If i could id give this 0 stars some shows dont have the full episodes for example love island season 10 they bring out 14 episode .. the season is done and to top it off it aired in june and its September.. and you still cant load all of them ?! You do this will alot of episodes even vanderpump

The WORST streaming service EVER

The WORST streaming service EVER . I recently realized that I was getting charged twice a month for the service , cancelled…. And continued to get charged twice a month . This went on for a year . Half the time I could not even watch any shows as the service is horrible. Constantly telling me my subscription has expired and locking me out .. all the while charging me DOUBLE every month . And good luck reaching anyone in customer service. Absolutely brutal

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish.
It’s such ashame because their content is great.
Offers the ability to download up to 25 programmes to watch offline.
I managed to download 25 once, in 2020. The most I’ve even able to download now is 1-5.
When I was able to download these 5 programs, I was wanting to watch them on a flight. 1 worked perfectly, the other 4 gave me the error I am only too familiar with ‘Oops, something went wrong’
That message is inaccurate, it really should say ‘Ooops something is always wrong’
When you email them they send you a canned response to delete the app and re download it.
I shouldn’t have to do that, it’s 2023!

The app is absolutely useless and nonfunctional.. the customer service is absolutely useless and nonfunctional.. how are they still in business?? Give the licence to someone competent so we can enjoy the shows we love without dealing with your terrible business

Doesn’t honour cancellation period. I cancelled my subscription and for some reason the cancellation didn’t go through. Obviously I hadn’t been using Hayu because there’s nothing good on there to watch. I then get a random charge, go on the account and see that it says the subscription is still active. I asked them to refund it as I do not use Hayu at all and it was supposed to be cancelled a month prior and I have no idea why it was active again. They said no. So my money is wasted because there’s nothing good to watch on Hayu so I don’t use it at all. Other companies are way more accommodating than this. Hayu is a bad company.

It’s better to ask what isn’t wrong with Hayu cause it’s far and few between. If it wasn’t for the shows on it, I would have cancelled my subscription a long time ago. Not only do their apps not work on TV platforms more than half the time (Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chrome Cast, Roku, etc.) making me have to constantly cast from my phone to watch anything. But the phone app glitches so much that everytime I pause a show I have to uncast, force quit the app on my phone AND the TV, and start the process over to find the show I left off on and recast. Not only that, but the app itself doesn’t keep track of where you left off so you’re constantly starting episodes you’ve already watched because it does a horrible job of keeping track of the last episode you watched. Lastly, I’ve reported all these issues to Hayu’s customer service several times, with photos/videos to prove how awful their app is and IF they respond (typically 1/5 times), they ask you to try a solution you’ve already told them you tried in a previous email. They have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced as they haven’t responded to my last 3 emails and it sucks to pay for an app you can’t use half the time. Once I finish my current shows up, I will be cancelling this service because the hassle and stress is not worth it.

Total waste of time!

I just spent over an hour subscribing to a week's free trial of Hayu plus Now TV. Just wanted to see if Succession was worth watching. Didnt get to see any of it. I was constantly requested to subscribe to paid membership for both Hayu and Now. Have cancelled both free trials and hope I dont hear from them ever again. Total waste of my time. We should be able to charge THEM.

Charged after cancelled free trial

Charged me and tried to tell me that I didn’t cancel my free trial in time. I sent a screenshot of the cancelled subscription from my iPhone. No response regarding my refund request just got an automated email saying my subscription has been cancelled with hayu.

Amazon account hacked by Hayu

Just had an email from Amazon subscribing me to Hayu. Never heard of it. Unsubscribed immediately. Very poor practice. Have changed my Amazon password too as a log in from an area I don't live in. How did these people gain access to my Amazon account?

Where do I start

Where do I start? If it wasn't for the great shows, I would have my subscription cancelled long ago. Because the service was new, I assumed the issues was temporary and would be worked on, but technical issues continue and those behind the app is doing all it can to make the service worse.
Firstly, it's never guaranteed that the show you have selected will play or download onto the app. (Example: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 1 will not download)
When you binge a series, it doesn't always remember where you left off. You have to go through the list to see which was played to pick up again. But, if you're rewatching a show, it's impossible to identify where you left off as they are all marked as watched.
There is an auto play feature, so when you're watching a series, it continues to the next episode. But, when you're all caught up on a series, it randomly plays a random series that you have not interest in. Then because you've technically started that show, it's then stays on your Continue Watching list. I'm sick of Denise Richards own show automatically starting. Stop forcing it on me!!!!!
So, the people behind the service are doing their best to make it the worst out there. A service we are paying for and we have to sit through atleast a 30 second ad before the show starts with no skip option. Even youtube let's us skip ads after 5 seconds. This isn't acceptable at all.
The TV app, now has a huge Hayu logo on the top right corner. OK, we get it, we are watching Hayu. It's a service we are paying for so we don't need to be reminded of it all the way through an episode.
Giving 1 star just because of the shows but 0 stars based on the actual service.

Worst UX for an app

Worst UX for an app, and has the worst performance of all streaming apps I have tried. Hayu is lucky to have good shows or else they would be out of business. Although I often stop watching cause I get so frustrated with the app. Bravo should move all shows to another platform.

Half the time app doesn’t save which…

Half the time app doesn’t save which episode I left on last. The app on tv has a tendency of not working. Usually shows a message saying app is unavailable, have to wait a day or two till it starts working again or open through browser to watch like that. Consider this is a paid service I find the quality of it insulting. The idea of Hayu is great, shame they couldn’t execute it properly
