Two cancellations and no deliverables

I have now had two designers cancel on me, the latest after waiting a month and just got a cancellation notice a week before the project was due. Really disappointing experience. Absolutely nothing delivered to-date.

Got a lot more than I was expecting

My designer was Angelica Henriquez and she was amazing. Loved her personality. When I first went through the call, I was just spewing all the things wrong with the space and she resolved them all! I had already sent in the photos, so she did have time to review those. I did have to wait quite a while for my first appointment, but I'm assuming the business is taking off and they're getting busier! After the initial call, she made some tweaks. There was an option for another call, but I only needed to correspond via the online platform. My main concern was how to arrange furniture in a somewhat odd space that is a dining room, with a fireplace. Wanting to make the fireplace area more cozy--and we did! I had not thought of arranging furniture in the way Angelica provided. Loved that you could shop right from the screens, plus the overhead blueprint also gave you the sizing.

Ignored and disregarded

Already felt a bit bait and switched when the prices for their 50% off sale were artificially higher, but ignored the red flag.
Havenly cancelled my designer 'due to high demand'. I then found out she was still available, but another week later, which means they just put someone in front of me. I guess they were more important?
I already was waiting 2 weeks for that designer to start (which is on the low end - most are going to wait over a month before they even start working on your project).
When they cancelled the designer, I lost my 'place in line' and had to start the wait over again.
I reached out to customer support who repeatedly ignored/disregarded/declined to address any of my concerns.
It seems like unless you're a big spender you are completely unimportant and deprioritized. That's a fair business choice, but I wish they'd at least just process my refund once I found out I was going to have an abysmal experience.

Do not order furniture through them

We were told to order as many things through Havenly as we could by our designer (they get a commission on them) because Havenly would track the shipping and manage the orders and delivery for us. This was a huge lie. We ordered over $3000 worth of furniture from Pottery Barn through the Havenly website, and the furniture just randomly showed up one day without any warning to us whatsoever. What's worse, is there was no way to select the white glove delivery service that Pottery Barn typically offers with big furniture pieces during the Havenly check out process. So we were stuck with having to move furniture up 4 flights of stairs by ourselves, unpacking the 8+ huge boxes, assembling the furniture, and disposing of the packing material. It was a huge pain and there is NO benefit for the customer to order things through Havenly, except that you don't have to enter your credit card information at more than one website. I tried reaching out to customer service at Havenly and their phone number just tells you to send an email. It's been over 24 hours since I sent an email and have not gotten any response yet. We are so disappointed with this service and it really ruined our overall experience with Havenly. If you use them, beware, and do not order furniture through them because it is not the same and you don't get any order updates!

Beware. Wouldn’t recommend

I am a previous user of Modsy so when I found they went in a different direction I was excited to find Havenly to help with our babies nursery just as I had done before. Havenly is not user friendly at all and picking a designer is a nightmare. When I first bought the package I took forever searching and reading bios of the designers because it makes you pick a designer before cashing out. Thinking this is who I would be working with. Trying to match the style I was going for with someone who would enjoy the project and has done nurseries before. This was NOT easy as there is no way to filter the designers by rooms they have done, dates available, nothing. You can filter by city… which who cares it’s online and their style but most say they are a combination etc. I finally pick one but not realizing if you don’t plan to start the project right away this likely won’t be your designer anyway. So by the time I uploaded all the room info, dimensions and inspiration about a month later that designer was no longer available. Havenly tells me to pick again. Now I’m frustrated that I’m back to square one and literally the soonest designer I could find for a starting call was 3 weeks out now… again not being able to filter by this date so I had to have picked at least ten designers to then be able to see their schedule for their first call and then canceling when it was too far out for my due date. Finally pick one. Then the week of the call that I waited for for three weeks I get an email saying that designer can no longer do it and to pick a new one. Again, back to the drawing board with everyone three-4 weeks out which almost 30 weeks pregnant I don’t have time for at this point. HUGE waste of money. Reached out to customer service by responding to that email as it indicated, no response. I would stay away!!

Wanted to add an update to be fair and transparent in my review- after posting this Havenly reached out and did provide me a full refund as I had asked for so I do think they did what they could to make it right.

