Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money, they do not help soldiers or ex soldiers in need, they only help themselves, I am an ex serving soldier of 24 years, I needed help and all they offered was a chat!!! I was in a bad car crash and needed assistance. They didn’t help, I will never donate!!! Wear your medals 🏅 with pride you earned them.
I've been a supporter for many years…
I've been a supporter for many years and made purchases from thier site. Today I had an email asking for 68 quid to help a veteran receive an hours counciling. Absolutely agree our veterans need this support...but what world are they in. How many families have a spare 68 quid. I have emailed and said as much
Just another charity industry self-feeding train
Volunteered for their ‘Tesco collection weekend’ and told would be getting all necessary support. Store knew nothing about this, HFH staff would only give waffle and not answer any specific queries or questions, relying only on a letter they had from Tesco in April agreeing to the collection. They had a FB page ‘for help and support’ which was only volunteers trying to help each other (blind leading the blind). HFH BLOCKED any posts they did not like (basically complaints for lack of support as well as those seeking advice on what to do when they received unsolicited parcels from HFH). HFH sent out parcels with merchandising that volunteers had to account for and, whatever they did not ‘sell’, would have to return at their own cost. These parcels came without warning or request! Adding insult to injury, the HFH staff claim the moral high ground here, like they are doing the volunteers a favour, and conveniently ignoring the fact that most of the income goes to their wages! Unfortunately, just another charity industry self-feeding gravy train
Not there for veterans
So I'm currently struggling financially having just my military pension to live off after being medically discharged, I reached out to this "charity" in the hope they could help only to be bluntly told by email that they don't think im struggling and to contact other forces charities instead. Seriously? They spend 8 million pounds a year on staff salaries alone! 8 MILLION POUNDS!!! thats donations that should be helping veterans like me but they couldn't even offer me a £20 food voucher, its obvious they do the bare minimum required to still be able to call themselves a "charity" they only help those that make good stories for their social media. They should be ashamed of themselves, I reached out to a REAL veterans charity that said I needed help straight away and proceeded to help me. Help for heroes? More like help themselves to your donations
Spambombed reputedly. After purchasing from them i got put on…
After purchasing from them i got put on the email mailing list. unfortunately this was my work email that i am not allowed to use for this purpose .I have contacted them twice to remove me from the mailing list. And nothing I am still getting spambombed by them weeks after asking to be removed.
Don't sign up for emails they are constant ,persistent and don't remove you even when asked repeatedly.
As a veteran I along with many others…
As a veteran I along with many others supported this charity in the beginning but so many cases of genuine veterans needing house modifications and new wheel chairs only to be refused when their sitting on 24million plus of donations is truly scandalous. Support the smaller charities believe me your money will go where it’s needed
Helping Our Heroes.
I've bought some clothes and bathroom products from this website.
The price and quality of products provided are great.
Delivery was fast and I'd like to thank Victor who packed my package because everything arrived in great condition.
100% of the profits goes towards helping our heroes and I think that's amazing.
Most charities don't even give 10% to the causes they support.
Thank you
