Absolutely delighted with my table from H&W
Absolutely delighted with my table from Hemming & Wills. I had a specific requirement for a table that would extend but didn't lose it's rustic charm and they talked me through the options and couldn't do enough to help me! Great communication throughout, delivered on time and the delivery guys put the table together for me so the experience was stress free from start to finish! The after care service has been equally as good with information on how to care for my table and any queries I have had have been answered by the Customer Care team quickly. I can't recommend Hemming & Wills highly enough - what a great small business who really care!

Excellent customer service
We ordered a reclaimed wood dining table that we needed to be slightly narrower that standard. This was not a problem for team and the table was made at no extra cost.
When the table was delivered a few weeks later, there was a small crack that we didn't notice at first. As we did, Zarc from the Care team told us to monitor it and send pictures. After 2 months, the crack had become big and thus the table top was exchanged.
Absolutely brilliant customer service, I never experienced anything like it before. Thank you Zarc and H&W team.

Amazing table, amazing customer service!
I cannot say how pleased I am with the team at Hemming and Wills. I was worried about ordering a table online without being able to see and feel it but we are absolutely thrilled with the reclaimed wood in ‘driftwood’. It has the most beautiful natural finish and smell and the colour is perfect for our space. They also went above and beyond to make sure we had the table for Christmas, despite the fact that I made a mistake when ordering which means it should have arrived end Jan. Thank you so much Danielle and team, you are a brilliant lot!

Absolutely dreadful service from start to finish, unfortunately.
Table came in August - it was filthy and wrong size. After copious amounts of back and forth over email due to not being able to get hold of anyone via phone, we arranged for a replacement, which was delayed numerous times (problems your end, not ours) and then when it did arrive, came without the legs. Have finally received the legs today, a massive four months after we had our original delivery. Customer service has been slow and poor throughout. The actual table and chairs we have now is lovely, but the effort we have had to go through and problems we have endured along the way have put us off ever using your company again.
I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone -
One headache after another. Happy for you to review this and share your feedback, as you know blame very much lands at your door for this.

As mentioned, firstly i'd like to apologies for the problems you have encountered but appreciate the time you spared today to go into more detail. Its this detail that will help us improve moving forward.
The feedback about the table will be shared with the workshop. I'm not sure at this point why the first table delivered was smaller than expected. That definitely shouldn't of happened.
I also take on board your feedback regards communication. We could and should have been more proactive at points. Potentially managed expectations better, preventing you having to chase us for an update. Again i can only apologies about this.
Finally deliveries. We are a small business with a small delivery team. They deliver by region, which isn't always the most flexible but we find the most efficient. Its disappointing we couldn't deliver on the days of the week that you requested. I understand how frustrating this would have been and again we will take it on board and look for ways we can improve this in the new year.
I'm glad to hear you have a table that you are happy with but frustrated myself its taken this long for us to achieve this outcome.
Thanks again for your feedback. It will be acted on.

Dining table not as advertised
Bought a dining table and it wasn't as pictured. The finish on the wood was completely different to the photos on the website and the legs of the table had rust on them. Appreciate rustic tables can have varying styles but this wasn't within an acceptable range. After much back and forth with the company my husband managed to negotiate them picking it up for a reduced fee of £50, down from £100 and we had to wait a few weeks for them to collect. It was a disgrace we had to pay for the collection of this item. We were offered an exchange but we weren't willing to risk receiving another product that looked different to the online pictures and needed to get a table faster. Would avoid this company.

On reviewing your order and the interactions with the team, i can see on this occasion we got it wrong.
Although some of the issues you identified where within tolerance and to be expected. I do agree the small rust patch on the frame should have resulted in a full refund without charge once you declined the replacement.
This is something we will look at internally to make sure we improve and something we will share with the workshop to prevent any future orders going out with the same issue.
We are a small independent business, we don't always get it right, but we will always hold our hands up, rectify the situation and look to improve.

Brilliant table, lucky delivery
Brilliant table, exactly what we wanted.
Delivery could have been an issue though...
Between ordering and delivery we moved house. We notified H&W of the change, received a confirmation to the old address, notified them again, all resolved... Then, on the day of the delivery, received a call from the delivery team that they were outside our property... It transpires, our old property! Thankfully we had only moved three miles, so we were able to receive the delivery, but it could have been delayed considerably.
Ok, so none of that really detracts from the quality of the table, which is brilliant, but it should have been sorted first time.
