Went to see soft cell

Went to see soft cell, omd and heaven 17. The stage, audio and bar was excellent.

Sadly that where the positive part of the review ends, the gig finished an hour and half ago and we have only just managed to get on to the track to get out of the venue. It was a total shambles, everyone is pushing in to an unorderly mess of cars trying to all get onto the road first, way wife who is a very cautious driver was constantly cut up by other cars and we experienced a lot of angry and dangerous individuals nearly crashing into each other and pedestrians. There wasn't a single member of staff controling the situation except for a single steward allowing cars to flow into the sing track to exit.

What started as a lovely day was sadly ruined. We won't be returning here again for another gig. What a shame.

We went to see Tom jones on Saturday 6…

We went to see Tom jones on Saturday 6 th August after enjoying it so much last year. The concert was very enjoyable but the Chaos which developed on leaving afterwards was unimaginable. It took us 2 hours to exit as there was a complete and total failure of any marshalling or safety procedures ( those who were visible were hurling fowl language and jestures at any motorist who complained. This has severely dented to faith in this venue to offer a safe and satisfactory experience ever again. Shame on you Heritage Live!

Tom Jones at Audley End on 6th August…

We went to see Tom Jones on 6th August 2023 at Audley End. The concert itself was very enjoyable. We left the arena 15 minutes before the concert ended and it took us 1 3/4 hours to get out of the car park. There were no marshals controlling the mass exodus of cars. It was a free for all and total chaos. When you pay £10 to park your car you’d expect a proper system to be in place. The amount of money raised would surely justify employing a huge team to assist in the departure. This ruined our evening as we had a long journey home after exiting the car park. I would seriously think twice about attending a concert here again.

TOM JONES AT HERITAGE LIVE

I will say Tom Jones and his guests were fantastic. However the rest of the experience was fairly appalling, particularly the recent reviews stated on trustpilot by other unhappy customers referring particularly to the parking, rude parking attendants (wouldn't call them attendants) arrogant and unhelpful in the extreme. Parked in a field, one exit, poorly lit, dangerous with a lady in front of us falling down an unlit hole over a narrow bridge - she could have been seriously injured but not steward around to assist, no signage, took 2 hours to get out of the car park- ridiculous. That is the last time I go to one of their concerts - they need to look at their parking contractor as it was simply APPALLING.

Dreadful venue for access

Dreadful venue in terms of getting cars in and out. Basically a one track road, so exiting the venue took over 90 minutes. No pedestrian signage or car park signage to help you locate your car. Charging £10 for car parking..English Heritage you should be ashamed. The number of toilets were inadequate. The drinking water points were unmarked. However the most dangerous element, in terms of health and safety, was the lack of clear safety lanes in the audience. People were allowed to sit anywhere, and there were no clear lanes for people to move in and out what so ever. The punters seated at the front literally had to fight their way through the no seated audience, to get to the toilets and facilities. Hugely dangerous.

Heritage Live, never again!

Went to see Noel Gallagher yesterday! What a horrendous experience. Paid £10 to park in a field with uncut grass. If your mobility was poor you would have really struggled. The road in, was a single farm track full of potholes with no attempt made to rectify this, despite the knowledge that hundreds of cars would have used this track.
Getting back to the car from the concert was a joke with limited signage and lighting stewards who hadn’t got a clue about where to go themselves!
The weather was appalling and literally everything was soaked through including ourselves despite wearing waterproofs. Admittedly this can’t be controlled but to then be literally shouted at like small children by a particularly aggressive female steward who insisted we all sit down on wet chairs ( before Noel had even come on stage) was the final straw! Several people tried to explain that when he did come on stage everyone would be on their feet anyway and she really embarrassed herself by insisting we had to stay seated even then. Most odd woman on a power trip!
On top of all this, the toilet facilities were a joke and we queued for over 45 minutes between acts to go! It put us off buying drink. The only good thing I could say about this, was that at no other concert have I seen someone regularly topping up the loo roll.
Noel himself was on top form but I have to say I would never attend a Heritage Live concert again as the disorganisation is unrivalled!

70s disco nite

We booked to see Miss Disco, Boney M, The Real Thing & Bjorn Again at audley end Aug 4th, 2023.
What a shame the sound quality was so poor you could hardly hear the singers over the music & the fun fair rides.....think this needs addressing prior to your other concerts you have booked in there.
The carpark to which you are charging £10 for is an absolute joke....the grass has sort of been cut but makes walking through it still difficult for all ages.....God help you if it rains badly!! & as for the parking staff, not sure which company you have used but ideally they need to go onto Customer service courses as their manners are non-existent! They're rude & far too abrupt....I would seriously think about booking this venue again....as it was poor.

HOZIER @ ENGLEFIELD ESTATE, nr READING

Fantastic event at gorgeous venue - only tarnished by appalling traffic "management" to get us out of the car park afterwards. Granted it is single track onto the road which means that you have to speed the cars up once they have filtered into one line, and put them onto the road quickly; here there was lots of shouting (which couldn't be deciphered) but no-one there who knew what they were doing in terms of getting us out efficiently, just woeful. It is a skilled job, please learn from this and use skilled personnel.

