Good service from the Clitheroe shop…
Bought a new TV from the Clitheroe shop and also paid for the installation, which turned out to be a good move. I'd hoped that an existing BT box and a DVD player could also be connected up. But the shop's installer found that BT box was frustrating the installation, and had to be discarded. The installation was then completed. Good service and a good price.
Faith restored…
Todays experiences of public services breaks one's heart. I am in my eighties and remember when service was the most important part of a sale. Sadly to-day it seams the only thing that matters is profit. Well the clock has been turned back for me to-day. I visited HarryGarlicks Clitheroe store needing help to get my TV working, it was almost closing time but the assistant listened to my problem and offered to call on his way home to see if he could sort it realising we would not have had TV to Watch over weekend. He find the problem almost immediately the fault being the cable from sky to TV. He said I will go back to the shop and get a new one. Job sorted. Thank you very much to that wonderful gentleman 5stars seems little reward for the service he gave my wife and I.

Why advertise items at a reduced price that are not in stock.
I was looking on the Harry Garlick website and found a Liebherr fridge/freezer reduced by £50 and ordered it.I rang up and spoke to Simon Emberson to see when i could expect it to be delivered and was told he would ring me back,the next contact i got was an email saying the item was discontinued and i will get a refund.I still need a fridge/freezer but no one could be bothered to ring me back.The item i was interested in is still on the website still with a reduced price on it.WHY ADVERTISE ITEMS YOU DO NOT HAVE FOR SALE.Do not bother with this company if you want good service.

I cannot praise Harry Garlick enough after purchasing a dishwasher from the Skipton shop. Mine had packed it in and, to be honest, I went into the shop with very little knowledge about dishwashers - I just had a rough idea of how much I wanted to part with. The staff in the shop were incredible: they weren't pushy, they showed me my options and explained the benefits of some of the top of the range washers while giving me their professional opinion about the one they thought would be most appropriate for me. I arranged for the washer to be installed - they arrived on time (not always the case with big companies!) and were incredibly friendly and efficient in installing the washer. I'll definitely be back to Harry Garlicks when I need something else - a super friendly, local, family run business that does its job well!

Always chuffed with Harry Garlicks! I've been a customer for over a decade, and tend to bounce between the Barlick and Skipton shops and Ian or Calvin and the team are always on hand and willing to offer sage advice and honest recommendations.
On times when I've needed something installing, the guys have been really professional and efficient, and always do a great job!

With a Heavy Heart a Review of a Local Company
Herewith a copy of my final letter to the CEO of Harry Garlic.
I write to you in response to recent correspondence. I have to say i find your attitude to be both evasive as well as condescending
i will therefor list the chain of events so far
1 sometime in the previous year we purchased from Skipton shop a new television at the time we also showed interest in an American style fridge freezer, we explained that our Whirlpool was at the end of its life and would need removing and that it was a tight fit, the salesperson said that when our television was delivered the men would measure up to see if the job was possible, this was done and agreed that though tight it was indeed certainly possible.
2 Early this year our Whirlpool died and we chose a new fridge freezer from your Skipton shop we again confirmed that your employees had measured for the job we were given a delivery date.
interestingly during the period after the purchase of the television we also purchased and took delivery of a dishwasher and again confirmed that the removal and installation of a new fridge freezer would be possible
3 on the day of delivery the van arrived with two personnel, the more senior of the two had a somewhat negative attitude, i felt, and before even getting to the installation site expressed concern that it was a long way to have to take it
4 after viewing the old Whirlpool installation they soon decided they could not/ would not do it and called for the manager to help he eventually arrived from the Skipton store, after further assessing the situation he proceeded to remove the doors from the FF disconnect the water supply (which the 2 men had not even attempted) then two shelves from the pantry wall, after some time manovering and discussion the manager announced it could not be done and that "we" would have to get someone with a saw to cut it in half to remove it they then all walked off site, leaving my wife and myself with a partly dismantled FF and the contents of our larder on the dining room table.
5 In desperation my wife rang our son who came round he took one look and on his own virtually (as i am disabled post hip op.) moved an undercounter freezer to outside tipped the FF carcass on its back and safely removed it onto the rear patio with absolutely no damage to either the carcass or the décor of the pantry
6 So one 50yr old in 10/15 minutes removed safely what your three presumably fully trained members of staff were unwilling or unable to to do in over one hour
7 we were then told that they would not supply the American fridge freezer we had ordered and paid for and that we should choose an alternative.
We paid for delivery installation of new FF and removal and disposal of old FF And on complaining about customer service have had no apology rather a poor attempt at defending and attempting to justify your staffs inefficiency. quite frankly i feel your customer service is abysmal and should be renamed staff protection service
The final outcome is we have a fridge freezer not of our choosing that does not fit the space allotted etc.
