed to building and maintaining a great relationship throughout the tenancy. I cannot recommend Lexie and the Hamptons team highly enough.

They have absolutely set a new standard for what excellent property management should be.

Property Mgt delivery

We use Hamptons in Canary Wharf to help us manage a property. Charlie from the team is our day to day manager who ensures that we are kept up to date with anything that might be needed to help maintain both our property and the satisfaction of our tenant. She does a wonderful, professional job and always delivers on what we agree. Thanks Charlie.

​I am currently renting a flat through Ashraf Danish at Hampton, and I cannot recommend his services highly enough. From the very beginning of the leasing process to my day-to-day experience as a tenant, Ashraf has been professional, proactive, and incredibly helpful. Ashraf is always easy to reach and responds to inquiries promptly. I’m never left wondering about the status of a request. Any minor issues with the property have been handled with efficiency. He ensures that maintenance is sorted quickly and with minimal disruption.

Do not let Hamptons manage your property

Do not let Hamptons manage your property. Problems are too many to include in detail but in summary. Hamptons claim to have competent staff and contractors at their disposal to deal with maintenance issues. In reality if the tenant reports a fault they will send quotes for ludicrous amounts of money. When overseas I had no choice and had to let them do the work. Examples : £1100 to replace some heating elements and light bulbs in an oven. New cost today of the same oven £1000. They also quoted nearly £3000 for complete replacement. Tidying the garden £1100. When I asked for a break down of the costs they couldn't supply. My son cut the grass and tidied up for £100 and they agreed it was good enough for tenants to move in. Patching holes in the wall made by tenants (screw holes for pictures). £75 for each hole. (there were 6.) Tenant had that deducted from their deposit?. Latest disaster. I was quoted £450+VAT to relay some tiles in an en suite bathroom. I highlighted they would need to use adhesive and re grout. Job was done and tenant has shown me a partially re grouted floor. Tiles are still lose and old grout is coming out. I have reported the job wasn't done properly and provided proof via photos. Hamptons say the contractor says the tenant must have damaged the floor after they left. Pictures were from same day job was done. They have offered to re visit and have another go for you guessed it £450+VAT
Their worst effort to date was re painting some roof A frame timbers. It was quoted at £3800 but I was promised a good job and agreed while overseas. On returning to UK found my A Frame Apex paint is peeling and needs doing again (2 years later). I asked for proof the job was done and have been given a copy of a paid invoice. So if you use Hamptons for management assume 10-20% per year minimum of the rent will go in ludicrous overpriced maintenance. Now in the UK I will be ending the management contracts as soon as possible in the interim I am having to do my own work whilst paying them to manage.
Just today they asked if I can agree £300 for gas cert and portable appliance checks (there are none but according to Hamptons I still have to pay for a cert). I sent a copy of a quote for £150 for the same scope and they told me I could organise myself if I didn't want to use their preferred contractor. Incredible.
