This course fits my lifestyle...
I am 78 years of age and at times items I have memorized material that doesn't come as quickly as I would like. This course is designed with me in mind. Text, video, quizzes, I find it perfect for what I need, with an understanding of the material behind it. No time limit which will give me the time I need to finish the course and earn my Amateur Extra License. Thank you.

Great for all Amateur Radio Operators!
Ham Radio Prep did a fantastic job preparing me to pass my technician class license for the FCC. I passed with a 100% after studying for only a couple of weeks. There are courses for all three levels of licensure: technician, general, and amateur extra. In addition, Ham Radio Prep offers classes on space and satellite operations, emergency communications, and HF modes. The classes are very informative and are a great mix of video, text, and multimedia for learning abilities of all types. I highly recommend this training to any new ham or seasoned operator looking to hone their knowledge and skills.

Good program - passed Technical
Study material was perfect for the technical exam. Told me what I needed to know and gave me a chance to understand the theories as I enter into this hobby.

Ham Radio lessons made easy(er).
So far it does exactly what I was looking for. A verbal lesson, followed by the written content, followed by a quiz, and follow up on wrong answers. So you learn by taking in the information in different ways. I wish we had this when I was a kid trying to pass my general license and never able to! Starting over again and loving it!

The best instruction!
The video portion added another layer to the ease of instruction. The quizzes at the end of each lesson were great stepping stones to the final test. Now that I have my Technicians license, I’ve enrolled in the General license course!

Much is very complicated and he just reads as if it’s easy to understand but some is very difficult! I need to understand it before I can remember it for the test .

Great Intro to the World of Ham Radio

Great expert, greater mission!
Nothing but a great experience so far. I was recently gifted a little Baofeng radio from a family member and was encouraged to get my technician license. Those first several lessons in the Ham Radio Prep app were clear as could be and seem to prepare you well for the exam. I'm a busy working college student with a growing family, so I appreciate that the lessons are broken up into modules that can be read or watched in brief sessions. I also really love the mission of Ham Radio Prep and their willingness to help anyone with the desire to be prepared and get educated!

80 yrs old with dyslexia
I am an 80 yr old with dyslexia and this program is a great experience and I feel I will have no problem with my exam because of this program. I recommend it to anyone who has dyslexia .

Great Videos + Practice Tests = I'm a Technician!
I chose your site because I really enjoy learning through videos, and the written documentation was incredibly helpful. It made it easy to review topics quickly without scrubbing through the videos again. The practice tests were super useful, too. I recommend taking as many as you can, and if there’s a gap between finishing the course and taking the exam, do a few more practice tests to brush up. I took my Technician exam on 11/18/25 and only missed one question.
