Mark crossley was brilliant really good speaker and no arrogance about him.
£30 though for a small piece of pie, a small spoon of peas and no chips which was advertised was disappointing and way too expensive.

Excellent event.Pete and the crew organised a great night with a sporting star you got to talk with (not always the case with every event company). Pete and the crew were great, good food and the star fascinating. 5 stars definitely. Table entertainer pre-show was a classy addition (fingerless magician was great). I will be booking more with H&L.

Disappointed by the Gold Experience – Not Worth the Trip
I travelled from Oswestry to the “Evening with Mark Crossley” at FC United in Manchester, arriving at 6.30 pm, hoping for a memorable night. Sadly, the Gold experience fell short in almost every way.
From the start, it felt like the organisers were more interested in pushing overpriced auction items than actually looking after paying guests. The food was a particular let-down: instead of the promised pie and chips, I was served a cold cheese pie with cold baked beans and beetroot. Maybe that’s a local twist, but it wasn’t remotely appetising.
Mark Crossley arrived late—which happens—but there was no effort to keep guests engaged or comfortable in the meantime.
The compere later openly admitted to being a bit drunk, which didn’t exactly scream professionalism. Most people just ended up lingering at the bar.
The magician gave it his all and was the only redeeming part of the evening, but I didn’t pay for a magic show—I paid for a football evening.
When Mark finally took the mic, it was just a rehash of stories already available on YouTube. No fresh insights, just the occasional "blue" swear word thrown in. My partner and I kept exchanging glances, thinking, “Heard that one.” Please advertise the night as that
I had to leave at 11 pm due to a pre-booked taxi, but honestly, I didn’t feel like I missed anything. If you’re considering this event, my advice is: save your money, grab a chippy tea, and watch his Cloughie stories online for free (particularly the Vinnie Jones story). Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it—and I’d suggest Mark refreshes his material if he’s going to charge for it.

Just to clarify a few points — the auction items were not actively pushed throughout the evening; we simply placed a list on tables so guests could see what would be available later on.
We’re also very sorry that the catering fell short of expectations. The food was provided by an external caterer, and we’ll be passing your comments directly to them to ensure this is addressed for future events.
Unfortunately, Mark’s late arrival was outside of our control, which meant the evening ran slightly over schedule. Rather than cutting parts of the event short, we made the decision to allow each section to run its course so that guests still got the full experience.
The magician was included to help keep guests entertained during the photo sessions and while the evening got underway — we’re glad to hear you enjoyed his performance.
As for the stories shared on stage, our events are always billed as “An Evening With” the sporting guest, where they share their personal experiences and anecdotes. Naturally, many of these stories are well-loved and familiar to fans, as they are part of the guest’s own career highlights.
We really do appreciate your feedback — it helps us improve for future events, and we’re sorry this evening didn’t hit the mark for you.

I bought ticket for my dad and partner for father's day
Unfortunately my dad got diagnosed with cancer and his operation was the same time as the event
My partner also had a major heart attack and needed a double bypass
I sent a request in asking someone to call me to explain and request to swap my tickets .......I honestly didn't think I would get a call or they would even believe my very dramatic explanation, but I did and they have been amazing in helping me swap the tickets
Both my dad and partner are recovering and they are set to attend in April
Im really greatful for the companys help

The event was so well organised, everything explained before and during. We were relatively close to the stage but the sound around the room was great. The staff were very attentive though trips to the bar were needed a few times throughout the night.
Alan Keegan was perfect, a true gentleman and lover of not just Ryan Giggs but also Manchester United. Everything thought out from start to finish.
