Max ads are too much…

Max streaming app is ridiculous with the commercials, you shouldn't have to pay extra for no ads, when you add it to your cable plan there is no ads, why should it be different when you stream it.

This company should be forbidden to…

This company should be forbidden to operate in Portugal. I bought an HBO subscription and realized that with the basic plan you cannot make any downloads. So I bought the standard plan (antigo) like it was shown in my Apple account. But turns out you still cannot download anything. After complaining and waiting in line forever with their customer service they told me that I have to contact the payment provider because the can’t do anything about it, and moreover, that their computer will be blocked soon so that they have to leave the chat. What a joke!

Bad quality playback

Bad quality playback and it's not even possible to report a problem in a simple way, I had to go through a convoluted support loop. Plus, even though I kept repeating myself that I just want to report and I already tried everything, they still kept suggesting basic troubleshooting steps.

For information, I have 1 Gb/s bandwidth that I measured right after I experienced the bad playback.

HBO MAX

I bought the no ads version of the Disney+ Hulu and HBO Max bundle. I tried for two hours to get that on my tv but only Hulu and Disney+ would work. I AM NOT HAPPY!

Soo much adds... I was watvhing Rick and Morty and no kidding, after 5.50min I got 4 adds of 30 seconds. If it were free then I could understand but I payed for this.. I payed to still receive adds. What a scam.

Needs a best app

The player doesn't rewind or fast forward properly. Most titles don't offer English subtitles or dubbing unless English is official language of country. I really wish they would invest in their app instead of just continuing to change their logo.

I’m a very long term Foxtell subscription holder and this new service has been forced on us. It is total crap with a library of old and decrepit programmes and films, heavily advertised loading and compared to all other platform the download resolution is like I have advanced cataract disease.

HBOMax app update ruined service

HBOMax forced an update of the app and ruined my service. It all was working fine & I actually love the shows & variety. But, when you force an update & ruin everything, you really make me mad. Approx 4hrs have been wasted today trying to get the stupid app update. I am a longtime HBO subscriber, on regular cable. The app comes for free w/your subscription. This is exactly why I hate anything computerized re:TV. I am a lone hold-out in a digital world. I can watch Gilded Age Sun. But you just had to put And Just Like That on your stupid app. I'm almost hating you enough to just drop it all. I don't need this drama in my life. I'm 25+ yrs in with you and this show. You just had to put it on your stupid app and now your stupid upgrade for your stupid app doesn't work! Thank God Hacks has already wrapped. HBOMax your upgrade and your app suck! Total bastards!

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish. Freezes all streaming, won’t load anything, force stop does nothing, clear cache and data does nothing. So much for being able to relax and watch tv after work, utter disgrace of an app. It doesn’t take much googling to see that this is not an uncommon problem either. Nowhere near worth the money.

I pay for HBO Max through my…

I pay for HBO Max through my subscription with Xfinity. Each time I attempt to watch a program I have to scan the QR code, give my email and password and most times this doesn't work. Last night I spent over a half hour on the phone with MAX and I still could not get connected. There is no point in including this with my HBO service if I can never watch it. There procedures and customer service are the worst. Netflix, Prime, Paramount - none of these services make you jump through all these ridiculous hoops to watch a program you have already paid for. They should be ashamed.

Having been a victim of credit card…

Having been a victim of credit card fraud, it took a few days to get the situation sorted with the bank and receiving a new card. Within hours, HBO/MAX blocked access to watching any programs while not providing any sort of communication or explanation. Having spent hours trying to get the situation resolved, the entire evening going into the next day was ruined having had guests. MAX. YOU'VE GOT YOUR CUSTOMER'S EMAIL ADDRESSES. STRIVE TO BE MORE LIKE NETFLIX BY SENDING A MESSAGE TO HELP CORRECT A PAYMENT METHOD AND MAKE THAT PROCESS EASY TO ACCESS ON ONE'S ACCOUNT. INSTEAD, THE CUSTOMER IS CUT OFF WITH NO EXPLANATION. UNACCEPTABLE! HORRIBLE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY DISAPPOINTING.
