Heinz is the only person that actually understands my hair - I never know how I want it cut but he's a man of such style that I simply have to turn up at his lovely salon, and after no time in his graceful company my hair ends up just as I would like. It's always a pleasure to see him and I look forward to my South Kensington visits every time. Thanks as always Heinz.

This man is an absolute wizard with hair, he understands hair so well and this shows. I have always left with a great haircut and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Heinz Schumi is a genius. One arrives feeling a bit jaded but within minutes, without fuss, he has you looking a million dollars, the natural attractive person most of us want to be. His genius is in accurately spotting the unique quality of each individual’s natural look and then supporting it with the most flattering style and cut. You can trust him to have you looking your best!

Heinz has cut my hair for about 25 years and his precision cuts are timeless! I always come back to Heinz because I know my style will grow out well and look like it was cut yesterday. He will always try and fit me in when I call last minute - which is often! He has a talented and friendly team too.

Heinz got that quite rare and extraordinary ability to lift ones spirit, while stilyng hair; he simply clear your toughts while doing so, for days ahead. Jolly good haircut, simply the best, so far. Master never disappoints. Approved by the ladies as soon as I step out. Winter blues gone, ready for the Spring. Will come again soon, definitely!

Genius of Hair. As a millennial who has tried her share of hair salons, Heinz is definitely at the top. I was referred to him by my boyfriend who had (I must say) the best hair cut he's ever had. Heinz makes you feel at home, part of the family; and he effortlessly gives the best hair cut and style. Heinz Schumli has been cutting and curing my hair problems for over forty eight years: having gone from very (almost sit-on-able) long dark locks, to the sharpest grey bob around.

Adaptable and never insistent, my life (and I live most of the time in Scotland) would be hell without him. I organise my visits to London and his new salon around my appointments with him.

The Schumi provide a first rate service which includes enlightened commentary on world affairs and politics, and the politics of the day. However, should you not be interested in having an update on current affairs from Heinz, he will keep a tactful silence while he cuts your hair beautifully. He has cut my hair and been my friend for the past 24 years. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

The salon in which the Schumi brothers operate is a peaceful oasis just across from South Kensington tube station and is therefore not only a quiet haven, but also easily accessible.

Heinz is a master in the art of turning something as seemingly mundane as a man's haircut into a highly enjoyable experience. The meticulous attention to the little details is a matter of course; the pleasant conversation, his knowledge of the art world and interesting views on all sorts of topics is something to be savoured. Highly recommended as an antidote to the bland barber business. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Schumi has been cutting my hair for a long time - he is absolutely fantastic and I wouldnt go anywhere else. He understands what people want and is able to follow through with fantastic results. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a top class cut, style and blow-dry from a true master - with very amenable company and conversation thrown in - go nowhere else. Heinz has looked after my hair for a long time and I have always left the salon feeling as if I'm walking on air. He is happy to make suggestions - or to follow your instructions. If you want highlights both Natalie and Linda do a terrific job. And the attractive South Kensington location could hardly be better or more convenient. Alison Williams

I had my hair coloured, trimmed and restyled this morning for a special New Year's Day luncheon tomorrow. Before my salon visit today, my hair was so untidy and uncontrollable. Now, I feel like a million dollars.

Heinz isn't simply the best hairdresser I've ever had but he's also the most engaging, engaged and informative one about the world at large I've ever had. And a wonderful, warm, generous man to boot who makes one's visits always a pleasure.

Fantastic colour and cut! Would recommend Linda for colour and Heinz for cut.

Great location in beautiful salon conveniently located opposite South Kensington tube station in pedestrian street. Fab Art/Design/Museum area and Schumi salon suits the area.

Everyone is very friendly, and they never snip too much off your locks like some places... 🙂
