Never buy from this company. Bought two dresses as many others have said, the website gives the impression it is a UK based company. Dresses arrived from China. One too small, both very cheap, nasty material- not cotton as advertised. When I emailed to the support team I was offered 20% refund or return to China myself. I would have no confidence in this company giving a full refund even if I did. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering but they were helpful as I badgered and badgered and a refund is supposedly on the way to me.
I thought as many did that this was a trusted London firm, I looked at the website a lot and really thought they were based in the UK it wasn’t until I had paid for 2 dresses that alarm bells started to ring, then I found out the items were coming from China I should have been wary as I have been scammed before.

Wrong dress was sent. When I got onto the company they said I needed to send the dress back at cost to myself to China. After many emails and them offering me 30% 40% and 60% off if I kept the dress, which I refused. I eventually got in touch with PayPal and made a claim. Got my money back and the wrong dress will be going to a charity shop. Please, please don’t buy anything from Harrington and Hale.

I’m still in the middle of trying to return the goods which are poor quality and in spite of their misleading advertising information they are still trying to get me to return the goods to China . Trading standards next stop

Wish I had read all these Trustpilot reports before purchase. Dress took ages to arrive. It is much too big and seems like I will have to give it to a charity shop as refunds seem to be a joke as have to send back to China - had no idea I was purchasing from China - which costs as much as the dress! Lesson learned do not trust anything advertised on Facebook.

Waited 5 weeks for my dress to arrive, asked for the order to be cancelled several times. Just kept being told it had been shipped and was in transit. I wouldn't have ordered if I knew it was coming from China. Your website picture looks impressive but mis-leading. Only being offered 20% refund or pay for return to China. Not acceptable. The dress didn't fit anyway.

These must come under trades description surely! Sold as if a long established London small business, they come on a slow boat from China: the sizing is therefore totally out and none of the 3 were right, for different reasons. One too long, one too tight, and one shapeless and too big above waist.

Having read these reviews, I realise I should have checked before buying as I have exactly the same complaints as most others. The dress was nothing like the description and on complaining was offered a 20% refund but return item at own expense!!
Never again shall I but something advertised on Instagram!!

Very poor quality unlike picture of the dress. Smaller than the size stated, worse than Temu. Offered a 20% cash back or return to China at own expense. Thought I was buying from a uk company, would have given no stars if I could, wished I had looked at the reviews before buying. So disappointed will definitely not use Harrington and Hale again.

I would give this 0 stars but there isn’t the option.
They make it appear that they’re a London based company, but no. They are Chinese. Returns have to be sent to China.
Their clothes are also cr*p; made of 100% polyester when the description clearly says “cotton blend”.
Lesson learnt!

Nowhere on this site does it say that goods are coming from China or would need to be returned to China. This company have made their site appear as if they are a quintessential English company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

I have been offered just 20% refund on an £87 if "I decide" to keep the goods. Wrong shoe size sent fabric of clothing terrible. Not my decision to keep but if I want anything back I need to lose money.

Terrible company. Ordered a beautiful dress online and what I got was nothing more than a floor cloth. It was nothing like the description at all. Now I’m having trouble trying to return it for a refund. Please, please, please DO NOT order from this company. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered this dress. I intend to inundate them with emails until I get a satisfactory result. I’m a pensioner so I’ve got plenty of time.

Delivery takes a long time. Items are too small and the material is shocking. It’s the same quality as SHEIN or Temu, just for 10x the price. Refunds are completed by email rather than online forms. After requesting a refund, they offer a partial 20% refund if you are willing to keep the items or state that you must return the items to China. The postal fees to China cost more than to keep the items, so this is clearly just a way to take your money. Very disappointed and won’t be buying from here again.

Would have put a zero rating if I could. should have looked them up before ordering, I was taken in also, the garment is thin, no washing instructions and from China.

Refund available if I return to China at a cost (apparently), of between £17 to £43, or they will send a different size for free !!!

Absolute rubbish. Not cotton but polyester. Awful shape and cheaply made in China. Company shop is AI. Don’t buy anything from this company, they’re not even worth one star.

This company misleads you into thinking it is UK based it is not everything is shipped from and made in China. The sizing is inaccurate as are most things made in China, also unless you want to pay yourself to return the items to China for a partial refund they will only offer a store credit or a partial refund for you to keep the clothes.
