Disgraceful

Disgraceful. We bought a solid wood big sideboard from them through Check24, once out of the box we found huge damage on the surface. Once reported and investigated, they admitted the item was damaged at their warehouse. Despite that, they still want to benefit at the expense of the customer: the amount they offer to return us does not cover half of the cost to repair the piece. And if we want the piece replaced, they ask us to box it (more than a month later, obviously we had to get rid of the carton box) and get it down the stairs, then the new item up the stairs again. Why should we do that a 2nd time, when the need for a new sideboard is their fault? I cant help but suspect they knew the item was damaged and tried to get rid of it, selling it and expecting that the customer ends up giving up and accepting one of the poor solutions they offer.

As I can see from your order, you were offered a price reduction in case you still wanted to keep the goods. Furthermore, you were offered an exchange of the goods. In this case, it goes without saying that the defective goods must be returned. You can simply use the cardboard packaging from the forwarding. We are also happy to exchange or take back the goods free of charge. Should you wish to do so, simply send us a short message.

Substandard quality, breaks down, fake engagement for refund

Purchased a gas-lift (Stuhlfederung) 17 months ago and it has lost its gas filling already.
Earlier experience showed an average lifetime of at least double-triple that.
Despite SUBSTANDARD QUALITY, they make the customer jump thru hoops, provide Photos (that naturally proved no visible damage), and then declare IT MUST HAVE BEEN DAMAGED SOMEHOW.
How? By USE???
This is fake interes, only lip-service paid.

As of June 9: there has been no compensation, no new product sent (despite of their promise to send a new one).
Is this serious?

Not familiar with fair trading and rules

Be careful when ordering from this company.
We ordered from them througth the Makro marketplace and we would like to send the article we received back (just received yesterday and it's not as expected) Yet they refuse to take back the product as there is no commercial reason for it... (Not as expected, quality is not up to what you expected is apprently not a reason. But even so, the customers have the right to return the products within 14 days of delivery without any reason... They are trying to refuse it now. So just be aware with who you are dealing with. Pay only by providers where they can help you in case of a dispute (paypal, for one)

Re: Bought 4 Kubu Rattan chairs..

HW contacted me after my emotive review, and they couldn't have been more helpful in trying to rectify the problem with the broken chair - thanks a lot Stephan. A replacement seat back and seat arrived via DHL very quickly and all is good. In light of this excellent after sales service, I feel I need to apologise to HW for my original review.

Bought 4 Kubu rattan dining chairs abt…

Bought 4 Kubu rattan dining chairs abt 6 mths ago. Build quality was terrible, and had to replace insert nuts after those in the chairs just crumbled. Today, I leant back gently and the chair cracked and is now only fit for the dump. Should have known better when the website said no returns...

Do not buy from them!!

Delivered broken 300+eur chair - offered 40eur refund

Bought a 300+ eur chair. They sent it with insufficient padding and as a result, it had damage in three places, one of which was a cracked base - needless to say, it's a waste of a good chair, they offered me 40eur of refund for a broken 300+eur chair. 40eur is what I paid for shipping alone, let alone the chair. Insane!
