Lack of Responsibly and Accountability at Manager Level.
The services of HDFC staff at higher level I experienced is not upto the mark. Initially they scrutinized the documents and assured me loan would be sanctioned within a week but has taken two and half month. They just put a blame on subordinate or ground level staff for delay. I completely fed up and frustrated till approval and disbursement of loan. Secondly and most importantly they are not transparent in dealing mean to say they do not disclose the actual rate of interest and actual charges you have to pay to sanction the loan. Overall services are not good.

This is not a bank. This is an organized crime disguised as bank. They are SCAMMERS. They are stealing people's money left and right. If you've been a victim or remittance gone wrong and your money has been lost, I highly recommend that you file a complaint with the FBI Cyber Crime. The executives of this bank are criminals. Don't waste your time complaining to them or to the CMS-RBI. The complaint pages online are down. You cannot even file a complaint. If you email them, your email will be rejected by their system. This is a RICO case. It's a CRIME.

After moving to the UAE, I converted my HDFC savings account to NRO/NRE. I requested an address update and clearly explained that I am a housewife on a dependent visa, and hence, I got no address proof in my name. Despite repeated follow-ups, I received no proper response and ended up spending around AED 200- 250 on calling charges. Very poor support and an extremely frustrating experience.

Nuisance at its highest
Such a nuisance these guys are they do not understand what a “No” is. They will just get on your nerves call you every two hours and ask you to take personal loan whereas you haven’t even called for it. I have been an HDFC customer for 15 years, but this is the first time I felt completely abandoned. I became a victim of an online fraud and the moment I realized it, I reported it to HDFC within minutes. I sent multiple emails and even requested them to at least keep the transaction on hold while the case is with RBI Ombudsman and Cybercrime.
But instead of helping, HDFC just kept closing my tickets without proper explanation. No one took accountability, no one guided me, and despite informing them repeatedly, they still allowed the disputed amount to enter my bill.
This has caused me huge stress and sleepless nights. A customer who acted immediately to stop a fraud should not be treated like this. I expected support, not silence. I hope no one else has to go through the same experience. HDFC really needs to change how they support customers in fraud cases.

I'm extremely disappointed with HDFC Bank's service. I've been charged fees without any prior notification or clear explanation. When I checked my account statement, I discovered multiple deductions that I was never informed about.
The way these charges are applied—without notice or consent—feels deliberately designed to take advantage of customers. Many people don't check their statements regularly, and the bank seems to rely on this. This practice is unethical and damages customer trust completely.

One of the worst banks. I regret opening an account here. I called customer service so many times and you can find some extremely rude service. They are very hesitant to even give us the call reference number. Anything you ask, they ll say we cant say that, may be that, may be this... dont know anything for sure. Useless customer service and bank.
