I signed a contract with Handyman Connection Vancouver in February 2022 and it turned into the worst experience ever. I called the office with concerns about the work being done and things went downhill from there. They refused to come and inspect the work. The workman damaged a baseboard heater and laminate flooring. He didn't put up any tarps so there was drywall dust throughout the house. Some spindles also went missing. I wish I could post the pictures of the work here as well as the Better Business Bureau complaint. The company wanted me to pay the balance owing before they would agree to send another workman to fix and complete the job. Phone calls and emails went on for months. But this point all trust was lost. Besides I already had a valid, legal contract with them. The company was unprofessional, disrespectful and dismissive. I can't detail everything in this short review, but it was the worst experience ever and I lost money.

Absolutely terrible and dishonest. I had them look at my electric sliding fence. I was told by "Stan" that the circuit board was bad. I asked him how much he would charge to install a new unit if I purchased it. He told me $300.00. He arrived at 11.30 and was gone 2 hours to get "materials" . He spent most of his time talking and the phone and smoking cigarettes. At 5.45 he walks into my office and says that I need a chain extension and he was finished. I was stunned when he handed me a bill for $1495.00. and said that it would be $375.00 more for him to come back and finish the job. During the entire time he was there he never said that it would be 6 times what he told me. He told me after the fact that he charged $125.00 a hour and he was there 7 hours (he charged me $125.00 a hour to go get materials). He said that $595.00 of it was materials. I called their office the next morning and the office manager sent me a receipt from Lowes for materials. The items that he actually used on my project totaled $137.00. The rest of charge was tools for him (A ratchet wrench set, drill bit set, a accessory for his Dewalt tool etc...) The owner called me and said that "you know how it is in business" and he removed most of the tool cost. He said that they would come back Monday and finish the job. He said that he would cut the $375.00 cost in half. I never heard another word from them. When I read the instructions to finish the job myself I was shocked to see that they didn't even install the lower half of the unit that holds the rollers. I sent a picture of the installation to the manufacturer and they told me that it completely wrong and that I would have zero warranty if I operated it that way. I have to take it all apart and start from scratch. This was the worst experience I have ever had with another business. We are in the process of suing them. Find somebody else.

Brian and Bryson manages the office, I believe:) Assumption. Brian is a top notch in this town for Handyman Connection. Brian is genuine, honest and he knows the job also...Only there is no miltiiary discounts:)
Yesterday we had a great experience with Sterling carlton. Sterling was punctual and he did come on time on a Saturday. He was sharp, Prior to his coming, he also informed, he is on the way. He knew his job well and he also advised on few things about some new projects, which we can give to Brian and his company. Sterling is a nice person, most knowledgeable in Brian's Organization, he knows the job well. Please pass on my sincere thanks to him for the good job done on February 10th 2024 - Saturday..

I absolutely love these guys.

They helped me when I couldn't get help from anyone else. They finished the project on time and it looks totally fantastic. I highly recommend!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

Handyman Connection intentionally ripped me off. They started out at a ridiculous amount per hour for a Handyman Service - then almost doubled the hourly rate when they found out I schedule a concrete truck, so it was critical their Handyman was on-site on a specific date.

THEIR SERVICE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I paid over 6k and one of their handyman contractors only show up half the time. When he actually showed up - he was an hour late and left two hours early?

Handyman Connection displayed unacceptable behavior and the Owner Docia intentionally raised the Handyman rate over 50% when she realized the Handyman was critically needed on-site on a specific date for a concrete pour.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I recently used Handyman Connection to assemble a Gazebo in my back yard. I couldn't be more pleased with their service. They were professional, curtious, and organzied. From the initial phone call to the end of the job everyone was very friendly and trustworthy. I will use them again.