Heritage live restrictions spoil great experiences

Went to see Billy Ocean at Sandringham recently and it was great. Everyone took there own picnics and seating. Booked Van Morrison and Robbie Williams for end of August run by heritage live, different story. Can't take in anything and have to buy everything. Can't they just make enough from the tickets with being so greedy, stock response is police advice, really!!!!! So you can't take in your own chairs or food but you can rent them, sounds much safer,!

Booked tickets to go see Tom Jones on…

Booked tickets to go see Tom Jones on Sunday 14th August at Audley End House. We booked The Golden tickets and parking. When we arrived there everyone could park wherever they wanted to no one was checking parking tickets. 20min walk to concert. No one was checking The golden tickets- seating tickets. People with standing tickets were standing a front of us blocking our view. We had to ask security to remove them. The chair were so small and tight together it was impossible to sit on them! Toilets 15min walk. Only the raw A could
Use toilet next to golden tickets! Not impressed, really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend them.

Elbow 13th Aug 22

Elbow 13th Aug 22
I have never booked VIP tickets before but decided to treat us to something special. I really wish I hadn't bothered.
As the other review states, parking was difficult and it was a long walk to the entrance. No real beef with that but what I do have beef with is us paying over £20 extra per ticket and it being a complete waste of money.
I was promised picnic benches or comfy seating (unreserved) with a VIP bar and VIP toilets. When we got there all the seating was full and there was nowhere to stand or even sit. Part of the VIP area had its view blocked by bins as well.
I emailed Heritage Live to be told 'staff are doing their best'. I was also told 'if you arrive several hours after the gates were opened,it's not surprising seating was taken'. I arrived at 7.15, OK they might have run out of seats but there should at least be room to sit or stand, there was none.
I complained the view was poor due to bins being in the way to be told 'I was in the area myself 2 days earlier and the view was absolutely fine certainly not blocked by bins or anything else'.
I was told if I wanted a refund of the additional £20 I should contact Ticketmaster who u am pretty certain will say contact Heritage Live!
The response to my email was appallingly worded, accusatory and frankly amateurish. Such a shame as the venue itself was incredible.

Tom Jones/English Heritage you really need to be aware of thisHeritage Live at Audley End

Heritage Live at Audley End on 14 August
The roads were blocked for miles each direction. There were no people on the roads helping it to flow. We gave up in queue and decided to walk the last mile, as out taxi costs was racking up! When we eventually got to the admission gates, I’m not saying we were stripped searched but near enough. Very aggressive staff. I was appalled to see a lady in a wheelchair in front of us, having her medication examined on the table and being asked what they were for. What is happening we all paid a lot of money for an enjoyable evening. The average age of the people there were in their 50’s. To add insult as we couldn’t take drink in, we had to pay £7 for about an inch of Prosecco, they were selling bottles of Prosecco for £38. Another distressing incident was in the front seating, two ladies ran towards to stage, it was all in good humour, and we were all laughing at them as they waved their knickers in the air. They were literally dragged back by two burly bouncers. The whole of the atmosphere was very menacing. I will never go to another concert put on by Heritage. Tom it’s not all about huge profits, you need to review who is supporting your act. Not a great experience at all. And, don’t ask how long it look to get out of the field at the end. A lot of very angry customers

Tom Jones 14 Aug Audley End - Organisational Shambles

Tom Jones 14 Aug Audley End
Paid £7.90 in advance for parking through Ticketmaster [plus over £100 for tickets] which should have given fast track parking as advertised on website. No such thing exists, it took nearly two hours to get in and be parked in a field 15 minute walk away from the arena. Missed the first two acts as a result.
Whole organisation was a shambles.
Trying to get a refund of parking ticket [I know its a small amount but I hate being ripped off] - Ticket master refusing refund and tell me to contact Heritage Live which it impossible to do.

We booked to see Tom Jones at Audley…

We booked to see Tom Jones at Audley End on 14 August 2022. We arrived at 5:45 pm and had to que for over a hour to park, so miised the first act. The price of food and drink was very overpriced. When we arrived at the entrance everybody was searched to see if they were bringing in alcohol and if the were it was taken away from them. When we left we saw the people who searched us on the way in, eating and drinking items from the confistated bins, items that they had taken from paying customers.
Never again will you get me anywhere near a Heritage live concert.

Shady dealings from Heritage Live.

Heritage Live stages concerts in the shade of some of England’s most beautiful and culturally significant venues.
The activities can only be described as shady.
Having bought 2 standing room only tickets for > £200 in 2021 for Kenwood - Boy George - this event has been cancelled twice .
All attempts to get payment returned are met with silence. Most entertainment companies returned monies. I am a fan of many of 2022 artists - but avoiding HL and agents....
Buyers beware! Do not include in your 2022 line up of events.....!
