Selvie has helped me immensely since the beginning of my investing journey. I’m 34 y/o & the first in my family to invest, so really felt quite vulnerable. I was impressed by how much time and patience Selvie seemed to be able to offer me.

She’s so kind and supportive, and has always been on the other end of the phone if I’ve ever needed anything. I’ve now started investing slowly but surely, and being a part of the HIF community has helped a lot, too. She also offers 1-1 sessions, as well. All of this is so important for someone looking to invest in as halal a way as possible.

I’m based in the UK and have found most things applicable over here. I’ve even hopped on calls with other women in the community who have more experience than me and have been doing it for longer and who are happy to speak from their own experience.

Lastly, HIF also invites people from within the finance industry for online calls, and I even had a follow up session with a lady who works at Wahed to discuss options etc.

I recently had a personal audit with Selvie and I'm absolutely thrilled! She is very knowledgeable, yet explains everything in a simple and straightforward way. HIF is a pioneer initiative building and providing amazing learning and practical guidance and programs to the community specially to women. It is the only halal investing program running consistently over the years and developing at a reliable level within the community. There is lots to learn in life, especially when it comes to personal finances. Making smart and sincere investments with the aim to generate wealth and reach financial stability (or independence), is something which is neither (or rarely) learned at school, nor at uni.
