Recently had dealings with Amy about an order I had tried to put through to take advantage of 25% off multi strain biotic but things went wrong my end and then next day the deal had finished. Amy kindly honoured the deal and refunded the difference of my order. Great customer service.

Can't praise this company enough

Can't praise this company enough. I've been ordering skin care products, their multi-biotic and several of their juice cleanses for the past few years.

I placed an order last week and they accidentally missed an item off. I emailed and got a response immediately. They looked into it straight away and are sending me the missing item.

I dealt with Cat. The customer service is really excellent. They really are a brilliant company to engage with.

Helped massively (when all hope was lost😢)

I’ve recently binned all my old skincare/hair products as I kept getting breakouts. I got recommended this to use and within a week there’s been a substantial improvement in the affected areas. Also started taking the biotic too; so far the products have massively helped my rosacea and acne.
Glad to finally find a brand that doesn’t have mad chemicals in that takes the body into consideration…
Will keep using for the foreseeable :)

Multi strain probiotic

This review is based solely on the customer service experience, as I have not used the product long enough to comment on its effectiveness. I’ve been taking the multi-strain probiotic for less than two weeks, specifically for eczema, so it’s still too early to determine if it’s working. That said, I do like the taste and have noticed less bloating since starting it.

I did encounter an issue with the delivery: DHL notified me that my package was rescheduled because I wasn't home at the time of delivery, even though I was home and also had signed an agreement to leave the package at my front door. However, after checking my security cameras, I saw no sign of DHL anywhere near my premises. I reached out to Hanna Sillitoe, and Catherine was incredibly helpful. She reassured me that I would receive my package and took the initiative to contact DHL on my behalf. The following day, she updated me on the status of my package and answered all my questions thoroughly.

Thank you, Catherine, for your excellent customer service! I will update my review with a product rating after finishing my third bottle.

Update: I’ve now completed my third bottle of using this product, and unfortunately, it didn’t help with my eczema at all. I understand it might work for some people, but it wasn’t effective for me. At least I gave it a try, hoping to find something that would help with my ongoing eczema. I would still keep the 5-star rating for customer service but not for the product itself since it was not effective for me.

Doesn’t work for me

I’m currently on my 4th bottle of pro biotic, it’s made absolutely 0 difference to my skin and I don’t feel any different either. I gave it a long enough run to see if it would work because I struggle with my skin and this was worth a try especially if it does good for the gut too but it’s been a waste of time and money in my opinion.

I suffered quite badly with hormonal breakouts and Hanna Sillitoe Skincare has been a real game changer for me. The cleanser is by far the best one I have used yet (and I have tried many super expensive brands) this one wins. I also love that the skincare range is all natural with no nasty chemicals. The biotic caused me acid reflux which I don't usually get, I persevered and it made no difference to my skin. I unfortunately subscribed so will have to pay for another 2 bottles which aren't cheap and pour them down the sink, a waste of money for me but may work for some

Slow delivery time

Ordered my first product on 24th October on a 48hr dispatch…. I’m still
Waiting for it! I chased and to be fair they did respond quite quickly to say there had been a delay & it was supposed to be being dispatched yesterday but still no progress on the tracking. I just wish if there was a delay that the customer service would be proactive & explain this rather than waiting for me to chase & then actually dispatch when they said they were going to! It doesn’t give me faith in ordering any further products at this stage I have to say….. hoping the product is worth waiting for! 🙏🙏

Disappointed

I love the premise of HS but I’m feeling underwhelmed :-(

- Moisturiser leaves my skin feeling tight and dry after use even though the texture looks thick and creamy. My skin doesn’t feel healthy or nourished after
- Face wash has the texture of liquid vaseline then turns into a watery texture once wet. My skin simply doesn’t feel clean after use
- Face serum/oil feels nice on my skin upon application, but not as rich as other natural oils. I’ve not noticed the benefits of this compared to other oils
- I feel comforted to use a skin-kind product but I’m still experiencing issues with my skin
- The delivery packaging was unnecessary as lots of cardboard (more than needed for product protection) and pretty boxes encase the already pretty bottles and jars which ended up straight in the bin

HS is vegan and UK based which is a huge plus :-)

I’m sure it works for some people, and they enjoy the texture of the product and how it makes their skin feel after, but I’m sadly not one of them. I really wanted to like this skincare range but it personally failed for me overall. Sorry.

I appreciate skincare is a very personal consideration and I'm sorry to hear our products did not suit your skin type.

I personally love the Cleanser, which goes on as a gel and washes off as a milk. It's designed to leave skin feeling, clean, nourished and hydrated without drying and tightening like soaps do. It scores incredibly highly on the yuka app thanks to it's gentle ingredients and we receive lovely feedback from customers who have previously struggled using facial cleansers.

Our Serums are designed to be nourishing yet non greasy. They work really well under our Vit D Cream if skin needs extra hydration.

In terms of our packaging .. I have invested a great deal of time in sourcing options that work most sustainably for us. Since we bottle in amber glass, the products require protection in transit. We have a zero plastic packaging policy, so we package in simple, but beautiful, strong cardboard tubes. These are ideal for protection, but certainly not 'more than needed'. We've tried alternatives but the increased % in breakages is not something that works for us nor for our customers. The tubes can be reused for storing children's toys, pots for pens and colouring crayons, pretty craft decorations, seedling starter pots in the garden and so much more. Or simply popped in the cardboard recycling.

I'm sorry you feel failed by my range and hope you find something that better suits your skin type.

Be aware of the scam

Be aware of the scam. When you buy one bottle of the probiotic you are signing for 3 bottles subscription and they won’t cancel it even if you explain you didn’t know. So you are forced to pay for the 3 bottles!

Mixed experience

I have had a history or serious eczema and hospitalisations with it, so I am always looking for new products that might help. Hanna Sillitoe is selling itself as all natural products, but when the selection of oils and the anti-itch spray arrived they all smelt of the same horrible masking fragrance. Really off-putting if you have avoided scents, and also personally irritating to my skin. So even if the oils are good quality (it's difficult to tell) they end up seeming poor because of the blanket fragrance that I found so unpleasant that I had to stop using. Over a hundred pounds wasted. The one product that I would recommend is the probiotic drink with aloe. I can't say for sure how it's helped but it seems very fresh and full of good ingredients and I continue with it.

This was a completely new experience…

This was a completely new experience for me. I admire honesty and commitment in supporting customers. I’ve started using biotic only couple of months ago due to horrible condition of my skin. Unfortunately with my third order they have recalled my batch. I was contacted promptly and replacement was sent instantly. At the back of this communication I have asked for advice on subscription set up as I wanted to receive other product on every other delivery instead of monthly. Amy not only sorted this for me on the spot she actually sent me a complementary FOC Chia cream I found helpful in combo with biotic. It’s very rear these days to actually be able to have a real human being managing customer care instead of bots and company going above and beyond to help their customers is a whole new level. As for products themselves, I have had a huge outbreak of my psoriasis that was affecting not only my looks but mental health as well. I have been exploring lots of different products and came across this website and decided to try. After couple of months I have noticed no more new patches appearing but also existing ones fading and getting smaller. There is still a long way to go but so far biotic and chia cream combo definitely helps in regaining control over my skin. Thank you so much for your help and support in this battle!
