Account required to listen

Account required to listen, for no good reason.

Their website says "this helps us provide the BEST listening experience". Yeah, sure...
Nothing to do with collecting users' interests etc to perhaps make more money from adverts that can then be tailored to the individual.

Humorously I can listen to foreign stations from Germany, Netherlands etc without an account.

The UK radio industry is really in a sorry state of affairs, maybe chasing profit above all else?
