Rating in minus. Worst worst worst service from Shivaraj Koliwad HDFC davangere branch.
Request people not to believe these bank employees as they explain about their bank services as they are giving money from there pocket.
Looting the common people money to increase there salary.

Poor Service Experience with HDFC

I have a current account in HDFC, It was opened 3 weeks back. Since then I have been struglig to get financial rights. We clearly gave instructions to branch people and have already give request form again, all they say is please wait for few more days we are Sorry.

3 weeks to get access to your current account. Poorest service experience I ever had.

hdfc bank ltd

Extremely disappointed with the unethical behavior of HDFC Bank’s Sarita Vihar branch.
My salary account was converted to a Premium Account without my consent, and unauthorized charges were deducted. When questioned, the Branch Head claimed the reversal was done as a favor. Reversing a wrong charge is not a favor — it’s the bank’s duty. I demand proof of my consent and a written explanation for this misconduct. If not resolved within 72 hours, I will escalate this to the RBI and Consumer Forum. I don’t need goodwill reversals — I need accountability and transparency.

Very pathetic service for my current…

Very pathetic service for my current account opening in the Ponda, upper bazaar branch , Goa. Team totally inexperienced to handle even the basic documentation for account opening process. Multiple errors in basic account opening.

Customer's interests come last to these people!

This bank has overconfidence that it is the largest private bank in India and labelled as 'too big to fail'. They know customers will trust them with their money because of the size. That has made them very negligent towards customers. First of all, they only want to upsell insurance policies. I went to a local branch because my FD was getting auto renewed. This guy there is sitting with trophies received from Aditya Birla insurance and he's trying to sell me policies. I am sitting at the bank trying to give the bank my FD money and this guy wants to send it out to Aditya Birla insurance. I am SHOCKED. Is he an employee of the bank or an insurance agent? no wonder banks are struggling to get deposits.
And don't even get me started on their spam calls. Every day 10 calls asking for personal loans and cards. No point complaining. The bank says they are third party agencies calling and wash their hands off. Now why are these third parties calling? Because of the commission offered by the bank, right? Stop those stupid commissions and the spam calls will stop. But the bank won't do this.

Hdfc bank is not user friendly

Hdfc bank is not user friendly. They could not help in making an international transfer just to malaysia another asian country after all. The bank employees say that international transactions are taken care by exclusive team for that. But that team is super useless. And finally I did through another indian bank account. What is so special about hdfc then?

Hdfc deduct charges as if their…

Hdfc deduct charges as if their father's own property that we took as deposits for saving and current account. They took almost 5 lacs inr in the last 3 years putting all sort of charges in both saving and current account. Dear customer who ever thought of opening an account on hdfc please save your ass from deducting n number of charges . I am very much pissed with their deduction. Even if you have zero balance also they deduct in minus :) what a shame. I have shifted my account to bank of india and union bank of india. Its still not convenient for me but still no deduction. My money is in safe account now.

Very poor response from the credit card…

Very poor response from the credit card department, especially from Mr. Shaiju. I had a very bad experience with him. I don't understand why the bank employs such irresponsible individuals in this position. This kind of behavior negatively affects the bank's reputation.

Amazing service at HDFC Vastrapur, Ahmedabad branch. Mohit always goes above and beyond to help my need. I have NRE accounts with HDFC and anytime I call or meet in person Mohit is always there to help me for all my banking needs. I really appreciate the help you have provided. You have changed my perception about Indian Banks and made me customer for the life.

Worst possible bank ever!

Worst possible bank ever!! Horrible customer service- over phone and email. Even when I write from my "registered" email, the reply asks me to write from my registered email!! This happens only when I seek help, else, on a daily basis they are using my "registered" email to send hundreds of offers!! Staff is only interested in their commission, if they wish to sell you something they even come home; as soon as the deal is done, the customer faces insulting treatment. Waiting for the day to see the downfall of this bank.

Repeated failed kyc and rude customer care

Dear [Team / Customer Support Manager],

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the repeated issues I have faced while attempting to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process from home. Despite trying four times from Mumbai, the process has not been successful due to reasons beyond my control.

Each time, the call is connected to a representative who speaks in unclear and heavily accented English, making it very difficult to understand. Moreover, the audio quality is extremely poor, which adds to the confusion.

During my most recent attempt, I was asked which city I was calling from, and I clearly said "Mumbai." The representative then asked, "Which mandal?" — a term that is not commonly understood in urban contexts like Mumbai. When I momentarily looked away out of confusion, I was immediately told I had failed the verification because I looked away from the camera.

This is a KYC process, not a high-security visa interview. Even in places like the US Embassy, staff members treat people with courtesy, provide clarity, and ensure the interaction is respectful.

To make matters worse:

The representatives cut the call abruptly while I am still speaking.

They lack basic communication etiquette and customer service training.

Their rude behavior, poor command over English, and use of a fake accent make the process extremely unpleasant and frustrating.

This level of service is not acceptable, especially for something as routine as KYC verification. I strongly urge you to:

Provide better training to your verification agents

Improve audio quality and clarity

Allow grace and understanding during verification

Ensure customers are treated with respect and patience
I hope you take this feedback seriously and implement the necessary improvements.

Very poor service

Very poor service. Inspite of reminders they have stopped online transactions. We are unable to do any transaction for The poly Kids GMS branch account in Dehradun. KYC has been done about a month ago but still bank is unable to make the account normal. Very pathetic service of HDFc GMS branch in Dehradun.

while taking a loan

while taking a loan, the agent never told me that if you close the loan before terms then you have to pay with your money not from bank to bank close, so, after one year when closed the existing loan by taking a loan from another company I ended up paying 30K additional to close the loan. Surprisingly their website also doesnt disclose this anywhere, you will come to know when you go to their loan branch, cheaters

NOT for NRI's

Just like another user said, NRI's should NOT use this bank. I primarily live abroad so I registered my foreign number with the bank. Now I'm in India to visit family and am super frustrated using the app to make ANY payments at all. EVERY d@mn transaction needs to be authorised by and SMS to my foreign number. This means I'll have to keep my firm number roaming in India, paying a lot of money to my network provider. On top of that, half the time the SMS does not arrive. It doesn't provide other ways to approve either. It is incredibly painful. I'm
closing my account today.

Payment debit and card never issued

I purchased a forex card from hdfc through its net banking system. Money was debited to my account post confirmation. However I never received an email or an sms conformation for the service purchased. Which seemed odd for HDFC BANK. On enquiring on the 17th with the help desk I am told that they have forwarded the request to the relevant department and that I would be issued a card within a day. However on the 18th, neither did I receive any call or email regarding the same, so I requested a cancellation for the service. I was told 4 days to a refund. Now we are sitting on the 5 th working day and I am told another 10 days for the refund. This is harresment and uncalled for.... Why would you hold my money for deficiency of service?
