The whole marina is tired and needs a lot more care.
The toilet block is grim – frequently blocked and dirty loos, rusty radiators and tiny shower cubicles.
Only every other light on the pontoons work which is not great on cold, icy winter days.
It’s like the kids have taken over and the grown-ups have let them play.
We’ve been here a couple of years now and whilst the setting is great, it’s let down by a lack of attention to detail.
Toilet and shower facilities are dreadful. Shower block is poorly maintained, overflowing bins and rusty radiators, often dirty and there are not enough of them. It’s not what you’d expect for a marina that thinks itself to be premium.
The team on site are invisible and when they are present can be rude and unhelpful, especially the marina manager.
No shop, no chandlery and nothing onsite unless you want to an over-priced sandwich from a van or to walk up to the golf club and get looked down on by the snooty golfers.
Even after asking us berth holders what we thought, Harleyford have done nothing to act on the feedback received.
