I had a breast augmentation…

I had a breast augmentation consultation with Layla. She was very knowledgable and gave me lots of information. She didn’t rush the appointment and even ran through the different surgeons with me and gave lots of info about the types of implants, risks and before and after pics. I left the appointment feeling happy with the service x

They tell lies to sell you the dream.....

I had a breast reduction with The Harley Medical Group in August 2021. The intial consultation was great and the Surgeon Ranjeet Jeevan put my mind at ease and we discussed at length my reduction and what I would like my desired cup size to be, I said ideally I want a B but no bigger than a C. Within the consultation Ranjeet told me how it would all work, about the procedure and the aftercare. He also made it clear if for any reason I was not happy with the desired outcome I could have revised surgery. Comes the day of the surgery and everything went fine I went home the next day and my 3 follow up consultations in Manchester to change my dressing's were fine. After 3 months I saw Ranjeet again and we discussed my outcome, I told him I knew I might still have swelling in parts but that I thought they were still quite big and not as small as I had wanted. He said yes they could still be swelled but they would not consider revision surgery anyway until after 12 months which I accepted I needed to fully heal and let the scaring go down before anything else. In this consultation we discussed at length about what could be done to revise my size even down to liposuction which I didnt want as that would have just made my breasts sag. Anyway its 12 months on and I book my consultation in Oct 2022 to see the surgeon again, (I think they hope you wont come back). I speak to Ranjeet and he says how good they look and how pleased he is with the outcome and am I happy?, I said I am happy with the surgery but not the outcome they are not as small as I wanted like I have said twice previously. Then he says ohhh well what we do here is the Harley Medical Group review board meet once a month to discuss revisions and I have to write off to them and they will make a decision if you can have the revision surgery and we will let you know. At this point I felt like I was being fobbed off and could sense the outcome before it had come. Anyway I wait 2 months after being told they would be in touch in approx. a month and come Dec 2022 I chase for the outcome, here it is as I expected. "Hi Jane, Thank you for your email. Apologies on the delay in response.
I have checked your file and following the DMG meeting they have provided an outcome.
Unfortunately, the DMG have declined the revision as they believe you have a decent result. They have advised that Liposuction could be an option, however, there would be a cost associated with this. I appreciate this is not the desired outcome.
Please let me know if you need anything else at this time." In other words they want more money and have gone back on everything that was said in the consultations. If only I had recorded what was said. Anyway please beware aware of this as I can see this has happened on numerous occasions looking back on reviews now, hence I wish I had read them beforehand. Dont be suckered in by the fabulous sales pitch. Also they are not the cheapest I went with them as they were recommended and in heinsight I should have done my homework. Dont bother replying Harley Group with your generic email of "get in touch you would like to help" as its just a bunch of rubbish, your not interested and you know it.

The worst experience ever - do not book Harley Medical Group

Oh my god. Where do I begin.

So the process of getting a nose job (rhinoplasty) to the average human being is a difficult one - there’s financial stress, there’s anxiety, there’s acceptance… not any of these issues or fears are considered by The Harley Medical Group. To them you are just a number on a spreadsheet which they will hopefully convert to a number in the bank.

I did a few quotes online with other companies and whilst Harley came out more expensive than MYA and others, I decided to book with them because of the assurance that I could have my post op recovery and check ups in Brighton, a city where I lived.

The whole build up to the operation started well enough. A lovely lady helped me and reassured me… until one day I find out she’s left her position. I understand these things happen, especially during COVID, but there was no passing of information and I had to jump through all the hoops with someone else.

My date for the surgery kept changing because of covid - again not their fault - but this added up to the stress for myself who suffers from anxiety and was contemplating taking it as a sign and not proceeding. Imagine my shock horror then when I was told the finance direct debit - which I was told would start after my operation - Was not moved like my surgery date was and I started paying hefty amounts before I even had the surgery. That pretty much confirmed I had to go through with the surgery despite being on the fence.

Another couple surgery dates came and went but finally I had one for April 2021 and thought to myself finally this is going to happen and I can get on with my life. A week before the operation, they called me to say the woman who is capable of doing the post op removal of swabs no longer works at Brighton and thus I can’t do my follow up appointments there - again, the sole reason why I went with Harley medical group.

