I had booked removal with another firm (Simpsons) and was surprised a different firm (Handyboys) arrived.
Handyboys arrived early and the move was completed in the allocated 5 hours.
Dealing with another firm via Handboys was a little stressful especially as Simpsons insisted payment was made before unloading. Credit card payment could not be accepted so needed to travel to the bank to obtain cash. Think receipts need to be issued for large cash payments.

I called Handyboys at 7am on a Saturday - needing a van for 9.30am the same day. They came through for me and went above and beyond. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Words Can not describe the feeling of happiness I've been given today by the service I 1st received from receptionist lady Christine, after I had to send my original van man packing due to their incompetence.... I spoke to Christine needed urgently 2 men and a van she was as cool as a cucumber said I have some one on the way . Then Jason and an accomplice turns up and pow The A. TEAM has arrived they took proper care of my items from storage took em home safely and very polite guys .I would recommend them all day everyday handy Boys handy men handy game changers their the best 👌🏾

I used Handyboys to move house. They were very responsive over text and managed to get me booked quickly as well as offering me student discount which I didn't know I could get. They arrived on time and were extremely helpful in loading and unloading the van. I'd definitely recommend for London moves!

Avoid these people.

I booked for 1 man and a van with £30 deposit 3 weeks in advance just to stay on the safe side. All process through the website with a summary and recipe that I received via email.
No updates, or nothing the week or day before my moving date. Good.

On the day of the moving I presupposed to receive someone with a van at 11am, however at 11.15 I decided to give a call just for a check. I shared my booking number with the person on the phone, that confirmed my booking and asked me to wait for a second call for an update.
At 11.55 no call yet, so I decided to call again but this time no one answered me on the phone (home number). I called the mobile number where a person a bit confused and with clear no answers tell me that the office is closed (Monday) and he has issues to reach out to the office, offering me as the first option refound, someone spear at 3 pm (maybe) or ask a third party agency.
Since they didn't call me in 3 weeks for an update or had at least a common sens for a call on the same day about a delay, I had to leave my flat that day. I lost my trust in them and I decided to take a refund (that I'm still waiting for) and find a professional company.
it could be a good experience but def lack organisation and professionalism.

People plan this, by taking time off at work, scheduling also other appointments on the same day and it's not cheap.

Anyway, after 2 weeks from the booking, they never gave my refund.

Terrible experience and not recommended at all! I booked 3 weeks in advance and paid them a £30 deposit and on the day of the moving they didn't show up at all. I had to call them 3 times to understand what was going on. When I finally got to talk to them, they said they had no idea what was going on and offered me to cancel apologising for the inconvenience. Guess what? I'm STILL AWAITING for my DEPOSIT REFUND back yet, nearly 2 WEEKS AFTER! Totally unacceptable service!!! I'll keep on contacting you until you refund my money, that's the minimum expectation!

I booked them 6 weeks in advance, paid my £30 deposit and everything was confirmed. On the day of moving no one turned up and no one answered their phone. When I tried to call the number it went through to a Pakistani answering machine. I had a big panic and had to hire a van and ask neighbors to help me load it.

The next day I spoke to someone who apologised and told me I would receive a refund within 3 days. That was 10 days ago and still no refund. I’ll update you if I receive it back and it was a genuine error on their part.

UPDATE: After 2 months I received my refund. Far too long but at least they got there in the end. Not a scam, just badly run.

I have moved plenty of houses during my life with several different companies, but it had always cost me more as they are always reckless and never caring for your belongings. However i never had an issue with handyboys, They came and reviewed my belongings and they asked which items are fragile and what stuff needs to be taken carefully. I was really impressed by there work and how amazing there services are, would highly recommend. Thank you soo much.

I saw the ad on Gumtree I immediately contacted them, they were really quick to respond, which is really hard now days as ive tried other removal companies and have waited for months. They asked me few details such as where im currently living, where im going to be moving, how many bedrooms and a rough estimate of boxes and furniture the usual details, I was able to get a really quick and an amazing quote price which i accepted and booked it without any issues. They managed to book me in within the same week, really hard working guys and im really pleased with the service. I would highly recommend, its reliable cheaper and efficient. Once again thank you 😊
