Heartless Helloworld

Booked holiday for 2020 but had to cancel because of Covid. Eventually received refunds however, before we received our money the agent deducted what she considered a fair penalty without any consultation. This agency has now shut their doors for good, nice one Helloworld.

SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

Do not bother with this company. I had a flight from March 2020 cancelled and finally got 20% refund in December 2020. Rebooked to try and get back to Australia, this flight was also cancelled went from a credit to a refund. Was quoted a price of my refund which was less than what I originally paid. Was told it would take 90-120 days, I finally received the refund this month after applying for it in June of 2020. The refund amount was less than what I was quoted. Their excuse was that they shouldn't confirm a refund amount until they received the money, which for me means that are not refunding their fees, even though the flight was cancelled. I'm living overseas at the moment and trying to get in contact with the Eastgardens branch was hell. I ended up having to send my parents in as it was months of chasing them up trying to figure out what was happening with my flights home and then refund. Book yourself or with another agency! Horrible customer service, waste of money and time!

Usually I am not type of guy who write reviews, but after my experience with Helloworld Murgeshplaya,, My humble request to everyone to DO NOT prefer this place, I have stayed there for more than a year, I have paid my rent for 4 months (which is 9 K)in Covid pandemic even though I am not staying there, I was there in my Home town. When I finally decided to move out permanently, They have not paid my token deposit which 9 K again. after enormous email threads I have received 478 rs from my 9K. This happened almost everyone, For your belief I am attaching docs for you . I have vacated on August 1, I have received amount on November. Since I am far away from Bangalore, I cannot do more than this review

I had worst experience in Hello world

I had worst experience in Hello world. The workers and customer care people won't respond as in good manner
at the timing of joining they will take deposit on time but when we vacate they won't refund it on time if we consult them through Call they will say please contact customer care and if we contact them every time they will respond as by saying we raised a ticket and work is in progress. Its almost two moths till now i haven't received my refund and the workers are also Rude. I suggest don't go for it as its price is very high and no good service will be provide for you. once of the worst organization. I had very bad experience with this organization.

Avoid Helloworld Travel Norwood, Adelaide SA

Abusive, bullying and intimidating customer service by the owner himself. Promised a full refund but when I tried to make good on this promise Would not process my refund unless I agreed to $1500 in cancellation fees for a service that could not be provided because of the international travel bans. Tried to discuss “frustrated contract” with the advice from Consumer and Business Services resulted In being banned from phone contact the next day. Deliberately delayed and misled me. Taking full advantage of COVID-19 pandemic and will not give our money back. Ignored every opportunity to resolve the matter even after involving several managers from head office. Owner does not care about his customers or his travel agency reputation at all.

Never again

Booked a scandanavian tour with hello world Melton who they used Ben tours. Paid cash. Ben tours went under and I had to repay all accommodation and transfers. They will not refund me any extra cost that I had endured and I even went to the business manager and was told I'm sorry that there is no positive result in the matter. Others who booked similar trips through other helloworld travel stores either got reimbursed or transferred to another tour operator at no cost. Will not use again!!!

Booked travel through Helloworld who used Bentours for different parts of the tour. Bentours now in receivership here we are mid trip having to fund all of the costs again. Helloworld we paid you yet now have to pay all over again so far $4000 and more to come you should be covering this not us. Other travellers advise their agencies covering them. Not good!

The worst travel agent ever

Booked my business trip to a conference and vacation with my wife to Florida in May 2018 through Helloworld Newcastle. The travel agent made a mess with my travel arrangements. We were supposed to board our return flight from Miami, and he had booked from Orlando instead. I did not notice this at first as I believed he would have followed my instructions, but when I picked it up after a few days, Helloworld asked for some 540 dollars to change the flight (it was their mistake). I requested special meals for both me and my wife, and my requested had been processed only for my wife so I did not receive my vegetarian meal as requested during this flight. It was very difficult during a 16 hour flight. Likewise, he booked the hotel and knowing we were travelling together booked a Queen room for two of us with breakfast for only one person. Just unbelievable what a nightmare it was with these people.

Terrible service.