So now I was having the operation in London and then the next morning had to somehow get someone to drive me to Southampton, the nearest clinic for the pads to be removed. I asked if for the trouble they’ve caused me if they would consider letting me stay in London and removing the pads the next day but they said they wouldn’t subsidise this additional cost despite this being their fault.

The operation itself went ok - George was my surgeon and he seemed nice enough although he does this so many times a day he didn’t really have much care for the patients. I wanted someone to show some more compassion because for us as a patient it’s a huge decision but when I met him to discuss how my nose should look he almost looked disinterested and bored.

I was also told that the after care is phenomenal, they will support me, any touch ups is free (within reason) and that I would have consultation and photos at 3 months, 6 months and a year.

That after care DOESNT exist AT ALL. One week later when again I had to go down to southampton for the second time to have my cast taken off, I had photos taken. That was the last I heard from Harley medical group.

No calls, no emails, no appointment requests. My nose hasn’t healed properly either with severe redness which I’ve had to pay myself to fix with IPL. I called Harley medical to see if they can cover this but it turns out they had a take over throughout the pandemic - god knows what they’re known as now - but they didn’t have access to my records. They didn’t even know I had a nose job with them. Unbelievable - you can’t even write this. So I’ve had to suffer with results I’m
Not happy with and try and fix them myself. Honestly from start to finish this was the worst experience I’ve had and I will always encourage everyone to look elsewhere - I know mistakes can happen but not this many on that magnitude. The fact that they’ve not even showed a single bit of remorse either is astonishing for an apparent market leader.

THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY& DISFIGURE YOU!

Had a rhinoplasty with them. The surgeon did not listen to my requirements and I did not get the desired look the way I wanted my nose to be. When I got back in touch with them they said the swelling will go down and my nose will look different, 9 months later when I got back in touch again they said there is nothing they can do because the surgeon who operated on me retired and they said I have body dysmorphia and they said I should just get over myself because the £5000 that I paid for it won’t be returned. They were very rude and told me to go away didn’t even offer me a solution. They are scam artists would avoid at all costs if you don’t want to be disfigured !!!!!!!! Most recently I’ve been experiencing breathing difficulties through my nose and am needing to go for another surgery that will cost me another £5000

Absolutely Thrilled!

From start to finish, I felt very well looked after by Harley Medical and Dr. Fasano. The clinics in Birmingham are lovely facilities and everyone I met there was great. This was particularly true of the surgical nurses at Kat&Co who were reassuring and calmed my frazzled nerves on the day of the surgery!

Dr. Fasano is a fantastic aesthetic doctor and body sculptor. I really felt that I was in safe hands with him! My results have been fantastic. I am only two months into my recovery currently, and I am already thrilled. It's given me the confidence back that I had in my early twenties and for that alone, I couldn't be happier. I wish I had had the surgery sooner!

I would recommend Dr. Fasano to anyone looking for a liposuction procedure.
Thank you Leo :)

Still no improvement when given every opportunity to rectify the situation.

So after chasing for yet again another response to my complaint I sent on 18 July 2022. Their response was received on 13 Sept 2022, but I initially raised my complaint in Feb 2022 (see previous posts for context); Harley Medical Group has stated my concerns will not be accepted into the formal company complaints process.

Basically saying they are not upholding my complaint or doing anything to rectify the situation.

Now I have been left with no other recourse but to go to the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service and Care Quality Commission but not before going to the press.

In short, as you can tell from my review and other people's reviews, don't waste your time or spend your money here.

I have spent years contacting Harley Medical Group and have been regularly ignored, dismissed and people saying they will get back to me, but they never do.

I have done everything to resolve this amicably and follow Harley Medical Group’s processes, even when Harley Medical Group admitted to failing to follow the complaints process properly themselves.

Please note that the people responding to the negative comments from Harley Medical Group are really downplaying the truth, and I would go as far as to say gaslighting people's experiences in their responses to those people complaining. They are only responding to be seen to be doing something and they edit their responses too; my complaint wasn't even acknowledged until I posted on Trustpilot.
After my last Trustpilot complaint, Harley Medical Group suggested I was posting about the wrong company. They've changed names so many times from Harley Medical Group to LCHMG Limited to Lasercare Clinics (Harrogate) Limited; I can't keep up.

Don’t waste your money - laser

Update: Following HMG response to this review I contacted them, as requested, and did not hear back. This demonstrates their customer service completely.

Please do not waste your money. The Harley Medical Group get by on their reputation which as you can see by the other reviews people are beginning to realise. The Harley Medical Group went into administration and they passed over their skin treatment and laser clients to sk:n.

