Terrible app!! Terrible subtitles.

Terrible app for Chromecast. Take an example from the Netflix app. WAY WAY BETTER. And what about the terrible subtitles in Dutch? Full of errors! Fire your man who does the subtitles!! We pay too much money for all this crap.

Glittchy

I got HBO through the Disney bundle

I got HBO through the Disney bundle, but instead of automatically recognizing I already had a subscription under roku. They chose to quietly send me and email, and continue charging me for both subscriptions. No wonder rating is so low.

Good for those who want very specific content

Good value at the intro price. Started my sub to watch The Last of Us which I enjoyed. After that... if you're a fan of HBO exclusives (GoT or one if its offshoots) then its probably worth the price. Never had an issue with streaming quality or buffering (PS5 and Firestick apps).

There acting like a smalltime scamming company, f-ing shameful whats become of the HBO brand known for quality. Now turned into cashcow!
Im all for making money but have some class, ur acting like a Prince John, who dosent care if u mske people hate you just for that extra quarter...

paying 11€ per month to get 3-6 ads of…

paying 11€ per month to get 3-6 ads of 20 seconds per ad jammed down your throat every 12-15 minutes doing a movie, thats gonna be a long ass fkn movie when its over 2h long. DON'T subscribe here. its waste of money. Primevideo is the better choice, not only is it half price, its completely adfree, except for sometimes you get 1 ad at the start of a movie, rarely that is.

Makes it impossible to cancel

I have been trying to cancel my subscription for an hour now. When I go to settings > subscription, it gives me no option to cancel even though I am positive I’m billed through HBO. I’ve navigated through the whole website trying to figure this out. Now my only option is to cancel my card. I want to speak to a real person

If it was possible to enter zero stars, I would. And I will anyway zero, zed, nada, no stars the most riduculous circle of non communication ever. Terrible. I hope they read my review and realize that all I was trying to do was insure I was not on autorenew. And since Netflix already owns them, why would anyone try to commuicate with something that doesn't exist. So speak the truth sometimes. and the major victims of your sh-t are the actors that are amazing and have more love, compassion and caring than you moguls. love rules!

Cannot switch to german dubbing.

Options to switch to german dubbing simply do not appear, not even the english subtitles do. Very infuriating that I pay you and you can't even get basic settings to work.

I'm paying for HBO Max but I am being…charged to watch endless commercials

I'm paying for HBO Max but I am being bombarded with commercials while trying to watch a movie that I'm paying a monthly fee for. Same as Amazon Prime. These media corporations that it's Okay to rake in the cash from their clients and at the same time rake in the cash from vendors commercials. I am fed up with having to watch commercial after commercial while the likes of cable companies and TV, Paramount, keep getting richer off the backs of the consumer.

The ads are so stupid, ESPECIALLY for live sports. The commentary is ongoing and hbo max just shoves ads in my face OR, somehow even worse, switches me to an entirely different sports stream without me touching the remote. WHY!
