It's a shame I can not rate this any higher.
Unfortunately it's far from the 4 stars it should be.
Apon arriving I discovered bedding was far from adequate the quilt flat and stained pillows also have long needed updating in bedrooms.
Unfortunately I was in bedroom one with net curtain that had not seen a wash in god now how long dust was so thick it set off my allergies it had 2 bed side lamps I could not use as their was no plugs near to plug them in or an extension.
I had to wash the frying pans as they were caked in grease and they were full of scratches so all food stuck to them .
The fires were un usable no logs left for open fire even though it's summer I paid for the experience of having a log fire and we could use the electric fire in dinning room and the amp had been removed making it un usable again I paid for this experience.
The Cupboard door were plates were kept kept coming open so had to wedge it shut with a piece of cardboard.
The mop was unusable as it just wet the floors threw making it a slip hazard so I went out and bought a wet dry mop which I left their for others to use. It's such a shame as you can tell this once was a beautiful place and would have deserved a 4 star rating had it not been let down by bad maintenance. I would definitely not book here for a week again for the price it was a let down.

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was spotless throughout, very well equipped. Tons of space and lots of comfy, cosy areas. Hot tub was very nice indeed. Bedrooms very nice and lovely bathrooms too.

This was my 2nd stay at Heritage Lodge and it did not disappoint. There were 3 generations of family under one roof for a week and we all had a great stay. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, plenty of living space, fantastic hot tub, well equipped kitchen and only a 10 minute stroll to the beach or to the town centre. The owners are always very welcoming and easily contactable. Dogs are also welcome here. A fantastic week away celebrating a 40th birthday!

We had a wonderful time in Heritage lodge, the house had everything and more that we could possibly need, So well equipped the washing machine and tumble dryer were very handy After being in the hot tub. The owners were so friendly and available if anything was needed. We loved how dog friendly the property was and how accessible it was seeing my husband Was recovering from major surgery a few weeks previously.

Beautiful old house with loads of room for our family of 6 and 2 dogs. We enjoyed the hot tub which was used every day.
The house is well equipped and very comfortable
, the only problem we had was that the upstairs shower was blocked and we were asked to not use it for the last few days of our holiday.

A beautiful lodge, with a fantastic courtyard for our dogs to play in.
The location was very convenient for shops, beach and visiting other places.
The beach was clean and big , so nice to get the sea air.
The church was a useful focal point for finding our way back !
There is a well equipped kitchen, plenty of crockery and cooking aids etc.
There was just the two of us so we had plenty of room but it would be great with a larger crowd of people.
It was lovely and warm as we had quite chilly weather, and we did use the sun lounge more than the sitting rooms .
We had a lovely time and our dogs really enjoyed themselves too.
Nice having the dogs bowls ( which I didn’t expect) and the dog blankets and stair gates .
Our dogs aren’t allowed upstairs so they were much appreciated .
Would recommend it , great for pets and children and adults of course !

We had the most amazing time 8th Dec 2023 for a week
My sister and brother in law came from London and we had our family Christmas
The family and kids loved every minute of it, we have booked again for the same week this year

Fantastic holiday home. Everything we could have wanted from a holiday and more, in a great location. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

House was really nice had everything that we needed. We were lucky to have lovely weather so spent most of our time outside in the hottub.

What a lovely place. Everything was included even down to the small details. We had a wonderful time.
Great that the courtyard was enclosed so no worries regarding our little friends escaping.
Denise and Roy were very helpful and always kept in touch and updated us on everything.

This was our first time coming in the cooler
Weather, and it was still just as enjoyable as in the summer! This time we didn’t have our beloved fur friends with us and we worried how it would feel with out them, as this is a perfect stay if you have fur friends as has a lovely large enclosed patio garden.
We still had a fantastic time and just love the huge space around the lodge. The toy room again was a hit with the kids and having so many rooms and such a big space to play in meant they were not on top of each other arguing ha! The owners as per
Went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay :) we can’t wait to return in the summer.

General Comments
Fantastic dog friendly house (which is much larger than the photos show) with an amazing hot tub and completely enclosed garden, so no worrying about your dogs. It has a covered courtyard off of the garden which is perfect for your dog to dry off and handily a walk in shower in case they need a wash down. Also more than acceptable for humans too.
There's a well equipped kitchen, with the added bonus of a dishwasher, and a separate utility with a big fridge freezer and washing machine and tumble dryer.
All the beds are comfy and a really good size.
Literally across the road from the beach which is beautiful and lots of things to see and do a short car drive away. It's just around the corner from the town centre so perfect for nipping out to get more sparkly to enjoy in front of the fire.
The communication with the owners was brilliant and they were friendly and very helpful. I especially liked the helpful emails before we arrived.
Would definitely return and highly recommend Heritage Lodge even if you aren't taking dogs.
