Having purchased many cars "over the phone" in the past I have to say that my experience earlier today was shocking ! The salesman - Mark was rude, argumentative and just would not listen to the point that I had to hang up. Having provided Mark with a range to aim for my expected cost of change, also provided the trade in price quoted by Motorway he finally succumbed to providing me with an outrageous offer which I duly thanked him for but unsurprisingly rejected

Follow up from Rehan Khan where he offered an improved trade in before they sold the car elsewhere. Just to close the review I subsequently used Motorway to offer my car for sale to other dealers and they secured a sale which was approximately £3k more than Harwoods final offer - lesson learnt 😏

I was going to purchase a Discovery Sport, to be fair the finance company took a while to approve but the problems began after. I was constantly told we’ve been trying to email/phone you…. Ok I’m on the phone now why can’t I come and collect. One excuse after another, we’re just getting it valeted and will call at 3pm, 3pm turned into another week, and after 2/3 weeks of this I’d had enough. I believe the customer experience is vital for repeat business and recommendations and I cannot honestly do either. Here comes the punchline, everyone person in Coulsdon that I’ve emailed for my deposit back has ignored me, they’ve illegitimately held onto this since September. I would stay well clear, I have now reached out to the directors to see if they really value their reputation because it’s gone to a point of being ridiculous.

Review for Harwood’s Land Rover Brighton
I purchased a used vehicle from Harwood’s Land Rover Brighton in October 2024, and the experience has been nothing short of appalling. The vehicle had significant issues, and during my ownership, it spent more time off the road than on it.
I had to contact Land Rover Assist multiple times, but despite the clear evidence of ongoing problems, there was no proper response from the dealer. The process involved endless diagnostics, but with no practical solutions or genuine commitment to resolving the issues. Instead of providing any meaningful customer service, the response was lackluster, and the lack of communication was completely unacceptable.
Despite sending numerous emails and making multiple phone calls to address these issues, my concerns were repeatedly ignored. It was only when I escalated the matter directly to the CEO that I received any real response.
After months of frustration, I had no choice but to reject the vehicle, and eventually, after significant delays, I received a refund in January 2025.
This entire experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to proceed with extreme caution. Beware.

I purchased a used Audi e-tron. As I lived 5 hours away from the dealership I did not want to travel to view the car and I was reliant on the vehicle appraisal given by the salesperson. In my case this was Eric Van-Mol. Erik gave me an honest assessment of the vehicle, which is refreshing for a salesperson. Once the sale was agreed he provided me with constant updates. Due to other commitments I was only able to collect the car on a day that suited me. Erik came in on his day off to handover the car and finalise the paperwork. Very happy customer Thank you Erik for all the attention to detail.

We had a pretty good experience buying our new car from Harwoods.
Our salesman was Damian at Hargroves Chichester, he was very nice and not al all pushy. We brought just before Xmas 22nd and were supposed to pick up the car on the 2nd Jan this didn't happen due to a failed mot ( just tyres) they said this would be sorted and the tyre replaced. It only failed on one tyre but as I had pointed out that two other tyre were worn, although not a failure they did replace them so we were very happy. We picked the car up and took it home very happy. The next day we got a call that they had to take the car back because there was an issue with mot of which I'm not to certain what it was, they picked car the up that night and left us with a curtesy car ( top of the range Jag😁) we collected are car the following day all OK with full mot and as a good will gestures for the messing around they gave us an afternoon tea with bubbly as a thank you for bearing with them.
So I think they went above and beyond to get things done and although it was a bit of a faf I think they handled it well and done there best considering the time of year.
A big thank you to Damian for keeping us updated and with full explanations at all times.

Very poor service.
I have been using harwood for a number of years, starting with my evoque, f pace, and now range rover.
As much as we love rangerovers, they are extremely unreliable, and i have been sending mine back and forth to the dealership. It's always a long wait, and repairs are not carried out to the best.
My boot strat failed ( bought the car brand new and covered 25k miles), and the service i received from the service manager Hayley Brook has been appaling, just reluctant to do anything, trying to pass on to another department or another garage.
I had to get landrover involved to resolve the repair.
Another repair that has been done by the garage 4 times is still not rectified, and she is reluctant to solve this or admitt liability.
It is always frustrating when the staff forget that we have spent over 100k on a car and that a level of service must be provided for our repeat customs.
I have filed a complaint with land rover, they have told the garage to solve this, yet over a week has passed, and i am still waiting for Hayley's call.

I purchased my Audi A6 SE TDI in 2007 which has been serviced and maintained by 5 Oaks Audi in Billingshurst during the past 17 years and, because of its age and 117,000 miles, has required some major work. During that time I have dealt with a number of different personnel at the Garage and have always received the courtesy and hospitality from the individuals concerned. My recent visit involved an MOT and replacement Road Spring which was handled by Anjuli MacDuff and Darrin Rance. Such lovely people who explained the work involved and cost implications. I have had several dealings with Anjuli since she has been at 5 Oaks and it's such a pleasure to have someone who understands customer requirements. Stay well clear of these we bought an f pace in February the engine management light come on 30 miles into our journey home not mentioning the 4 tyres that were all on the legal limit we have had numerous issues with the car since purchasing it and Harwoods Brighton don’t give a toss we even had it in another dealership and have a report from them that Harwoods have carried out suspect work on it they even cancelled our finance agreement without our consent which has now impacted our credit rating and got us into debt with our finance agreement STAY CLEAR GUYS