While with the HMG I received 16 laser hair removal treatments to my back and shoulders, over a period of 32 months I saw almost no reduction. I would go as far to say that my treatments have been completely ineffective in many areas. I initially paid for a package of 8 treatments on 31st October 2017. At my consultation I was advised that on average it takes approximately 12 treatments for hair to be almost gone and I may need some ‘top up’ treatments in the future. The practitioner showed me her bare forearms and what I could expect from having the treatments. On the website it says ‘95% of the hair targeted by a course of Laser Hair Treatments is permanently removed’. I told the practitioners who performed my treatments that I didn’t mind the pain and that I just wanted the hair gone.

During the treatments to my back and shoulders, and unaware that I would later experience stimulated hair growth from the lasers, I paid for laser hair removal to my buttocks and perianal (23rd June 2018). Initially I experienced a very bad reaction to the treatments in the form of bumps and redness. I was unaware if it was due to ingrown hairs or irritation and after one treatment I communicated my concerns to Harley Street and sent pictures of the affected area to customer services. On 30th August 2018 I booked an appointment at Harley Street to show a lead practitioner where I was advised to buy a cream and continue having the treatments every 6 weeks. I was also told that it shouldn’t scar as I have pale skin, as this was a worry of mine. After my second treatment I decided that I wanted to wait for my skin to fully heal before having anymore treatments as once again I experienced irritation in the form of bumps and redness. I didn’t think that lasering red, irritated skin was sensible and on 30th October 2018 I spoke with a senior manager about extending my treatment time as it was due to expire in July 2019. On 12th January I booked another appointment with a practitioner to share my concerns. It wasn’t until after the fourth treatment to my buttocks that I tried not sitting down for the rest of the day, on the day that I had my treatment. I found that this made a massive difference and the area was far less affected. I am quite disappointed that with their years of experience, ‘dedication to detail’ and ‘expert care’ someone from the Harley Medical Group was not about to suggest this to me. I completed my 8 treatments on 25th August 2019 and decided against having anymore due to the problems that I experienced.

I completed the cycle of 8 treatments to my back and shoulders on 10th November 2018. I was extremely upset to find that the laser had stimulated hair growth, particularly to my shoulders. Upon contacting customer services the initial response from a representative was that I was at fault for not having my appointments every six weeks. However this was not the case. I had indeed had my appointments every six weeks but the advisor that I spoke with was checking the appointment dates of the laser treatments to my buttocks. I then visited Harley Street and was promised that if I continued to have treatments the hair would be gone. I said ‘like here’ showing the practitioner the underside of my forearm to which she replied yes.

Having had 16 treatments to my back and shoulders and spent £1839.40 on laser hair removal at the Harley Medical Group I am beyond unhappy at the results. Not only has this cost me a lot of money but also a great deal of time attending appointments over a period of 3.5 years. I chose to use the Harley Medical Group because I believed that I would get the very best treatment and results. Unfortunately I cannot say that I have received ‘expert care’, ‘exceptional results’ or a journey that is ‘as smooth as my results’. Nor would I agree that ‘95% of the hair targeted by a course of Laser Hair Treatments is permanently removed’.

I feel like I was scammed out of money

In 2019 I had a package and had left about 4 sessions for laser hair removal upper body. It was a few hundred pounds as I trust Harley Medical Group have always used them. The pandemic hit and I have been reluctant to risk any treatment until now. I have a relative that the slightest cold could weaken their immunity so I have been so careful as it could result in their death. It does seem a turning point now so I decided to call Harley Medical Group ask them if it were safe to resume my treatments. I get a call to say they received my message and my treatments were transferred to their sister company sk:n in Cardiff. Their sister company sk:n calls me and says yes we can see you have 4 treatments. I said when can I book them and they said we decided not to honour those. I said what do you mean and they reply well it was so long ago we are not honouring them. I said there has been a worldwide pandemic and I have had to be careful not to catch anything. They said well you should have read the terms and conditions we allowed an additional 12 months but not more than that. I said covid-19 has been around far greater than a 12 month. She cuts to the chase and said we are not honouring the treatments. Obviously I am greatly upset at the position they took as they took my money and kept it. It would mean nothing to them to honour my treatments they had the money. Hopefully Harley Medical Group head office can maybe do something. I will be happy to amend this review then but right now this is what happened and I think my reasons are very legitimate.

