Eventful night
Had a great night at Borwick Hall on Friday night. Our hosts were fantastic. We got to try a wide range of things. The yes/no table was brilliant. We had a lot of response with the balls, Teddy and I think they were called pendulums. Our hosts stayed the night with us and considering they only got a few hours sleep, they were bright and chirpy the next morning. In Some rooms we didn't get much activity but I guess that can be expected. Will definitely book again. Might even book one in Scotland so we can meet them again, hopefully they will be there. Thanks guys.
Amateur and unprofessional
Attended a ghost tour 2 x nights ago with this company. On arrival, 2 of the leaders were stood outside the entrance smoking. So many people were there - not the little number I expected from the website. We split into 4 x groups, one person in our group was very loud & immature and nothing was said to her at all.
The company in my opinion was unprofessional, it seemed amateur. Leader kept checking their phone and moaning that it was going to take them two hours to drive home. Equipment was very basic and didn’t seem to work effectively. There was no structure to the night and within a couple of hours I was ready to leave.
I also felt that the leader was antagonising the spirits with the way that she spoke to them. We had zero contact from any spirit and neither did any of the groups. We left early and so did others. Wish we hadn’t wasted so much money. Would do another one ghost hunt but definitely not with this company.
Ancient Ram Inn
Did a tour last night at the Ancient Ram inn with Haunted rooms, it was an amazing night for us personally, we had Jaye as her team leader, he was brilliant the whole time, he guided us so well, was friendly, reassuring, comforting and a lovely person to be around. He helped lead but also let us do our own thing and stepped in if we were struggling with questions, he didn’t give too much history in one go as he didn’t want to lead us and we were so grateful for that.
We are already looking at doing the sleepover for this place as we loved it so much.
Great night with Haunted rooms at…
Great night with Haunted rooms at Walton Hall. The venue was really interesting and the company made good use of the location. Everything was well organised with enthusiastic group leaders who made everyone feel involved. Lots of impressive equipment being used to monitor activity. Will certainly book with them again.
Great night!
It’s strange people only leave reviews if they’ve had a bad experience 🙈 so thought I’d share mine. I’ve been on 6 ghost hunts with haunted rooms now. Latest one being croxteth hall. Team members try to get everyone involved and plenty of gadgets to use. If you go on paranormal evenings sometimes it is just a quiet night that’s the way things are in the spirit world but every time I’ve been with HR we’ve experienced something! Thank you HR
Shambles of a company
Where to begin! We booked a night ghost investigating at Margam Castle for my birthday and I feel extremely sorry for them for wasting there money on this!
The team members never introduced themselves, no structure to the night, and there was no grounding/protection offered to anyone or newbies.
Use of equipment was non existent, unless you class a glass cup as equipment. On previous ghost investigations with other groups we had access to EMF, Spirit boxes, REM pods etc.
Each investigation consisted of the same stuff, spirit board, glass cup. Nothing else! They did not let you investigate, they wanted to run the show and it was known.
Team members were more interested in flexing there own ego's. And one team member was extremely rude! At one point I felt like I was back in school, the way one member spoke to us like children!
To top it off, you could clearly see one team member rocking a table and classing it as paranormal, this was witnessed by all, it was at this point we were done and wanted to leave early!
If I had driven a long way to go to this event I would be asking for my money back!
If I could give 0 stars I would!
Scolton Manor event
Joined your event at Scolton Manor on Saturday 11th March.
I was disappointed in how you presented yourself and how you run your events, it wasn't very organised at all.
We had No equipment to use other than apps from phones or a radio.
Didn't have breaks as our group host kept on running over times.
Being talked over in every vidual by our host when calling out for spirit, he was more interested in talking about the history of the local town.
Host feeding information, when we was told that he wouldn't give us any knowledge of the historical history!
I didn't enjoy my experience with this ghost hunting company what so ever and will never make the mistake of booking you in the future.
