Purchased a Heat n Glo vented fireplace 5 years ago and have never been able to use it due to the horrible fumes from the unit. I believed the narrative at first that is always given about 'burn-off' odors when first using the unit, but when these would not dissipate, we were told to give it time. After much time and no resolution of the horrible odor despite following all directions, including regular cleaning, we are left with a worthless, yet very expensive prop that is unusable. We have had the venting checked by outside companies who found no abnormalities and we are left to conclude that the unit has been faulty all along. My word to anyone considering a Heat n Glo, is to either stop considering one or believe your senses and force a resolution of it early, unlike what I did.

We bought an $8,000 fireplace and installed it in September of 2024. The remote controller failed after 3 months and the manufacturer wouldn't help us, instead they referred us to their local dealers. The dealer we bought from had already gone out of business and the other local dealers in the Denver area refused to help because we hadn't bought from them. The product quality and customer service is terrible. I would not recommend buying anything from this company.
