Excellent supplier. I come across stuff I've been looking for for years. Eventually, I find Hatton's has got what I've been after. I'd recommend a regular look at their website, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I'm new to model railways and have been using Hatton's for my rail layout items, the customer service is amazing, whenever I buy anything they always keep me up to date on the order, the packing and delivery, even after delivery.
As I said I'm new to model railways (and old). Yet whenever I'm not sure of something the staff are only too pleased to help and have been very patient with me, (I do probably ask daft questions). And they are so responsive, no waiting for days or weeks for an answer.
I cannot rate them highly enough and would recommend them to all starting out on the hobby, or even if you've been doing it for a while. All I can say to Hatton's is thank you for the great service and the help you have given me recently.

Great communication and service. Really well packaged and dispatched the same day. Overwhelmed with the condition of what I bought, it was secondhond and described as good, it was nigh on perfect for its age. Really happy with purchase, I will definitely use again.

I had a lot of old 00 locos, coaches and wagons which I wanted to sell. I listed my collection using their online tool and received an offer, which I accepted. The models were collected on Monday and I received payment on Wednesday. Very happy with the service.

First order, model plane for a Christmas present. I ordered on Tuesday evening, and delivered Thursday evening. Great service - especially in December. Thank you

My children clubbed together and bought me a new Hattons class 66 in EWS livery in December 2020. It has only been run occasionally on my large DC layout which is very well maintained. A few weeks ago it packed ups.As it was out of warranty I sent it to a reputable repairer who told me the motor was un repairable. I contacted Hattons who don't sell spare motors and no-one else does as Hattons have the copyright. Hattons customer service was then poor, not phoning me back as promised last week and today said there is nothing they can do and advised me to phone Peters spares in Middelsboro. This was all nonsense as Peters spares don't stock Hattons class 66 motors because Hattons have the copyright. My advice is give Hattons a very wide birth and get your model railway locos and rolling stock elsewhere. The quality of the product and after sales service is pitiful.

i ordered 3 O gauge greastly coaches wednesday 26/10 now been 5 days and nothing has arrived have spoken to a few time but feel im being fobbed off with excuses like “ were really busy with the sale please bare with us once packed i should received an email from xxx” and “ the items are larger and require special packing” along with “our warehouse staff dont work weekends)

I ordered 4 o gauge warwell wagons which the system informed me would be post free above £50.1. the cost of the wgons was £200 and I was charged £14 for postage! Hattons NOW claim "free delivery is only an option for orders valuing £250.00 or more as stated on the website" but that WAS NOT CLEAR ON THE WEBSITE so I responsded " I was NOT aware of that restriction which is why I made the comment in the form that I did! the link subsequently provided is clear but that WAS NOT EVIDENT during the processing of my order. I had been going to order a reduced price A4 or A3 Locomotive but will not now do as the lack of clarity when I made the order for the Warwell wagons is losing my further business. NO RESPONSE FROM HATTONS - CLEARLY TOO BIG TO CARE ABOUT CUST5OMERS. I would give ZERO stars if possible :(

Ordered a pre owned class 170 which arrived well packaged and in superb condition as stated in the product description. Would recommend.

I’m another mug who has purchased from Hattons for years but have now come unstuck by their pre-order system, I placed an order for a limited edition model bus as soon as it came on the website, however in a slight variant to other reviews I received a phone call to say that their payment card system had been updated and it hadn’t recognised my card number and to re-enter my details. When I phoned I was told that the system had jumped over my card to the next customer, I was then told that more stocks would arrive by the end of the month. On a limited edition? I didn’t think so and I was proved right, an email came through telling me my pre-order had been cancelled. As with all pre-orders I hadn’t paid any money so its not financial loss only goodwill. I thought it was only me that was unlucky but for some mad reason I typed in Hatton Reviews on the internet and came across this site and have now read how many other people have been let down by this once good company. so like them I will walk away. Question, what would Trading standards say about this pre-order practice?

I ordered a bluebell engine at 02.33 om 9th sept for my autistiuc son, was notified my order was in place and given an order number. Rang Hattons on 13sept to enquire about order and they said computer error and engine was gone. No one bothered to notify me that my order had supposedly not gone through even though i recieved confirmation, they say someone ordered the same engine 20 seconds before me yet at 3.15 am this morning the same engine is readvertised on the wishlist. No explanation for this at all, no notification of error. Totally unprofessional attitiude and very abrubt with me on phone, would not help at all.

After having a HATTONS product order (Genesis Coaches) on Pre Order for a year and a half- and eagerly await it's final arrival.... They just cancel it on or about the date it 'would' have been delivered. Do they not have any level of stock control...
To me this means they were taking pre orders for products that were NEVER going to be fulfilled.

Great model locomotive shop. I live in the USA and last week I ordered several items on Tuesday afternoon, and they were on my doorstep in the USA on Friday. Amazing service. And their customer service team is very helpful and efficient. Thoroughly recommended!

I placed the order with Hattons on Monday afternoon and the item was delivered on Wednesday morning. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition and as described. I used to visit the shop in Smithdown Road, Liverpool in the 1970's and 80's, but this is the first time I have ordered online and would not hesitate in doing so again as everything went smoothly and efficiently.
