Very disappointing experience
Norwich office recruiting for LOTUS Cars.
Spoke to Garry Mcmillen, the recruiter, who said great, exciting, opertunity at factory. You can chose, from working on the line, spaying painting our logistics depth.
Went for interview..fist impression of LOTUS CAR Training academy, Hurricane Way, Norwich..disappointed, looks like place falling down, grass so high, signs falling down, looks very, very tatty..Not a good first impression.
A few test, and interview mature gentlemen, which was a comfort. But lots of young people around with not much to do on reception. Interviewer said if we hire you you will be a GENERAL LABOURER, doing any job we tell you too do.

That not what Garry Mcmillen told me, from Hays Norwich.
So have been mislead.

Garry tried to call me twice on Tuesday, I was unfortunately busy. He left no voice message, he did not send me an email. Dance I have repeatedly tried to call and email...He's not responding...

Don't waste your time with this company...

One of the worst, most pointless recruitment agencies I have ever came across. Seriously. Avoid. Pointless.

Seems like they will say or do anything not to pay you. I did get a percentage of my pay but after numerous phone calls I’ve come to the conclusion they are not going to pay the rest. They’ve blamed the customer & the.umbrella company up to this point I guess assuming I’m I wouldn’t bother speaking to them. They give no description of the work to be carried out & keep it from me that my second shift was from 6pm till 6am for no extra.. avoid at all costs..

I didn't even apply for a job, but I was contacted by a worker trying to recrute me! I have a job! I was harrassed for 5 hours. I suspected a scam, so I just led her/him on. They did not want to give me their e-mail address. I'm therefore not sure if Hays was actually involved or was I being scammed?

they struggling to pay money on time, during 4weeks working on project i have not been paid 2 times, plus they said i need to wait until next week…… highly not recommended, totally unprofessional

Hays are using AI to speculatively contact anyone whose name they can trawl from LinkedIn. This disgraceful practice tells you everything you need to know about these charlatans.

Very unprofessional. I was contacted about a job , been sent a link to upload right to work in the UK and have been told I would be contacted after documents were uploaded to arrange an interview. Never heard a word back, a week later I've sent an e-mail asking for an update, still no reply after a month. Incredibly rude for a company to ghost and not have the decency to at least say they went for a different candidate. Will let everyone know not to have anything to do with this "company" .

Miss Phoebe Miller at Hays education agency was terribly rude. She hanged up the phone on me.

Tried to get a job at Hays, the process dragged on for 6 weeks with multiple stages. In the end I had to chase them up to find out they decided to hire other people. Could've gave me closure weeks earlier. Their excuse for lack of communication was that it was holiday season at the company. Seems like a very unprofessional company, I'm not even surprised by all the bad reviews from their clients.

Hays contacted me about a job at a company I am already familiar with. They told me the location of the office, where that company doesn't even have an office their offices are nowhere near that location. The consultant called me (i was on a call already) then emailed, then told me they can't assess if i'm suitable for the role if they don't talk to me. They refused to send me a job description, so I have no idea of the role is of interest or suitable to me. The consultants are rude and don't seem to know what they are doing. Too many red flags for me.

Teachers beware stay clear of this agency, there are other much better out there.
They have put me off teaching and after speaking to many teachers, they all had same problems surrounding pay pensions.

How does this company still exist?

Have been trying to get in touch with a couple of people for a month or so now, for some reason they are never available to speak and their colleague on the phone takes a message for a call back which never comes.

Amazed they are still in business

WhatsApp messaged me twice, two different people, completely out of the blue. Ambiguous reasons for contacting. "have a proposal for me" I'm sorry what? I had to Google who they were because I'd never given my information to these people.

Calls out of the blue as I have never registered with them - They go under disguise on whatsapp as another name- when they message you asking if you are looking for work

I’ve been with Hays for just over two months and my experience with hays has been diabolical. The lack of gdpr, incompetence, and basic customer service skills is appalling. Getting a new job shouldn’t be as stressful and the processes at Hays are absolutely ridiculous, seriously I’m unsure on how this company is still standing!!!

I advise all to look for an alternative recruitment agency

Matched really well for a job - recruiter was very positive - said he'd call me back - nothing. Rang multiple times with no call back. I don't quite understand their ethic - its a people business and these recruiters seem to think that gaslighting people is the way forward .. and they contacted me about the role. Feel sorry for the company that they are recruiting for hope they get better service than they are giving candidates. Hays if you are listening which you probably are not - buck up your ideas - your nothing without the people you are placing !!

Really bad company with racist hiring policies. AVOID joining this recruitment company at all costs!!!

Please do not waste your time!

If anyone needs a job check reviews and comments before joining the agency that's what I regret not doing, I didn't do my research before joining with Hays.

I was hired via Hays for a receptionist job with Story Homes. I travelled over an hour and half to get to the job, was on time and professional. My supervisor decided she wanted to bodyshame me and send me home. There's nothing wrong with my body, how I look and have been employed by 2 Airlines since (with the strictest uniform and image guidelines, with no issues). Hays showed me no support and didn't even tell me I had been fired, nor did they pay me for my time spent.

Have to keep chasing my wages due to them being terrible at there jobs and can’t even get paperwork correct to be paid on time.. if you rely solely on your wages every week do not use HAYS as you will be severely disappointed. By far one of the worst agency’s I’ve ever worked for STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE JOKERS
