Rod and Tim relaid a large lawn and did some hard landscaping for us this week. They were friendly, helpful and professional in their approach and we are very please with the outcome - and the advice for ongoing maintenance of our new lawn.

Brothers Roderick and Tim seemed lovely lads and a delight to talk to.
Throughout the project they were proactive, politely making and taking suggestions, and taking on board our wishes.
They were respective to our neighbours, and we initially recommended them locally.
However, They can be hard to get hold of as are so busy. Indeed we regret to have to report that we have been waiting NINE months for them to return to finish off and put right some material failings/shoddy unfinished work, so I won't be able to conclude our critique until the job is finished, but will gladly do so then. In the mean time I cannot honestly recommend them as communication is terrible once they've taken your money, and they just ignore your calls.
They clear all waste and left garden clean and tidy.

Home and Garden Somerset completed work on our garden a few weeks ago and we were so impressed that we asked if they could come back again to transform another part of the garden. They are extremely hardworking, professional and tidy workers. We would recommend this company to anyone who wants a very good job done. Very pleased.

Amazing job done by Rod - he totally transformed the front of our house!
He replaced our tatty our driveway with a new outstanding block pave drive, ripped out the old damaged patch of grass and replaced with artificial grass, and replaced all the borders with new blocks and chippings to match the driveway. We've had so many comments from neighbours and people in the street to say how amazing it looks.
Totally professional, value for money and a great friendly guy - we're getting him back in a few months time to transform the back garden for us.

Rod and Tim are fantastic. They’ve done a wonderful job. Polite, reliable and knows their stuff. They really go the extra mile to make the finish perfect. Wouldn’t have anyone else.

Rod and Tim have just completed my mums back garden. The aim was to get everything the same level a safe for her whilst she is enjoying her garden. I was impressed with the attention to detail and communication through out the job. Never to busy to stop and talk things through.

Not rushing in and rushing out! Everything done to a very high standard. As the job progressed we changed the ideas a little and it wasn't a problem.

Every aspect of the job was talked over with myself and my mum. I can now not worry about her falling over in her old unlevel back garden as they have totally transformed it with the safety factor in mind. Even installing her a new washing line and hanging her garden tools in her garage. Nothing was too much trouble.

Great job and I am looking forward to seeing my mum enjoying her lovely new space!

I would highly recommend Rod and his brother at Home & Garden Somerset. They were fast efficient and did a great job with our garden. Really pleasant and helpful to deal with also. They obviously have a great deal of experience and passion for what they do.

Rod has just completed works to my front and back garden.

Works included:
-New large patio.
-Laying artificial lawn.
-New fencing to the rear of the house.
-Installing new boarders "sleepers".
-General landscaping.

Rods experience proved invaluable, it allowed him to make some very good recommendations which improved the overall look of the garden. His diligence and standard of workmanship was first class.

Rod and the team were very professional and reliable. They were very proactive and always explained my options throughout the project, they even did some general weeding and tidied up my existing gravel beds without asking, when they left the whole garden looked stunning.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. Cracking job lad's, keep up the good work.

Rod was very professional, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When quoting for our job he explained our options which was really helpful as we are very much amateur gardeners!

The work that was carried out was done throughly and to a high standard. When Rod wasn’t happy with the quality of the soil delivered he didn’t hesitate to let us know and get it replaced which was great. He even returned a month after the job was completed to roll the new turf for us with was great.

If we decide to have anymore work done to our garden we would 100% use Home & Garden Somerset again.

We recently had an extensive piece of work done to our front and rear gardens, which included:

● Garden levelling and landscaping
● Garden clearing
● Removal of greenhouse
● Large patio laying
● Laying of loose slate plum chippings
● New drain
● Weeding and mulching
● Brand new lawn
● Erection of fence and side gates
● General garden trim and maintenance

From the outset Rod and his two colleagues were very friendly and professional and communication was down to earth and easy. They were respectful to us and our neighbours and we were able to get on with our days whilst work was being carried out (and it was a large project - around 2 months give or take).

Given the scale of the job in hand, we were able to amend the scope as Rod went along with no issue or fuss. For example the mulch, fence and gates were all amendments to original requirements and Rod simply made it work and fit it in. He was an excellent pragmatist, able to walk the line between the practicalities of cost and time versus the overriding vision of the project.

We appreciated how Rod was environmentally minded and took on board our requests to be wildlife friendly. Our cats also were quite keen on Rod, following him around and sometimes sitting in his digger.

We would recommend Home & Garden Somerset 100% and are going to use Rod on an ongoing basis for annual maintenance, and will do so knowing that we can put our trust and confidence in him doing a great job.

Excellent service and workmanship. Rod is a very pleasant person and it was a pleasure to have him around. Nothing was too much trouble and the best my huge hedge has looked in years. Would definitely recommend.

Great couple of men. Organised and turned up when they said. Got the job done within the time frame, and I am so pleased with the result. Gave excellent advice as to what I want doing in the garden next year and I will definitely be contacting them again for the next phase.

Not only did Rod engage with us as clients he was a pleasure to be around. We were quite precise about what we wished for - and did change our minds once or twice, which couldn't have made things easy all the time. However, Rod took this all in his stride. Great job and I'd certainly ask him back again should we need to.
