The bidding process was very good - smooth, no issues or errors. Trying to obtain a list of items by Category is a challenge. Two reasons: 1. the system doesn't "hold" the Location I select. It goes b... See more

Weekly Live Auctioneer Format Went to Online Only for Easter
An online auction format where multiple items are closing within seconds of one another allows one little to no time to review additional items available for sale. This can involve enlarging and examining an item’s photo(s) for overall condition, using a tape measure, yardstick, or ruler at home to accurately visualize size since close-ups, by nature, make items appear larger than they actually are, and research recent sales. The latter is just as important for new, old stock, bulk, pallet purchases as it is with antiques. Remembering the original, purchase price from one's childhood or earlier years is in no way related to a collectible’s value later (comic books and rookie sports cards are prime examples of that) and new, old stock can be expensive. If one has never considered purchasing a specialty, high-end, kitchen item(s) or gadget(s) before, his or her bidding decisions will be based on more common, inexpensive items/gadgets. That’s potential auction revenue lost!
New items in regular “weekly” auctions have been historically posted as late as one day before their auction occurs and are often interspersed amongst previously posted listings as alphabetic additions such as #18a, 18b, 18c, etc., following #18 so ALL listings must be scrolled through to discover what is new. Sometimes I don’t want to bother and just wait to see what, if anything, looks interesting as I’m waiting for a specific item or items to close.
Hi-Bid's soft close, 1-minute extensions can actually leave someone monitoring multiple auctions simultaneously. It is very unrealistic to suggest one place their maximum bid beforehand since that number is semi-fluid. Hypothetically, one can decide $50 is his or her sweet spot bid, but paying an amount more when facing competition is common. It’s not paying $55 for an item, but rather $5, $10, etc., more which is essentially throwaway money. People will easily spend that buying a snack and/or beverage in a grocery or hardware store check-out line. The thought is often, “I’ll buy a few less coffees this week to make-up the difference or go out to eat one less time."
As for the auction format itself . . . the 30 second delay on updates . . . bid history being lost after closing . . . weak search capabilities . . . I’ll say HiBid "functions.” For one familiar with eBay and I’ve been a member since 1999, HiBid can be frustrating to use. I’ve learned to back into searches (including when auctions are active) by searching for a specific word within 25 miles of the auction facility’s zip code. It SHOULDN'T be this way. I’m using my computer literacy and eBay familiarity to get more from HiBids current software capabilities. If I had to choose one update, tighten-up HiBids search abilities.
Always great items
Always great items! I’ve done pickup and had items shipped before. Buy with confidence with this seller!

It’s too hard to find the items I was bidding on, it would be nice if a person could click on the auction and be able to see what’s going on with the items they are bidding on
Very easy to bid
Very easy to bid. Good selection. Bids remained reasonable in most cases. I have still not paid or picked up but I'm expecting that to be equally convenient
HiBid ROCK's!!

Many great items that you can bid on and the joy of having the winning bid at a great price.
I am currently waiting for a response…
I am currently waiting for a response with a winning bidding item that as soon as we opened the box it was damaged. Also disappointed in the misleading information that was on the website we expected another colour that was displayed only to find out once we opened the link after it was a much different colour. More importantly there was so much damage on the item after it was displayed on the website as brand new
Counterfeit collectible trading cards
So Mojave collectibles and I think the other auctioneer was called pickers you can see on my account but they are selling counterfeit Pokemon and their description said that they were rare vintage Pokemon cards and when I confronted them about that they said that it's all sales are final blah blah blah and I want my money back because their description was deceptive maliciously and the fact that you guys are allowing them to sell fake Pokemon cards is another huge issue trading cards in general counterfeit cards ruin the industry please make sure that people selling stuff on your platform are being honest with their description of the product and not intentionally trying to dupe people into buying fake shit with a description saying it's real.

New to the Site
Brand new to bidding on the site and it was a seamless experience.
Its just ok
Not a bad format but there is much that could be improved. Like most online auctions there needs to be an email notification as to when you are outbid on an item. Also need to have the ability to retract and lower your "max bid" amount.
3rd world level accountability
I've been buying from Hibid for a few years now and this company literally does the bare min and uses the excuse "it's just a software company". I've had insane shipping charges from auction houses that refuse to provide receipts. I mean like over $100 for simple items and sellers just won't even give me a basic receipt for my small business. I've had products with pictures looking like products are in mint condition to get them and they fall apart. The kicker is if you complain the auction house or do a charge back from fraud they can make a note about you and get you banned. Someone needs to sue this platform for it's 3rd world level lack of accountability. These people profit based on buyers but they screw buyers right and left and allow fraud on their site. This should not be legal. At least 10-20% of my experience so far has been negative and it's unnecessary if this company chose a basic level of accountability. All Hibid would need to do is staff more and start cutting off the auction houses that have bad practices. I can also clearly see some houses are selling counterfeit luxury goods. Some of the jewelry described as rare etc you can easily screen shot to see they are basically shein items masked as "vintage". This is tough for resellers with small businesses that use this platform for products. This is fixable and this could be a better platform but they clearly dont' want to make the investment to be a better "software company". For the 80% of sellers that are good the 20% or more that are terrible really ruin it for them. They don't care.
Most Auctions on highbid go very well …
Most Auctions on highbid go very well i like gold standard auctions out of Texas . Very nice people to deal with. My information seems to be secure on your site and I'm always kept up to date on upcoming auctions. Thank you.
Resale Certificate
Its good, I wish the platform would keep resale certificate on file so the auction company know we have one and I dont have to keep sending it each time like its in my account page or something
Loss of site
Often ,when bidding ,I would lose access and be re routed or frozen out. I would have to completely restart my access to the site.
I have T Mobile.
It doesn’t happen on CT bids.

I won 2 items that I wanted and there others I didn't win, but there will be other auctions.
Price Realized Method
Hi, I’m not sure I would use Bertha in the Babes auction anymore. Twice, at the close, I’m the winning bid and like 15 seconds to the end I get a notice that price realized and I’ve lost by five dollars. When I look at the bidders, I’m not even on the list? This has happened twice. think something‘s weird when I’m not the one of the final bidders when I have the winning bid. Sometimes their information is incorrect.
