It was very pleasant and informative

Nigel was amazing from start to finish and his communication was outstanding. The folk who came to do the installation were friendly, polite and tidy. All were incredibly patient when it came to the first aborted installation when it transpired that we needed a whole new roof! The installation was meshed with the roofers so we didn't need a second set of scaffolding. Thoroughly professional throughout and we are super happy looking at our graphs of energy generated!

Had 32 panels installed over 2 days in June 2025. Had an extra one added at no additional expense!
All dealings with the company have been in a professional and friendly manner. Any issues dealt with promptly and quickly resolved.

Two men worked diligently over the installation and were cheerful and informative during their time with us.

Would certainly recommend this company without hesitation.

From initial phone call to completion the experience has been nothing but 5 stars. Nigel took me through the process, system design, installation and commissioning in clear and simple terms. I’d already made the decision I wanted solar panels and battery so was just choosing the right supplier. From initial conversation to installation to generating my own solar power completed in a matter of weeks. A very professional service, highly responsive to questions at all times of the day, night and even weekends. There were issues with the scaffolding company not doing exactly what they said they would (not unsurprisingly in my experience) but Nigel and the team sorted that out too. I would highly recommend to anyone considering solar… and indeed have already recommended them to my friends ! 👍

Having decided after much research that we would try and maximise the solar potential of our roof. Nigel’s explanation and knowledge surpassed my expectation’s. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. The planning, drone survey and installation all occurred seamlessly. All be it that the scaffolders were a law unto themselves. We were generating electricity from the moment it was commissioned and are highly delighted.

Nigel is an excellent educator - with many years working in the solar industry he explains everything so clearly in no nonsense fashion, which helps you to make your own decision. His communication and response to my questions were always super fast and comprehensive. Unfortunately for me I live in a conservation area with an additional condition on dwelling consent in my deeds so I was unable to go ahead without a full planning application which I wasn't prepared to take the gamble on it getting approved. Nigel refunded my deposit in full within minutes of me letting him know. So if you in a position to install solar - given HCE a call. You have nothing to lose.

Nigel came to our house and explained fully about Solar Panels, what they would do for us. He showed us how he worked out what we needed and was happy to go through again anything we weren’t sure about. He’s very easy to talk to if you have any questions and always calls you back. His team of guys are very professional and helpful, everything is left clean and tidy. We are now making money from the surplus electricity that goes to the grid which is a win win. Can’t rate Nigel highly enough, lovely man who’s genuinely sincere about all he tells you.

Nigel was very informative and very responsive with our queries online. He gives updates without even asking. Price is of great value as compared to other larger scale installers who offer less but is pricier. Installation process was seamless apart from scaffolding guys who dont stick to plan.

We are really pleased with the advice given by Nigel and see that it has delivered a system that optimises the benefit of the panels and batteries we have space for. Marked down from 5 to 4 stars due to minor hitches during installation that should have been foreseen at the survey. Luckily we were able to rectify these ourselves and it did not impact detrimentally on the installation. We were disappointed in the time it took for the distribution network operator to approve the system for payment for surplus electricity. But recognise this was outside the control of the supplier. Better expectation management would have been helpful however. In all we would not hesitate to recommend Nigel to anyone considering a solar installation and believe he must be one of the top suppliers in the country luckily for us in finding him.

From the initial conversation through to commissioning and handover, Nigel and the team were polite, professional and engaging, ensuring the job was completed within the timeframe agreed.

Very professional team throughout the process, scaffolding erected, PV system installed and scaffolding dismantled all in the space of 5 days. The system design meets our needs perfectly and we have already noticed a reduction in electric power from the grid as our system is perfectly meeting our supply needs.

End to end the experience with Home Comfort and Nigel was good - though not without its bumps. And the reason I can come and make this positive review is because of those bumps and the fact that each one was navigated. Nigel was as good as his word, bent over backwards to make sure things happened and that it was all a positive outcome - from dealing with scaffolders, to moving dates, to a component that needed replacing. If you are considering a solar system, then stop looking and use Home Comfort.