Breast Augmentation November 2021

In response to the other poor reviews about customer after care - I agree.

Having had breast augmentation 8 months ago the implants have slipped resulting in the ‘double bubble’ look.

The customer care post operative key from the HMG team including my surgeon has been very poor indeed;
Lacking in care
Lacking in concern
Miserable looking staff that dont look happy in their job and clearly don’t see after care as necessary or important.
Contradicting communication regarding the closure of the clinics closest to me and appointment availability.

My surgeon has zero bedside manner and apparently it’s my fault the implants have slipped because my skin is too old and saggy! Surely this should have been part of his pre surgery assessment and should have advised smaller implants based on this factor??

I am now awaiting revision surgery and I have zero faith that this will be a success as the surgeon says he’s only done a handful of revisions! I’m very worried I’ll be left with unsightly scarring and uglier breasts then when I started.

I would not recommend HMG to anyone.
Once they have your money your nothing to them.

I had a tummy tuck with liposuction off…

I had a tummy tuck with liposuction off this company. When seeking a revision I was told it would take place but not to sign just yet. Then I got told he left the company and wasn’t a answering them. Then I got told the company was getting took over and was only talking on their new patients not post op. I have been left with a major scar that’s not straight and one side is bigger then the other on my hips. I am so self conscious and feel disfigured I am going to have to pay to get this fixed. Bad aftercare botched surgery stay away!!

Positive experince of Vaser Lipo

I had a very positive experience with Dr Leonardo Fasano at Harley Medical group. I have waited till a few months post procedure to write a review because I wanted to see how things healed.

I had my surgery in Feb 22 for a vaser lipo procedure under my chin. I was quite self conscious about the fat there and it had been bothering me for years. I found all the staff to be extremely friendly and supportive and were able to answer all my questions.

The consultations with Dr Fasano were very relaxed and I felt sure straight away after the first consultation that I wanted to go ahead. I was reassured that the area being treated was very straightforward and there would not be a need for much downtime. I was also advised that it would not be very painful afterwards. All of this turned out to be true despite my worries about it the whole thing was over with very quickly. My only complaint would be that the bandages were sticky and very difficult to remove as they were attached to my hair. But this was a minor problem really.

I was quite anxious when i initially saw my neck as it was lumpy and some strange lines appeared that i couldn't identify, however i followed the advice given to wear the compression garment consistently. I also contacted a nurse who was able to reassure me that things were likely just healing but that Dr Leonardo Fasano had reviewed photos and did not feel concerned he needed to see me sooner than planned. I then had my 6 week follow up with Dr Leonardo, and he explaned more about the scar tissue and that it would continue to heal. This appointment was very reassuring and I felt much better having had it checked. The healing has continued and the lumps have almost totally disappeared.

Im really glad I had this done as it was such a straightforward procedure and makes so much difference to me, im so much happier with my profile now. I would reccomend Dr Leonardo highly for this treatment.

Florence Nightingale’s grandaughter

I had a breast reduction and was quite nervous and a little scared on my 1st visit after the surgery which was 7 days later to get my dressing changed. The Nurse Jazzmeen started to remove the dressing and I was thinking omg at any point now it is going to pull and hurt, but she was extremely gentle and soft that I was quickly rest assured that I was in the best possible hands ever. I only ever wanted to see her as she is so amazing, genuine and caring. The best nurse I have ever come across in my life and I’ve come across a few. She truly is an asset to the company and most definitely should be valued and looked after by Harley Med as it’s not everyday you have a million dollar member of staff that puts everything they have into their work and it shows in her level of care and attention. I feel extremely blessed to have experienced her as my nurse, there’s not enough stars on this review to rate her level of competency

Left with disfigured body, ignored and my corrective surgery was eventually denied despite confirming it was needed

I booked with Harley with the confidence and understanding that they would care for me, and if there was any issues they would be resolved. I have spent £8000 to be left with giant lumps of fat on my hips that stick out even when I wear Spanx and are visible in every article of clothing, and have a disgusting fold/tuck of skin into the scar on my stomach area.

I regret choosing Harley and having the surgery with them. I suffer severe depression from the way my body looks now, therapy hasn’t helped and there is no way I can afford to correct their mutilation myself. I trusted that any issues would be resolved and paid extra for that understanding (I had cheaper quotes elsewhere for the surgery, but less time given to correct issues if needed).

