I hired Hexagon Cleaning Company (Mount Prospect, IL) in Spring 2025 for a deep home cleaning, as I am a disabled person who relies on such services to keep my home safe and livable. Unfortunately, the service I received was appalling. The quality of the cleaning was extremely poor. Several areas were left untouched or even dirtier than before. The cleaners rushed through the job without care, leaving behind dust, grime, and even spilled cleaning chemicals. Worse still, they caused damage to my property in the process. For example, a cleaning solution they used bleached part of my living room carpet, and they knocked over a shelf, breaking a personal item. It felt as though I paid to have my home made worse, not better. The aftermath was devastating and costly. I had to hire a different cleaning service afterward just to redo the work properly, essentially paying twice for one cleaning job. I also had to replace the ruined carpet section and the broken item out of my own pocket, adding unexpected expense. Being disabled, the stress and physical effort of dealing with their mess even caused a flare-up of my health issues. A service meant to help me ended up harming my health and well-being. When I reached out to Hexagon about these issues, their response was dismissive. They refused to provide any refund or compensation, offering no real solution or apology. In short, they took my money and left me with the consequences. This lack of accountability made an already bad situation even worse. This was the worst service experience I’ve ever had. I even had to consider legal action given the extent of the damage and harm caused. I feel obligated to warn others: Avoid Hexagon Cleaning Company at all costs. Their combination of poor quality work and disregard for customer well-being isn’t just unprofessional – it’s dangerous. No one should have to go through what I did.
