I have previously purchased shirts from Hawes & Curtis. Their problem however is that they frequently hold 'sales' but then sell out of items and so are unable to fulfil the order. They will say that demand is such that it sells out, of course, but funny thing is a stock level is stated and decreases as the time goes by, other online shirt retailers like the far superior Claudio Luigi operate sales yet somehow manage to ensure stock exsits when they take your payment, totally unlike Hawes & Curtis. Of course they suggest you can order something else, but at full price. Its sharp practice, there is no other way of putting it. On the last occasion that this has happened they confirmed the order, yet again took payment, then a WEEK later said one shirt was out of stock, then a WEEK after that advised the whole order was out of stock and so the order was cancelled. Why don't they know immediately the order can't be fulfilled. The customer services are so poor. Luke from their customer services gave plenty of rheteroic to start then simply refunded payment, after they had held the funds for sometime. I won't shop with Hawes & Curtis again as a result of the latest debacle, and I would warn anyone don't count on them fulfilling orders, and non existent customer service is also pretty much guaranteed. I like their shirts in fairness, and I have plenty of them that last well, but they've finally worn me down with their poor online ordering and unethical way of promoting themselves. If they know it is a problem, and others manage not to constantly disappoint their customers why don't they do anything about it rather than rely on the sorry 'its tough, unprecedented demand at sale time' as their only mitigation. I won't go back and warn others to be ready to be disappointed.

I ordered two blouses, classic style with tie bow collar, I was unable to find anything similar in Australia in either style or quality. It took a little over a week from order to delivery and what a very pleasant discovery, both blouses fit beautifully and are well finished. Versatility is another great feature, I can easily wear either of these blouses at a weekend lunch, at work or out on the town for dinner with friends. Very happy with my purchase and will definitely be back. Ticks all the boxes on style, fit, quality, service and cost.
