Harris Race Radios is a New Zealand motorsport business built on real racing, not distribution agreements. Founded and run by racers and engineers, we supply professional-grade motorsport equipment to teams and drivers across New Zealand and Australia from our showroom in Paraparaumu. Our founder, Rex Harris, is a professionally qualified radio engineer (NZRTC ARE127) registered on the NZ Government's Radio Spectrum Management list of engineers and examiners. The team includes Aaron Harris — a national champion driver and race engineer with Bathurst 1000 and Barcelona 24H victories — along with engineering and data specialists who have worked in Supercars pit crews and at the highest levels of Australasian motorsport. We specialise in five areas: communications systems (race radios, intercoms, in-car audio), data and timing (GPS lap timers, data loggers, telemetry), helmets and driver safety (FIA-rated helmets, HANS devices, race suits), cooling and endurance systems, and pit/garage infrastructure. Harris Race Radios is the Official Australasian Distributor for Rugged Radios, and an Official Dealer for AiM Sport, MyLaps, PCI Race Radios, B-G Racing, and Motorola. We also supply genuine products from Stilo, Bell Helmets, Schuberth, Simpson, OMP, Halo By Orthene, and Fresh Air Systems — all supported by race and radio engineers on staff. We ship to NZ and Australia. Business hours Monday to Friday, weekends by appointment.

So easy

Easy process, communication is great, not menu after menu and leave a message-an actual person answers the phone when you call!

Stellar service and prices even on the other side of the world!

I needed a new helmet to get back into racing. This time I was planning to drive an open-cockpit car, so a ballistic-rated helmet was a must. I found HRR online and they had a fantastic price on the helmet I had in mind. I contacted HRR and Aaron and he was extremely helpful in finding the helmet I needed and arranging shipment all the way to Texas. Even when I encountered customs for the first time and had questions, Aaron and his team assisted me in getting it to clear customs. I received the helmet and it's been great. Anytime I need new race gear and have the time to wait I'll be sure to shop with Harris Race Radios even here in the States.

Urgently needed a transponder…

Had to get a transponder for the next day as my other wasn't available. Called in and asked if I could come and get one from them and they said if I order it now it'll be there tomorrow morning.
Sure enough, I ordered one after the call and it was in my mailbox the next morning.
They kept me up to date with the shipping all the way via SMS which I really appreciated.
Good people, good products, good organisation!