Please save yourself the trauma and choose a respectable company that stays in contact and sticks to their T&C’s rather than dissolving/reforming to avoid the repercussions of their actions.

Background:
I had abdominoplasty surgery in April 2018. The care received was good, however despite being assured I would not need drains, when I woke up there was drains in.
During my follow up appointment, I was told my scar was neat however no mention was made of the fact an area of skin had been pulled into the stitches leaving me with a large unsightly fold in my stomach (picture a large pleat on a dress) and 2 large what is referred to as ‘dog ears’.
Dog ears were explained to me before the surgery and I was told they would be covered by the free corrective surgery that was written into the terms if they occurred.

Unfortunately my mother passed away unexpectedly during my healing, and as one can expect, I did not push for a follow up appointment and Harley did not reach out regarding follow up checks or appointments. I then fell pregnant and spent my pregnancy trying to hide the disgusting lumps on my hips from the dog ears and giant fold of skin below my belly button. After I gave birth, an appointment to discuss the corrective surgery was scheduled and the consultant confirmed the need for corrective surgery in February 2020 (within the 2 year limit given) on the basis that I contact them in 6 months so ‘I could lose the baby weight’ (I only had 10lbs to lose when I saw them at 2 months post partum in February).

Of course, COVID hit us in March 2020 and from there on I received no response. I chased via phone and email for nearly a year and was constantly brushed aside, promised to receive call backs/email responses and heard nothing back from them.
I fell pregnant with my final child in January 2021 and yet again spent the entire pregnancy hiding the lumps on my hips. I restarted my calls and emails until I FINALLY received a letter informing me that because the company dissolved, I would need to pay for the corrective surgery.

I will be contacting the CQC, and filing formal complaints.

The consultation was OK although lots…

The consultation was OK although lots of technical problems, not sure video was necessary, audio would’ve been fine.

The reason for the rating is that the website is misleading. The website seems to imply there is a Birmingham clinic and that all subsequent face to face sessions will be carried out in Birmingham, however the surgeons are based in other places. To avoid wasting everyone’s time it should be made clear that not all procedures can be carried out where you might hope.

I would recommend DR Fasano

Dr Fasano was truly amazing, he achieved incredible results and has allowed me to become so much more more confident. Everything was explained thoroughly so I felt completely confident and trusted he would do an amazing job, I would recommend him to anyone looking to get VASER done.

This company does not even deserve 1…

This company does not even deserve 1 star. I have left previous reviews which have been deleted. I had a nose job in 2017 which was completed by Alwin - he was the most rude and obnoxious man I ever ever come across. My Mum came along with me to all my appointments before and after surgery and when my caste was removed and I expressed dissatisfaction as my nose was completely crooked after surgery Alwin advised it takes a year to settle and that “my nose still looks far better than before so why am I complaining” my Mum and I were both so shocked at his careless attitude. Pre nose job my nose was never wonky it was too long for my face with a slight bump on the bridge but it was not wonky. I kept raising my concerns and it was agreed a year after surgery that I did need a revision which I would not have to pay for as the error was on Awlins end who I was advised no longer works for the company and I would be assigned a new surgeon.

Time went by and I did not hear anything despite me chasing, I had made 100s of phone calls and sent countless emails. I had to fight with Harley group for 2 years for them to finally agree to do a revision surgery. This completely affected my mental health. After promised a revision I was then told the company went into administration and therefore I would need to pay for my revision.

I was so disgusted by the way I was treated that I went to the news paper and advised them of the experience I was having and they immediately wanted to post my article. The chronicle and echo advised me they would get into contact with Harley Group to get their side of the story and then contact me with an update. Shortly after the news paper contacted the Harley group I got a call from the manager - Lee who was dealing with my case and he then advised me my revision will be at no cost and he would be sending me a surgery date ASAP. I went ahead and had my revision surgery in November 2020. I believe the revision was only done as I threatened to have an article posted which I would have gone ahead and had published but as I had my revision done I decided not to.

I would stay far far away from this company as even though I got my revision in the end and I am happy with the outcome of my second nose job the experience I had and the difficulties I faced was appalling! I wish I never went with the Harley group and I made the mistake of not doing enough research on the company. Overall the company have awful customer service and the worst aftercare I have ever experienced. I am leaving this review in hope that it helps people to think twice before going ahead with this company.
