Rodney Perkins and Nella Johnson were onboarded with Hancock Ghostwriters on March 10th, 2022. She had discussed getting her book proofread and agreed to pay $816.00 with an added complimentary book cover design which was a gesture from Hancock to welcome Nella Johnson to the family. As soon as Nella made the payment she was assigned a project manager. He tried calling the client to welcome them and get more information about the project and hopefully discuss a timeline. As soon as the writers started working on the book, they were met with poorly written text which was in no shape or form ready to be proofread. We told the client that she needs editing not proofreading, so as a sign of good faith, Project Manager asked the writers to do both things for the first chapter, he believed that would make it immensely easy for the client to understand the kind of work that their text needs and what they have hired someone for. Upon receiving this information, the client wanted to proceed with what they paid for, and clearly indicated through mail that she wants the service that she paid for. The client although, after asking for time to think about it and how much would be editing the book cost, came back with the reply above. There is still no indication of dissatisfaction or any distaste. Since it was a matter of budget and the client was adamant on following through on a service that they do not really need and have signed up for Project Manager offered to reduce company profits and balancing the payment made for proofreading for the editing. All of that acted as a discount and brought down the price of editing from $5000 to $4000. The client refused to proceed with the editing and continued to demand a proofread version of the manuscript and the book cover. Nella and Rodney – The clients then asked for some clarity on the ‘red marks’ that were in the manuscript that was delivered to them. Our Project Manager pointed out that the red marks are there for them to see where the changes have been made and once the manuscript is completely edited, the red marks will be gone it’s called track changes. The client, even after getting clarity, has used a feature of Microsoft Word to defame Hancock Ghostwriters. The first few samples of the complimentary book covers were also delivered to the client, but Hancock Ghostwriters did not hear back from them. Project Manager ended up texting the client because of the delay. The client was unavailable for more than a week due to personal reasons. The delay was later on (in the review) blamed on Hancock Ghostwriters as well. After posting the review on BBB the client was given clarity yet again on the red markings and as the manuscript was final, a version of the manuscript without the red marks was delivered too. The above email also shows, the lack of communication the client showed while dealing with Hancock Ghostwriters. Even after posting the review the client is demanding work and Hancock Ghostwriters has shown them absolutely no reluctancy, we have a “100% satisfaction through unlimited revisions” policy, and we are still working for Nella and Rodney the same way we were before the undeserved defaming review they posted. It can be very clearly seen that Hancock Ghostwriters has displayed nothing but utter professionalism throughout the whole period of our contract with Nella Johnson and Rodney Perkins. The client further wanted us to edit the book for free or refund the money she knew she will not win the case that’s why she started blackmailing us because we have a really good track record on both BBB and Trust pilot and also wanted us to write the acknowledgment, free of cost, we have employees that needs to be paid it’s really unfair for us why should we offer something for free? And that to at a time where the economic situation is bad and COVID is coming back then the client asked her husband to convince us to work for free, I have all the proofs of the client conversation and this needs to be solved asap.