DO NOT order a Sauna from Havenly

DO NOT order a Sauna from Havenly. We did and we regret it greatly. The sauna kit got run over by a semi and they would not let us return it. We never got what we ordered and they did not help us out making sure we did. Definitely a buyer beware situation! They are a horrible company. The reply from Havenly is ridiculous, we spoke to them over 20 times it was like a part time job… do not order from them they don’t care if you get a damaged sauna… go with someone else.. anyone else!

poor service all around

The concept I received didn't have the entire room. It was set up exactly how my room is set up now. I spent a lot of time giving them details on what I needed from the room and received nothing comparable to what I asked for. They decided to refund me. However my bank directly contacted me and said that the refund was not completed because "the merchant did not complete this transaction". They can't design a room or complete a transaction correctly, do not use them. It's a waste of money and you won't even see your refund.

You've asked for more details. But your customer service team has been less than helpful. My banks states you did not complete the transition on your end. I reached out again today with no response.

I used Havenly 5 times between 2017 and…

I used Havenly 5 times between 2017 and 2021. All 5 times were great. The company has changed though. I assume it was not a profitable operating model to continue the strong customer service but they have a very low budget communication approach. The phone line has been turned off. Emails take 48 hours. The design was good but the overall process is a giant headache.

Great Experience Redesigning my space

Really great experience working with Havenly, specifically Sarah Cerda as my Designer. I moved apartments and was looking for help to update the space, but still keeping the couch and some other pieces in the room. Sarah worked on mood boards and a floor plan with suggestions I had not even considered. She then worked back and forth on three different concepts, incorporating our feedback on styling and price along the way. We are thrilled with how the space came out and how helpful it was to have someone help suggest design ideas and actual items. I was super overwhelmed by all the possibilities and could not have gotten the space done without Sarah's ideas. She was patient and always happy to provide alternative options and I would absolutely work with her on another room in the future! I've also recommended Havenly to SO many friends! Thanks Sarah :)

Poor Customer Service

Havenly’s customer service has been one of the worst I’ve ever had to communicate with. I originally emailed on 2/5/24 asking for help resetting my password and accessing my account. I had just purchased a full design service on 2/4/24 and hours later was locked out of my account where my password would no longer work. I have not been able to access my account since. The password reset emails do not come to my email and the reset links do not work. I even deleted the app like the customer service rep suggested and still nothing. I have only received 2 responses from Havenly since 2/5/24 and it’s now 2/13/24 and I’m unable to use a service I purchased. I have emailed multiple times with no response. This is very frustrating and the customer service at Havenly is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company.

UPDATE 2/13/24. I’m happy to provide any details needed to Havenly to resolve this issue.

Tried to use this service once and at…

Tried to use this service once and at its origins it was good. In 2024, horrible - no communication and the designer did not even cancel - she simply stood me up. I cleared my AM to take a 7:30 call and that woman did not even deem necessary to notify she is not showing up. Trying to get my money back and will make sure that all my friends are aware of this scam.

A Vote of No Confidence in Havenly

I gave the designer a picture of what I thought was wonderful for a living room. I also told him must haves like sturdy dining room chairs, a wine rack, etc. His design was so far off from the picture that I thought he mixed me up with some condo dweller in a Manhattan condo on the Upper East Side. I told him no, told him what was wrong, and gave him another opportunity. The same thing happened, but this time he told me that maybe I can't understand his concept. If this designer can be so far off from a picture that I gave him, there is no hope here, so I ended my relationship with Havenly.

It took me 3 month to start to work on…

It took me 3 month to start to work on my project.
First thing that designer did she cancelled our call because she understands my needs.
Than she sends me lists of products wasting my time. I am extremely unhappy. Worst desigh company I tried. I worked with Modsy in the past and was very happy with them. Hope I will get my money back. This company is a joke. No customer service.

I've used havenly several times

I've used havenly several times and the process and quality of design has drastically declined. This time they have also been a pain to deal with on the order process. I've received defective product and they are offering no way to fix it. I can no longer recommend the design service OR ordering anything from them.

Horrible Service

Horrible! I ordered a jewelry box for my little girl weeks before Christmas and it’s Christmas Eve and though they repeatedly assured me it would be here on time it is not here!! Still waiting on yet another email response because evidently they don’t take phone calls. Never again will I do business with this company!

Havenly not allowing me to use gift card

Havenly will not allow me to use my gift card with their BF promotion code. How does this make any sense? A gift card is not a promotion, it is credit and considered cash equivalent. I'm not trying to stack 2 promotions codes, I'm just trying to use MY credit.

ETA: Reason for not being able to use gift card is: The purchased gift card is for a set amount that is why we cannot stack them with the promo. Gift card is NOT a considered promotion at any other store. It is CASH EQUIVALENT