I have never wanted to leave an event a couple of hours into it, I only stayed as it was my friends first ghost hunt and I didn't think it fair!
To say it was the worst ghost hunt I have ever been on is putting it mildly! And I've been to many.
Shambles.
I really don’t like leaving negative reviews for anything, but on this occasion I feel I need to.
The event was booked for my friend’s birthday and we paid £119 pp for dinner, bed / breakfast and the ghost hunt.
We drove 3 hours from the North West and the pair of us where really looking forwards to the evening.
Upon arrival there was no record of our booking - thankfully the hotel sorted it out and found us a room.
People that we had spoken to had been emailed prior to their stay a bit of an ' itinerary ‘, however we never received this so we were clueless as to what was going to be happening.
I agree with the other reviews - the communication from the hosts wasn't great at all. We didn’t know who the hosts where as they didn’t make themselves known to guests – I had to approach them politely to ask how the evening would pan out and what the plans for the hunt where.
The food the hotel provided us with was lovely, as was all the service we received from staff at Missenden Abbey.
The meal itself was a shambles. The room ( a marquee ) we ate in was freezing and there was complimentary wine throughout the meal, which as a non-drinker I found odd for an event like this. A few people on our table mentioned that they had been on ghost hunting experiences before and found it absurd that free booze was readily available.
By the time the ghost hunt started around 9.30pm, the majority on our table had lost interest and where restless as we had been sat around for over 2 hours in a freezing cold marquee with zero communication.
We didn’t witness any paranormal activity – but we understood that this may / may not happen and is part of the game.
What we did witness was a disorganised and shoddily put together evening, which was a real shame.
We would definitely go on another ghost hunt, but unfortunately not with this company.
Attended the Missenden Abbey event 11th…
Attended the Missenden Abbey event 11th March and was, quite frankly, surprised at the poor management, hosting and judgement shown throughout the evening.
The dinner provided included unlimited wine. Given the event we were attending, this to me seemed both very unusual and unwise. Unfortunately, some guests drank a great deal making the investigations that followed both unsafe and disruptive. Even the hosts were drinking.
The management of the evening left a lot to be desired. Very large groups with hardly any equipment. Total lack of leadership. Hosts on their phones during vigils. No one had been to the venue to do a site visit before the event so ended up on a rotation of conference rooms within the building.
All in all a very poor experience and not one I am keen to repeat!
Missenden Abbey - Not Great
Pre booked Missenden Abbey ghost hunt with room, 3 course meal, breakfast and ghost hunt for March 2023.
Negatives…
- Over 60 people on the event due to one getting cancelled the week before. Way too many! A smaller group would have been better.
- No structure. Hosts didn’t introduce themselves, provide us with an schedule of events , explain about the building or history. It felt like they where making up excuses and trying to justify why things went wrong.
- A lot of the guests arrived at the event to find out they didn’t have a room and the hotel blamed the events company and the events company blamed the hotel. From what we heard guests were found a room.
- This was the first time that the events company had been to this hotel on a ghost hunt and it showed - they didn’t look and seem very confident.
- Originally we where told the ghost hunt was starting at 8pm and it started at 9.45pm.
- Food was eaten in a freezing cold marquee - majority where eating with coats on.
- We sat down for the 3 course meal at 7pm and left the table at 9.30pm.
- Free wine on the tables - and it kept coming and coming. Some guests were really drunk and loud. No wonder really when we where sat hanging around for 2.5 hours. Why free wine was given on a ghost hunt I’ll never know. Found it unprofessional that the hosts where drinking too!
- The whole event seemed disorganised with zero structure.
Positives
- Good food and service from the hotel and staff.
- Hotel was in lovely grounds.
- Comfortable bed.
- The host called Krysof was a good host and cool guy!
We didn’t see or hear any ghosts ( we understand that this wasn’t guaranteed) but the 4 hosts told us that there was a presence in the hotel and the grounds.
