Hays Reviews 

They use ATS. I applied for a job through Hays, in evening hours, when no one in DK is working. I got a response in 15 minutes. The irony was the message started with "After careful consideration...". This is such a joke for applicants.

I wish I read the reviews before wasting my time and energy with this company. They register you and promise you a job, then ghost you. Avoid like the plague.

Avoid this recruiter!
If I could give them zero I would. The representatives are all friendly initially, if they think they may get a commission from you. She even suggested that I take a job I didn't want "just for 6 months" to get it on your CV - mmm... and also for them to get the commission!
No follow up after interviews, no response to emails, no helping you find the right company for you. If you are looking for a job I would definitely recommend that you avoid Hays!
Even worse - their automated feedback form is a disgrace - formatting is awful and it will not allow you to submit unless you put at least 2 stars! What a joke.

Crap, they never respond or get back to you. I don't even bother applying to jobs through them anymore.

Do not use. Terrible company. terrible communication. Just terrible all round. Supposed to get paid weekly but 9/10 is not on time and no communication about this. Don’t care about employees .Could be ran better by 4 year olds. Shocking

SHOCKING DO NOT USE!!!!!!

The onboarding was shocking, I was sat in the waiting area for an hour before being seen.

Once I was seen, I was given a list of jobs before being given any information or giving me any details at all.

I was instructed to go back at 3 oclock so after I completed my tasks I went back for what I can only presume was meant to be my induction.

On arrival they told me it was only a temp role which I wasnt informed about, im not employed by them as a company, theres a company van I can use only on occasion. Petrol etc is handled by you but you havent mentioned about this. I havent received anything at all in regard to this position and had to chase up so many times just to get a simple offer letter.

I have wasted my time and fuel today.

There is clearly a lack of communication between yourself as an agency and the end client - something they told me happens often from your agency.

Also I was waiting and waiting after a few occasions of asking for information about the job role and details so I could go through it properly which I never received!!!!!

Rebekah, Assumes peoples work references are fake!

I got a job through the agency after going to an interview and a start date my dbs and financial checks pass although Rebekah assumed my voluntary work experience was fake and therefore she didn’t want to proceed with letting me go in on my start date.

Don’t work with cowboy agencies like this.

This obviously proves this organisation is fake and unreliable. Please do not waste your time. Why are they focusing and replying to reviews relating to other organisations(hospitality and leisure) , but ignoring reviews about their own organisation (recruitment agency). They obviously cannot debunk all the allegations in the reviews. The Hays recruitment website should be taken down.

Comes as no surprise that Hays is receiving over 90% of one star rating. I also feel there is a lot of fake job placements to generate leads, I've been on their database for years and very rarely have I been contacted with relevant jobs it's always jobs that do not match and ones I find myself and apply to via job boards, linkedin or direct email I get zero response back. It's a shame to see so many people are experiencing the same thing.

Total time wasters.
Ive applied for multiple positions which I believe im more than qualified for. Emailed, called and reached out on social media. Not one person has gotten back to me.
Fake leads. Just another recruiter trying to get you on their data base.
Absolutely appalling service!

Absolutely shocking company.

I’ve been contacted by their recruiters multiple times, and every time I responded, I never received any follow-up. I’ve even been approached about specific job roles, sent my CV across multiple times, and still got no reply.

This isn’t just about not being found a job — I’ve managed that on my own. The issue is the constant stream of job emails from them, yet when you reply or show interest, there's complete radio silence.

One particular recruiter has reached out over eight times. I responded to every message, and not once did she reply. Just yesterday, I received yet another job opportunity email from her. I finally replied asking for these emails to stop due to the ongoing lack of consideration. Her response? That they receive too many applications to respond to everyone.

It takes seconds to set up an automated message — so I don’t understand why that can’t be done. People spend hours applying and hear absolutely nothing. The least they can do is acknowledge receipt or inform candidates if they haven't been shortlisted. It’s basic decency.

I found the company to be unhelpful and inconsistent ,there was a lack of care and consideration. If things are going well with the registration process brilliant, but if not then you are just left struggling .Communication terrible

Minimal communication and lack of work. Waste of time

Staff are smiling and polite however they lack knowledge. Do you’re own research as they booked me into a hotel with very bad reviews and in the wrong location.

If I could I would give these a zero star. Constantly reaching out with JDs that are not even remotely related to my work experience, do they even make the effort to check? Lazy at best. There are better recruitment companies out there such as searchability.

The special fried rice was nothing like the picture as shown in the menue .
My one came in a small plastic container 80% rice not happy and bought there for years . And how they can re dip the spring rolls and cook them is just ridiculous

TERRIBLE!! Good luck getting the right pay each week. They put you under an umbrella company and continue to mess your pay up and dont care when its their fault. Avoid like the plague.

I applied for a job advertised on Reed, sadly they use this agency for their recruitment needs. I engaged with the agency and received a call from a very ill mannered lady who wanted me to jump through many hoops for her agency and several "onboarding" discussions before I would be able to proceed with my job application. Fleur was very pretentious and managed to completely destroy my interest in the position I was applying for. I felt demoralised and upset and not what any job seeker needs or deserves. Shame on you Hays!!

1 star too many. I have been applying for jobs online. I call their office they rarely answer. When they do they never pass messages on and you NEVER get a call back you've been promised. Disgusting customer services.
