Happy Drains were great from the initial booking to carrying out the job. Sam came out to us and completed the job to a high standard and was very respectful to our property. He is a credit to the company, we would definitely have no problem reccomending the company.

absolutely appalled at the service offered by Happy Drains. As an amputee I am very restricted to the use of our toilet. I contacted HD on Sunday asking for urgent help and by late Monday have been badly let down by their service and am now obliged to find another company as they on numerous occasions were not even prepared to call back after promising to do so. Will never recommend them or support CheckaTrader in the future.

The service was great the guy was on time also very nice as I inadvertently covered my manhole cover with decking which he helped me with that was much appreciated. The blockage then was cleared and tested. I would definitely recommend it's so nice and refreshing to have such a great experience. Well done Happy Drains.

I received a message that said the following:

“Most of the time blockages are simple to resolve. However, if it is a little more serious, rest assured we have all the required skills that are needed to make the problem disappear, without any fuss!

NO additional time charges plus our price includes mechanical/jetting equipment:…”

This case was a little more serious, was just told they don’t have the equipment and were unwilling to do anything more than the basics with their equipment. Very disappointing and still have the blockage - them trying to remove a little hair did nothing to help the situation. Only ok to use for simple jobs.

We needed our drains serviced, so contacted Happy Drains. The team kept me well informed on timings, and when Jordan arrived he completed the job quickly and efficiently, leaving everything clean and tidy afterwards. Happy Drains are a great company to deal with. I had a problem with a blocked drain ( my fault, drain rod ends lost in the gulley). Shawn provided an extremely courteous, proficient and expert service to sort the problem and retrieve the lost ends and clear the drain. Would highly recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff and simple to book a job. Tommy did a great job and removed your blockage promptly and provided really useful advice. Great value with a fixed price. I would highly recommend Happy Drains.

These guys are great! They respond quickly and do a great job at a fair price. The chap who arrived to clear our drain blockage was thorough and professional and persevered until the job was done properly. I have used the company twice now to clear a blocked drain and would recommend them highly.

I called Happy Drains for assistance with water backing up into my kitchen. I reported the symptoms as a “blocked sink”, which is all I could reasonably describe as a customer. However, the underlying cause was never properly diagnosed.

The attending engineer later wrote that he was “uncertain if other flats connect to this pipework,” yet the final report still stated the issue was internal to my flat. No CCTV investigation or tracing was carried out, despite this uncertainty. This left me with a conclusion that contradicted both the physical symptoms and the engineer’s own notes.

When I disputed the findings, my concerns about the incomplete assessment were not addressed. Instead, the company relied on my initial symptom description as if it were a technical diagnosis, which it wasn’t. As a consumer, I can only report what I see — it’s the engineer’s responsibility to establish the actual cause with reasonable care and skill.

Although I ultimately chose to pay the invoice to avoid prolonged stress, the experience left me without confidence in the accuracy of their assessment or the way my concerns were handled. I hope future customers receive a clearer and more thorough investigation than I did.

I booked them the day before, they gave me a 4 hour window. They did not come or even call, when I called and said that this unprofessional she literally said you can cancel and go with someone else.
So unprofessional! Im not letting them in my house.
Update after their reply : I wasn’t aggressive but I was firm that it was unprofessional as I called 1 hour before the window finished and called when it finished, so I was doing your job of reaching out. Offer a better service before victimizing yourself into saying the client was aggressive. The only thing that was bad on my day was your unprofessionalism when I sought your help to deal with my sink that flooded the kitchen.

Had a nasty blockage in our vertical internal soil stack last month, which I could not shift by aggressive plunging with drain unblocked from above, or vigorous ridding from the external manhole.
I contacted Happy Drains at 9.00am, where the receptionist was very helpful and very clear about their costs. Just before 11.00am Damien turned up as promised, having phoned me on the way to reassure me that he would be on time. He wasted no time looking at the problem and listening to me recount my efforts to date. He then unloaded all the equipment he needed, including a video camera system and a rotating chain mechanism on a flexible coil. In less than an hour he had cleared the stubborn blockage, checked the condition of the underground and soil pipes, removed a load of built-up scale and cleaned the pipes and manhole, at all times with a smile on his face and a very positive attitude. I would highly recommend both Damien and Happy Drains to anybody. Their costs are very reasonable and much less than the quotes received from the larger well-known companies. I will definitely use them again if the need arises. Thanks guys.
