I’ve always wanted to do something in…
I’ve always wanted to do something in communications and just recently I had a switch in careers from driving Lyft to EMT wildland Fire Fighter. Upon researching how to become a firefighter, I came across ham radio certification license. And I have nothing but great things to say about this program. I am a visual person and the course provides video and text with all the ham radio specific questions and answers. This is hands-down the best online course available for all 3 HAM radio licenses. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Ya never know...
Being brand new to this kind of interaction at 64, I'm just taking it all in. Numbers, jargon, electrical theory, protocals and the like. Your approach seems to suit me just fine, although, it already looks like I won't even bother with attempting the general license as I won't need that expansion however, ya never know. Actually, the ONLY reason I'm here is to provide me with some coms between me and the rest of the world in the event of a CME or a nuke detonated above so I can talk to someone, somewhere and get info.

This course was such a great experience! I purchased a Technician License book and tried doing it on my own about six months ago and quickly got lost in the details and gave up. I saw an ad for this app and decided to try it out. The way the instructor describes real-life and relatable scenarios along with his cadence that kept grabbing my attention is something I wish I’d experienced back in college. It was pleasant and engaging. The blue words made the important pieces stick out to me as important, and the practice tests after each lesson really helped me understand WHY I got an answer wrong, thanks to the explanation portion, so I rarely missed them in the future. I look forward to earning my next license through this platform and highly encourage anyone thinking of going for this license to purchase this course.In my case, I simply wanted to acquire a skill for emergency preparedness but quickly discovered a network of like-minded individuals who have shed light on the many other ways that ham radio keeps us connected, especially on a social level. Give it a go!

It’s been a great way to study for my General Exam
Have been using the app to study for my test and really like how the course is laid out with 1st the video and then the video is transcribed so you can read it again and the take a quiz each segment is short so not a lot of material is thrown at you at one time.

Far too little explanation of what is…
Far too little explanation of what is going on. I expect I will be able to pass the test after I go through the modules, but I will have little real understanding of the basics of Ham Radio. There are modules lost in tech words and I can memorize the right answers, but I will have poor understanding of what really is going on.