Went into helloworld at Southport to get info on flights and accommodation to Thailand. After a wait was served by a woman that didn't really want to help us at all.left with no flight info or prices, and a small list of accommodation over there. Went around to escape travel and they could not do more for us. Going into today to book our holiday with escape travel.

Helloworld web site charges for unconfirmed flights multiple times

Today I attempted to book two international round trips on line. After completing payment details and hitting Confirm a pop up window on the next page advised there was a problem with my payment, and to return to the previous page. I did this, filling in my credit card details again, only to get the same message. After one more attempt, fearing I might have been charged, I called my bank, who advised that my credit card had been charged three times. I then called Helloworld who said they had no record of any booking or charges against my name, initially suggesting the problem was with my card, and sent me a form to send to my bank that my bank has since advised is useless. After several hours of wasted time, I have no booking and have to go through the lengthy process of getting funds reimbursed. I will not be using Helloworld again.

Helloworld.com.au Suspend flight without explanation or refund

I booked a return ticket from Melbourne to Ireland costing $2200 as it was Christmas time. In the return leg I had a 5 day trip planned for Malaysia for which I had hotels, Internal flight etc booked.

When I arrived at the airport for the return leg I was informed by a member of the Aer Lingus check-in staff that there was an issue with the ticket- ie it had been suspended. I was at the check-in desk at 07:10 for a 09:40 flight. She then took me aside with the relevant flight details and put me on the phone(landline) to KLM. KLM then informed me that the flight had been suspended by the agent (Helloworld) and advised me to contact them.

I contacted Helloworld who could not give me any information other than that I needed to contact the airline KLM. I told them I had already done this and I was put on hold until I was cut off. I tried to call again but at this stage and because of the time difference the office was closed although it made absolutely no difference as my flight had already left at this stage. All I could do at this stage was go back to where I was staying and wait for Helloworld to open and try and get on the next flight. After 2 days of being systematically being put on hold and cut off I was finally told there was a problem with the transaction - after this I was again put on hold and again cut off. The managers name was Marcell.

I called my bank (Commonwealth Bank of Australia) who informed me that the money had been debited from my account on the 18/08/2016 and that there was not any issue with the transaction on there end.

At this stage my 5 day trip in Malaysia- internal flight and accommodation were all expiring/expired and needing to get back to Austarlia for work I had to bite the bullet and re-order a new flight out of my own pocket.

The way I was treated without any answers as to why my flights were cancelled was completely unacceptable and luckily enough I was actually in my home country otherwise it would have been a lot more traumatic. At this stage I still have no Idea why my flights were cancelled especially as the first leg of the journey was honored.

Helloworld are now expecting me to contact KLM to try and make a claim against them even though I have not given KLM any money directly. Helloworld have also told me that when they rang KLM to find out what happened they were informed by KLM that I was a no show. There will be a ticket in their system to contradict this as I was on the phone to them immediately after the issue was highlighted to me in Dublin. The last email I sent to KLM was asking for their terms and conditions and privacy statement (as the link on the original email does not work anymore) to which I got no reply.

I will never ever use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone

liars

this company was told about change of dates for my flight from changsha china to brisbane but did not inform me. as a result i lost 1 days work which cost me $160.00. my friend on the same flight was not informed either they first said the email could not be sent then said that they had sent it. we had to spend an extra night in china , so the australian government cancelled my health care card for being out the country to long.i asked hello world to resend the email but you know the answer to that.

Ripped off!!

I am an older guy, money is tight.I travel to Perth to visit my son.I was taken in by a Helloworld eofy sale of flights return for about $380.As a regular traveller I get flights for around $400 Return!! So I was excited to travel on Qantas through Helloworld.
I didnt check the details after booking, naive, stupid, yes I now agree.
Imagine my shock and upset when a few weeks later my credit card statement read $660!! I would never have paid that! why would I? What sort of eofy sale is more than 50% Higher?
I called Helloworld and was fobbed off, told I could email if I liked!
Its obvious I was fooled by the advertising,no one would knowingly pay 50%more in a 24 hour eofy sale .Its absurd!
I will never deal with helloworld again and tell everyone I can .
You should be ashamed of yourselves! Its appalling to con people like that!Alan Lee
