False information.
You buy a creator subscription where they talk about unlimited videos and once subscribed, the generation costs come out based on credits.
impossible to evaluate before paying for a trial test.
compared to other similar services they are among the most expensive.

Absolutely horrible. when you start using it, their UX doesn't allow you to preview what the outcome is going to look like. If you click render - viola you've lost your credits. then you gotta pay more to buy some stupid credits which you don't know how it'll be used.

Reply from Heygen
Payed for the creator modell but all I got was 10 videos until my credits were gone.
At the start it sayed unlimited videos, that's not true, they limit you with credits so that you can't go further than that.
I don't recommend it anyone, I go as far to say it is a scam.

Spent two weeks and $$$$$ building 6-7 videos. Logged in to HeyGen and ALL of my videos were gone! Support spent two days wasting my time with a response of “sorry, it’s just Ai glitch” your video and work are gone and we can’t do anything but here’s 100 credits… it’s cost 897 credits to build those 6 videos!!
Don’t waste your time or money on this app unless you are okay with all of your work being deleted!

Heygen is the slowest software I have ever used, literally takes hours to do one task, then it has errors and is not correct it even makes up logos and adds them so you have to then wait hours to remove them using up further credits. I have been working on project for week which should of taken a morning customer support does not seem to actually make any difference at all, you end up using 1000 credits and they give you 20 back as a refund and they say this is the best they can do, it is the wasted time on a project and time you can not get back, I would use another product and look elsewhere.

To everyone out there who is considering to use HeyGen, here is the summary: PLEASE DO NOT GET SCAMMED! THEY HAVE BEEN APOLOGISING BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. these fellas are asking for it. As users we can continually speak up. Don't be easily taken in by the positive reviews and don't be easily taken in by youtube recommendations...

HeyGen is rife with hidden fees. A supposed USD 30/month plan was actually billed as USD 119/month with no warning to me. False advertising on the very borderlands of legality, in my opinion. Avoid this platform for the sake of your bank account and for the sake of human decency.

Awful product and I'd go as far to say a scam - their idiotic AI litters what looks like solid commands and design plans with inexplicable errors so you use more "credits" and have to upgrade/add credits. I'd avoid like the plague if you needed any specificity in the created content.

Heygen charged me nearly €200 even though I was no longer subscribed to their service. The payments continued despite the fact that I did not have any active subscription.
What is even more concerning is that their customer support explicitly acknowledged that I was not subscribed at the time of the charges. They admitted it themselves — yet they still refuse to issue a refund.
Charging a customer without an active contract, recognizing the mistake, and then keeping the money is an abusive and unacceptable practice. This demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism and respect for consumers’ rights.
Unless this situation is resolved promptly, I will be considering formal action. I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious.

Totall scam, Don't even bother trying using HeyGen. So after paying 25 dollars once, to upgrade and make more video's, we couldnt make any. So we stopped using HeyGen (poor features btw) after that they tried to withdraw 25 dollars again and again. But we NEVER accepted paying 25 monthly.... Now we cant get rid of this. Even deleting your account and ending your account is hard (Thats always a red flag) Would not reccommend. Will take further action if they keep trying to take money (after deleting the account and all)

They scammed me, they promised an unlimited subscription, then after paying you find out it's not true

I had a very disappointing experience with HeyGen. Video generation was extremely slow (up to 2 hours waiting time), and the output quality did not justify the high price (85 euro a month plan)
In addition, customer service was unhelpful and unprofessional when I reached out for support. For a premium-priced AI platform, I expected much better reliability and responsiveness.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

I recently wrote a review, not about the product, but about the way it is managed.
My grade was 1⭐️, since then HeyGen have been in touch, understood my issue and have come to an agreement with me.
So now my review update score has increased to 3⭐️, because of how quickly they acted when they found the problem, and props to them for not messing me about with delays or excuses.
I commend their efforts.
I will be using HeyGen and see if I can create something special with it ?
Wish me luck!!
I will be back in a few weeks to let you know how well I have done when using it .
If it’s as good as I hope, I will be pleased to give them another star, but let’s wait and see.
Well i wanted to use it for creating ai models for my videos (facebook ads) and i did, but it was really hard...
i felt like its not that intuitive as it should be(((
I did a couple of videos but decided not to continue with this tool, the quality and mimics were weird

On the good side, it appears that the generated avatars are quite good. It seems they have some great technology but that's quickly destroyed by the very poor user experience and their money grabbing business model. The system is very clunky to operate and is very poor at work flow. Not at all intuitive. There are no tutorial videos. I was directed to their YouTube channel for learning. But that's near useless and mostly advertising. It has taken me hours to produce videos. And most either had problems or I had to buy more credits for. There are no training facilities and the system is not at all intuitive. For an AI company they are not using AI themselves for their UX. It would be simple to create a series of training videos using their own technology. Same with customer support. I have done this in my own company now and have very good UX using AI. I have also been ticked that I thought I was getting unlimited videos (if I stick within the level guidelines). But that does not seem to be the case. They "nickel and dime" you at every turn billing credits for this and that and so on. And Support is near useless. They take hours between chat responses and then don't fully answer the questions. So you have to ask again and wait a couple more hours. I find that the whole experience was frustrating and not worth the hassle. I am right now waiting for a response to a newly generated video, that had problems. I think these guys have some good things but they have a long way to go yet, and don't understand their customers needs. I will look elsewhere. I have spent four days trying to get three or four videos completed that should have taken me a day to complete, at most.
UPDATE: 7 hours after leaving the review Heygen has responded to my review comments. However, I see it's the exact same message, word for word, they leave for all their poor reviews. Disappointingly they still have not responded to the Support questions I asked prior to leaving the review.
UPDATE: Next day: Thank you for the explanation. I have finally received a reply from my Support request. I had outlined the problems I was experiencing however the answer I received was fairly generic and did not answer my questions. I have had additional problems today with my projects and will outline them again in the Support Chat. I'll give this one last shot, because I like the appearance of the final output. If you guys could get your tech issues sorted out, respond faster, generate some training tutorials, improve the UX and workflow, you would have the best product out there. But you have a way to go yet.

I signed up £29 a month subscription. twice they have charged me £150.00 that was last month, and just few days ago they charged me £116.00 For what? I use it twice this month, I only signed up for £29 a month, there is no option for you to top up credits and no one to contact. I am very disappointed and now I will have to find an alternative preferably one that doesn’t rip me off.

I just subscribed today knowing that the creator plan says "Unlimited Video Generation" and of course, ITS NOT unlimited. It has credits hidden when you are in. they advertise their Avatar Model as "Unlimited"? NO! SO BE CAREFUL! You sub with the $29 hoping you can do anything with it? NOPE! It's useless, and you don't even have a room to practice and have some video generations because it cost credits! Find somewhere else! All these companies are the same, trying to ripped off peoples money by MISLEADING THEM!

HEYGEN are charging me £21pm for their free service ??
The site is telling me to upgrade ... How about giving me my money back !!
Customer Service is not a joke, it's non existent, and there is no facility to stop the subscription ????? Red Flag.
The instruction video is rubbish although easy to follow, which makes it even more painful to see these scamming, cash sucking MFkrs doing this.
If I delete, they will still charge, so I'm Pi55ed as there is noway to cancel ..despite what they claim.
They have been reported to my card company also Apple...
I will never ever have any dealings with this company ever , they suck !! DO NOT USE, you have been warned.
